1:22:16 look Lisa, you can pinpoint the EXACT moment his heart breaks in front of a live audience!
I love how much fun you had and how quickly you understood the puzzles! Hope you got a chance to read the translated manual, even if deciphering it yourself isn't your idea of a fun time - some of the lore in there is nuts!
This game goes so much deeper than you experienced here.
Hell, there is a full musical language you can decipher. Several of the game's tracks have lyrics written in this language, numerous enemies actually speak in it, every single fairy (and the seeking spell) has its own unique dialogue in it, and every single time you find a new major item (such as the sword, magic dagger, magic orb, and every single one of the special golden items) you get a unique message in the notes being played. If you know how to decipher it, you can figure out ALL of that.
It's kind of insane.
Also, if you look in the manual on the items page, each type of bomb has a code you can input using the Holy Cross, and you can get one bomb of each type if you input the code. If you go back to the special Golden Path save on the Load Game screen, input the code for a fire bomb, set yourself on fire, and let yourself die, you enter a special demo room.
Fun!
Just...so much stuff. And there's so, SO much more than that. It's absolutely nuts.
I am amazed by PointCrow puzzle solving. Especially the Door To The Mountain.
And the fact that he does even know how to shield parry.
Amazing gameplay
I literally got goosebumbs at around 3 hours when he started figuring everything out. Never played this game this was all blind to me and it's fucking epic
PointCrow is my favorite streamer to watch while playing Dead Cells, waiting for the family of four to wake up in my basement.
Oh, also the normal tax evasion.
"Mom, can we get Tunic?"
"No, we already have Tunic at home."
"No we don't"
"........Oh"
My older sister actually creates her own booklets for all the games she has because she misses those so much and she does calligraphy so they look awesome!
Have you shown her Tunic?
@@Lycanthromancer1 not yet I am waiting for her birthday!!!!
As someone who 100%d the game without a guide, for anyone watching thinking some of the puzzles are too difficult to solve without assistance, they're doable. Just gotta return to the manual to find something you haven't understood yet whenever you're stuck.
I love the fairy puzzles because it's supposed to be something you do over the course of the entire game, but it's so easy to completely miss. My first time I waited until last thing to start and hated it, but I've seen other people pick up on it really fast and do it as they arrive to new areas. It's just goes to show hoe open ended this game is with its information management.
You're definitely not supposed to do any of them until after the page explaining the directional mechanics. Almost nobody would begin doing the directional puzzles on their own without that prompt or some form of spoiling.
Yeah it's possible to break the intended informational progression by, say, intuiting the sliding doors and just trying that one crazy idea to see if it works. But very very unlikely without a tip-off. The way crow did it is the way you're expected to do it and the way almost everyone does it: discovering page 42 and then page 43 after obtaining Laurels, and gradually learning to generalize and find the patterns elsewhere.
thank you thank you THANK YOU for giving us the ending. This was so amazing to watch unfold.
Tunic really made me remember those cardrives home from the gamestore as well. In particular the really early ones when I was too young to read trying too piece together some kind of understanding of the game from pictures alone.
I absolutely love these first playthroughs of smaller games! :) I already watched the twitch video because I'm impatient but can't wait to watch again heh
I had just finished watching your other vod of tunic yesterday. This timing is impeccable 😊
I could only catch bits and pieces of this live, so I'm glad I can finally watch it all in one go
The golden puzzle was awesome!
Pcrow, just want you to know that I love seeing you play Tunic. It's honestly one of my favorite games of all time, and watching other people figure out all the secrets makes me giddy! I know BOTW and Pokemon have become your primary content, but seeing you play other games is just as fun! Just wanted to let you know that there is an audience out here for these casual playthroughs.
That puzzle was INSANEEEEE I would've never figured that out without spoilers.
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LOOOONG
I love how much Crow is amazed by this game and how much he is sharing his excitement. Him being so immersed made this stream 100x better than it already was :D
binged this while at work, thanks for the epic content eric
as a huge HUGE fan of this beautiful work of art game, I had a fuckin blast watching this stream being a vod frog a year later lol. Don't usually watch your stuff but saw this pop up on my yt page and had to give it a watch from start to finish as background noise. Your gameplay was super fun to watch and you're a lot smarter with the puzzles than most people would be which made for a very enjoyable watch too haha! Thanks for the lovely ride and I'm so happy to see someone enjoy this game half as much as I do. Also, the physical manual is a staple of my bookshelf and so is the fox plushie; highly recommend buying both from Finji 👌.
thank you for playing this game.
it was as fun watching you fall in love with this game as i hoped. ^^
i hope you find many more games like this and outer wilds to fall in love with.
we may not be your usual crowd but know at least i loved watching you play this and will try to watch more of you.
ive been waiting for this vod!!!
Loved watching your playthrough of this and Outer Wilds! I hope you pay through more games like this.
I'm so glad you did a part 2! A perfect ending indeed.
Literally watching this video one day after beating tunic, this game is insanely good
How long it took to figure out the holy cross hurt, but the satisfaction when he got it.
to anyone who’s wondering, yes tunic speedruns are absolutely epic, i would recommend the channel silentdestroyer and also the tunic GDQ feature!
omg i’ve literally been checking every single day for this to be uploaded😭 can’t wait!!!!
There's an interesting theory regarding the good ending to Tunic. One of the notes on a blackboard in The Library has a picture of an NES cartridge. It says, "The universe!" and "HOW? HOW? HOW? HOW? HOW?" So the world of Tunic is actually, canonically a video game.
And the reason "Mom" cried when you gave her the manual was actually because she was the one who owned the game and manual before you, and she was the one who wrote all the notes in it, like a parent or an older sibling who plays a video game, spends time with it, and loves it, before passing it on to their child or younger sibling, who plays it and loves it just as much. Giving her the full manual reminds her of the love she had of the game and the nostalgia it gave her of her childhood, reawakening all of those memories. Hence the tears and her coming back to life (actually her childhood memories coming back).
And since Tunic is both a real world and a game world (complete with players being a canon thing), this is kinda straddling the line between the gaming world and the real world both, as Little Fux and Momma Fux are both characters IN the game AND players OF the game.
I thought it was fascinating.
Yeah a lot of the "lore" and story of Tunic is actually kind of a reflection on how it's almost impossible for a gameplay loop to be accurate to a timeline that makes sense, especially with replays. "The thread is snagged into a squirming coil, with no beginning and no end," because time has to behave weirdly for you to be able to play and have fun.
I do find it really funny that the Librarian managed to figure out he lived inside a game (the "canonical plane"), but without the right manual pages he couldn't understand the concept of controller inputs and thus never figured out that the Holy Cross wasn't an item. Truly a case of side character syndrome.
PLEASE lookup “the Eyes of the far Shore” ending, there is a TON more to the game after this that requires getting all fairy’s and collectibles and then translating 2-3 dif in game languages lol, obv not something you’d probably do but it’s still awesome to see how much went into this game
ive finished the part where (spoilers below)
it sent you to a website
seemed like there was sort of an ARG after that but that it would be just kind of an extra thing mostly unrelated to the game
got stuck trying to find the next step
should I try again? is continuing there worth? is there more in game content?
vague answers pls i dont wanna be spoil
@@electra_ there is no more endings, the above comment is a bit misleading. There is one more language to learn and that website can help you learn it, but I think probably ok to just look it up
Yeah that Website/Video is what I was referring to. Sorry if that was misleading to call it a dif 'ending" lol, I guess Post-ending stuff. Not really much in game (that I'm Aware of rn), Like Mibadada said looking it up is probs the best bet
I've been waiting for a long time for this to finish.
Long time fan here, I really appreciate that you thought this was a perfect game. I wholeheartedly agree, as this is one of my all time favorite games. I finished the game shortly before I saw you play it and I was overjoyed to see you play it
cant wait for the vid on the main
Wish I could forget this game so I could replay it all over again for the 1st time
im so glad you played this crow. i ALSO started it just based off razbutens praise for it, knowing absolutely nothing going in, and the combat aspect ended up being too difficult for me to want to push through. so im incredibly happy i was able to experience the game through your playthrough.
They added combat difficulty settings in the accessibility settings menu specifically so that people could experience the game despite the combat being too difficult for them. One of the manual pages has a bit that translates to "options mean you can keep playing if the challenge is too much right now. You are allowed!!" I'm not sure if you never figured this out or nobody ever mentioned it to you, or if you just decided you'd rather not play than play with those on, but either way I think it's a little bit of a shame. Glad you got to see what you missed anyway.
any game that requires opening MS Paint is a good game
wait this was dropped literally yesterday as I just binged through the previous vod like yesterday
Midnight vod frog 🐸
There is a randomizer for this game. it would be fun to watch you suffe- I mean play the game a different way.
I admit I betrayed my vod frogs brethren and watched this one live, doesn't mean I'm not gonna rewatch it though 😌😂
Thanks for all the excellent content Mr Crow!
Haha me too!! This and Outer Wilds made me break my vodfrog status 😌✌️
I’m a true vod frog 🐸 cuz I don’t have twitch
@@Decided_breath What does that mean??
@@calvinwithak7514 Probably a mobile exclusive viewer who has the youtube app but not the twitch app
ohhhhh so *that's* how i should introduce myself
thanks for the great tips as always, just like in your cooking show (i follow along with every recipe!)
I thought the day would never come. yay a new tunic VOD! :)
Same three weeks of waiting
LETSGO I couldn't catch the end of Tunic live
Every 10 (non paid for) bombs you use, you get a permanent 1 that refreshes at every rest. (the permanent ones do not count as apart of the 10 uses)
VOD 🐸
2:47:40 when in doubt, smoke it out
fuck me, he´s good at the puzzle solving. like, thats just fucking impressive. i guess thats what happens if you actually just get into it and try to figure it out but still, this was amazingly fun to watch.
The moment when you solved the golden monolith i saw your brain expand by 42% in size. Youre a god damn GAMER, Eric!
pcrow playing tunic aka Eric being smarter than me for the entire playthrough
Oki
let him COOK
I don't think tunic's combat is horrible by any means but I'm not gonna lie I actually physically recoiled when that chatter compared it Furi lmao
Just another journey to a strange island. OH MY GOSH, WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FACE!
Atill curios what's the 60 seconds in water
Played through the entire game, never learned how to nudge the camera to see things hidden in corners...
And even after all he did there is so much more to explore and do lol, but yeah only for completionists
"you nonbinary pal" there is only one
I'm a little surprised you didn't expect Dark Souls saving rules: constant autosaves will retain any progress and even slain enemies (until death), but also punish you for any loss of HP or items, and you cannot load any version of your save except the most recent.
It's actually pretty easy to savescum on PC if you really want, because the game does keep a big buffer of those previous versions as files, so if you delete some in a file manager it'll just load the most recent one that's left. But that entails finding your Tunic save directory and pretty much violates what the game expects you to be able to do. Definitely a scummy move... if there were anyone else you were playing against. (As far as I'm concerned savescumming singleplayer games is a perfectly valid decision if you're OK with doing it.)
It's really how he actually reached an end of the game, and still didn't understand the Holy Cross.
OMG he didn't even see the arrows
Hi Twitch !!!
Next stream: leave the intro up to chat, and the prime and the subscribing. They'll prob do it all.
Ayo callback to the surgery stream from here in the future! we understand the reference now

I really enjoyed this game until they decided there weren't enough "The Witness" puzzles in the game. Great game, tragic that they flipped the game upside down a bit too hard.
Funny you say that, doing the puzzles / translating the manual was some of the most fun I've had in any game period
It's actually the opposite. The postgame is what made the game goty.
no hate, but it almost feels like he has already played through the game, and he's putting on an act like it's his first time playing. there are just far too many times where he just wonders in the right direction. I'm not sure but this looks sus. I see a lot of this in the first video too
I mean he is a gamer, you kind of get in tune with that sort of thing after a while, even amazing games like tunic are laid on pieces of the same (golden) paths (haha). And something about streaming really turns on that problem solving mindset, I’ve personally solved puzzles faster when on stream than when offline.
And to add, if Pointcrow was acting (which is unlikely) we need to give the crow an Oscar because capturing that innocent spark is a Herculean task.
I do see where you are coming from and I don’t intend to offend in any way with my reply.
@@PloverTechOfficial you're all good. If pointcrow actually figured all that out that fast then props to him. I guess a play through of the game is around 12 hours and that's how long he took
Have you played tunic? It truly does just nudge you in the right direction after you look at the manual for long enough, even if you don't quite realize it. And of course, having hundreds of backseat gamers throwing hints his way helps when he is off base.
Furry game L
