How does it compare to the Logitech G Pro X ( and G pro x 2 ? ) i got the Logitech G pro x now..was considering new headphone :) im really tempted now playing only games, like CS2 and sometimes RUclips music does it sound good enough ?
Beyerdynamic ear pads tend to soften up over time, at least with the DT 900 Pro I have. Glad to see the small gap on the headband, I remember trying out the original MMX300 from like 8 years ago, it gave me instant pain on the top of my head.
I plan on using these quite a bit, so it'll be interesting to see how the comfort changes over time.
@@9to5toys you can opt to buy replacement silver velour cups from beyer dynamic's site (the ones for the DT model) they give a different fullness to volume too
So this is a DT-797 with different cable and branding?
With microphone aside , what has better audio quality for gaming the mmx 300 pro or the 900 pro X ?
Mic sounds fantastic
How are thery compared to the GEN 2? Im pretty disappointed they didnt change the microphone mechanism..the microphone on my GEN 2 just broke and theres no easy way to fix it
Does the gen2/mk2 have active mic monitoring? Cause not a single review I've watched says whether or not you can hear yourself through the speakers when ya mic is on.
How's a run down of the Pro & Gen2/MK2 specs

You could get the Tygr 300r + a Shure mv7 for roughly the same price as these tbh.
Infinitely better mic with an amazing set of cans.
How does it compare to the A50x or the Maxwell ?
This is the best comment
Does the Pro have active mic monitoring?
How does the sound compare to the MMX 200 wireless?

@@thomasdauphin4126in a good way because I really liked the mmx200
@@thomasdauphin4126 can you give some details ? I don't want cables but it seems like that always comes with a compromise
@@llukas0906 I would also be interested
One thing to add - Beyerdynamic is actually one of the very few western companies that still produce at home rather than in China!
Hi I just bought the meze 109 pro wired headphones they supposed to be in tomorrow I don't buy gaming headphones because there trash but these might be decent but will see what the other reviews are in the upcoming take care and happy gaming to all
Enjoy, it's a good headphone...bit overpriced though at full price. I recently got the Aune ar5000, it's pretty great for $300 but not as exciting as the 109pro.
Please release a NEW Tygr 300
Instant buy if they do, i love mine
@@omniscient4510 They are still my favorite open backs and I also own the HD 490 Pro and have used the DT 1990 Pro in the past.
These better than audeze
One of the major flaws of the MMX 300 1st Gen was that the slider was cheap, easy to break, and really expensive (around $30). One of the responses i got after leaving a comment, in their product video, expressing this concern is that they changed the slider but they didn't say how they improved it. If its the same flimsy, easy-to-break quality, this headset is not worth it. I wish someone would go into into further detail about this.
I can tell you my Gen 2 is still fine. The slider feels bit lighter but never any points for breaking / getting loose. Maybe this helps =)
@@MortyMore I have 10 Gen 2 here (bought them for our company) and the slider breaks on ALL of them. The cable for the new MMX 300 Pro is the same cable, so there will be the same issue. Biggest issue is dust getting in and after some time the balance (L/R) breaks and you have to slide the volume up and down a bit to restore the balance. Already had some of the sliders open and cleaned them with some contact spray. Unfortunately this is the single biggest weak point IMHO.
Just got the new MMX 300 Pro today and the sound seems a little less bassy, but overall definitely a step above the Gen 2. Mic doesn't seem much different, as no one I talked to today over the mic noticed anything.
So all they’re doing is reselling and marking up the normal MMX 300? Im glad I still have my original
They're both $500 in Australia

Nothing to see here. It'd a rebadged mmx 300 gen 2.
@@martynpd1 it has new speakers, & headband padding, it a tad different mate. Like a gtr vs gts skyline
@@martynpd1 slightly tweaked mic range too
@@Benji_64 I get that, but reviewers are treating it like this is the first time they've made a product like this with click bait titles like "Studio-quality gaming headset?!" it's existed since QPAD made the MMX 300. They revised it and made a gen 2
@@martynpd1 yeah it's an unfortunate state of affairs, since it's what gains the algo views
@@martynpd1 dunno what happened to my reply about the aux lead comment you left too. But my wired turtlebeach PX21, 22 & 24 all had my mic go through the speakers/ mic monitoring, so how come this wouldn't? Because there isn't a preamp built into the lead? I'm planning on using my dac1 to px22 preamp with this headset. Could that then allow for my own voice to play through the speakers when on?
Did you ever tested the Audeze Maxwell? Absolutely amazing Headset. In comparison the Beyerdynamic is absolutely overpriced although the mic is very good.
I've had my audeze maxwell since day one regret buying them there too too too too heavy for every day usage I play 5 to 6 hours every day and there not even comfy I tried different ear pads different headbands still no go and there too too bulky I haven't used my audeze maxwell for 5 months I'm waiting for the meze 109 wired headphones to come in tomorrow there a open back stereo dynamic headphone so you won't sound like your in a vacuum gaming headphones or headsets are garbage stay safe and happy gaming to all
@@jamesstevens968 Sry that you experience it that way. For me, it is not problem to play with it 5-6 hours. They are bulky, but that must not be a problem. It is very individual. But of cause they could be lighter.
I also have an Hifiman Arya Organic for music and playing games. In comparison, the Maxwell sounds not as boxy than I am used to regarding closed back headphones/headsets.
Soundwise I would say, the Maxwell is one of the best headsets and closed backs you can get, because it has audiophile sound capabilities.
But that’s my experience and opinion of cause.
Why was my previous comment deleted? Did I write something offensive?
I own the Maxwell's & Tygr 300r & the beyer destroys it tbh.
Maxwell is too small on my head, the audio isn't as good & it's nowhere near as comfortable.
@@WildfireX Nice to hear, that you like the Tygr. I owned one a time ago. They are very good headphones, especially when you get one on sell.
I understand that an know, that people can have problems with the comfort of the Maxwell. I personally have no problems with it and can wear it for hours. But it is of cause a subjective thing and differs from person to person.
Beside the comfort level: the Maxwell should be objectively and from an audiophile perspective the more capable headphone regarding every sound aspect (beside it many customizable options) e.g. level of detail, leaner frequency response (with standard setting), more precise imaging, better dynamics, more realistic soundstage, bigger sounding and so on. That’s my experience, when I compared it to the Tygr.
There are also people who have problems with the comfort of the Beyers.
The only thing that I want to say is: I think the new Beyer Headset is too expensive, when we consider the alternatives.
Everything beside of that is of cause subjective (comfort, if you like the sound, and so on).
FFS why can't they just give me a Bluetooth Tygr 300r
I already have a shure mic & wired headphones
