Idea Pots: Cultivating Creativity with High School Ceramic Students

Watch Demonstration Teacher Keith Brockie as he works with his high school ceramic students on a unit designed to cultivate student creativity through the creation of a socio-critical pieces of art. Students can be seen in all stages of construction of their sculptures starting with an introduction to the featured artist, Richard Notkin, and culminating with a student presenting at the end of year IB art show. Mr. Brockie demonstrates how he teaches the scope and sequence of the unit as well as provides rationale behind the importance of developing creativity within his developing artists.
