    The time he asks what important person the directors would like to have dinner with, and so Ryan says that at the moment he would invite his mother, and then the interviewer rudely says that nobody there knew her so Coogler had to pick another person, you can see how everyone at the table was uncomfortable. I mean, Bradley just had choose his teacher right before. What a disaster.

      So Bradley casted Lady Gaga after he saw her singing live “la vie en rose”, and of course she had some acting background with minor roles in various TV series which help
      It turned out that Lady Gaga was an excellent choice
      But this sort of things happen all the time in movies productions, hell Harrison Ford wasn’t supposed to be Indiana Jones (Tom Selleck was), Robert Downey Jr. wasn’t supposed to be Iron Man (Tom Cruise was), Keanu Reeves wasn’t supposed to be Neo in Matrix (Will Smith was)
      The list goes on and on
      To ask a question like the one Mr. Lee asked is disrespectful to the actor who ends up with the role

    • @Trilingualeks
      @Trilingualeks 6 лет назад +24

      @@TheOtherGuy021 Bradley also cast Gaga because they have good chemistry as well... when Gaga was on Graham Norton she talked about them just meeting up at home and having spaghetti and talking about making this film, laughing about growing up in italian families... it really made sense to choose her, Bradley wouldn't have had that chemistry with Bey.

      He was actually pretty good in this one, and asked some relevant follow ups. Maybe he finally read the comments.

      To be fair, it's not that easy to moderate a table of several creatives. He has a ton of information in his head, asks interesting questions and all. He does some annoying things, but his job is definitely not as easy as it seems.

    There’s something about this round table, more than any actor or comedian roundtables I’ve seen, that is so warm, respectful (excluding the host, of course) and relaxed. I’m aware some of the directors at the table are more green than others, but it’s clear they all respect and love each other, from the way they bond over favorite movies to professing their admiration for each other’s work. Maybe it’s the third eye actors have for being watched that keep them ever distant, even in the tiniest increment, that puts the actor roundtables a cut below for me. It’s like the difference between listening to an LP and a CD.
