Jāvēd Ahmed Ghāmidī (Urdu: جاوید احمد غامدی) (born April 7, 1952) is a Pakistani Muslim theologian, Quran scholar, Islamic modernist, exegete and educationist. He is also the founding President of Al-Mawrid Institute of Islamic Sciences.
Ghamidi's conclusions and understanding of Islam, including the Sharia, has been presented concisely in his book Mizan with the intention of presenting the religion in its pure shape, cleansed from tasawwuf, qalam, fiqh, all philosophies and any other contaminants.

غامدی صاحب آپ نے بڑی محنت کی ہے۔ میں امریکہ میں رہتا ہوں قرآن میں جو منع ہےنہیں کرتا جو کرنے کو کہتا ہے کرتا ہوں۔ حدیثوں کو غلط نہیں کہتا مگر یقین نہیں کرتا کیونکہ سُنی سنائی باتیں ہیں
نماز کا طریقہ، زکوٰۃ کے مسائل ، قربانی کے مسائل ، وضو کے مسائل ، روزوں کے مسائل ، وغیرہ تو احادیث کے بغیر کہی اور لکھی ہی نہیں گئی۔
دوسرا اگر آپ محدثین کو پڑھے تو آپ کو پتہ چلے گا کہ ایک حدیث لکھنے کے لیے وہ کہا تک سفر کرتے تھے ، پھر حدیث بتانے والوں پر تحقیق کرتے کہ آیا یہ بندہ جھوٹا یا ذہنی بیماریوں کا شکار نہیں ۔ اگر ایک موقعے پر بھی جھوٹ ثابت ہو جاتا تو محدثین اس حدیث کو ضعیف لکھ دیتے۔
تیسرا احادیث لکھنے کا کام خود صحابہ کرام رضوان اللہ علیہم اجمعین نے شروع کیا اور احادیث کی سب سے پہلی کتابیں جو موجود ہے آج وہ سب صحابہ کرام رضوان اللہ علیہم اجمعین نے خود لکھی ہیں۔
اگر احادیث کو ترک کیا جائے تو پھر آپ قرآن کے بہت سے احکام پر عمل نہیں کرپائیں گے جیسے قرآن میں حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی اطاعت کا حکم دیا گیا ہے یعنی ان کی سنت پر عمل کرنے کا تو اگر احادیث کو ترک کردیا جائے تو پھر ہم کہا سے جانے گے کہ سنت کیا ہے اور جب سنت کا پتہ نہیں ہوگا تو کیسے اطاعت کرے گے؟
اس طرح نماز پڑھنے کا حکم ہے لیکن قرآن میں یہ نہیں بتایا کہ کس وقت کتنی رکعات پڑھنی ہیں اور ان کو پڑھنے کا طریقہ بھی نہیں بتایا گیا ۔ اس سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو قرآن کو کھول کھول کر بیان کرنے کا حکم ملا تھا۔
اگر ہم احادیث کو پڑھے تو ہمیں احادیث سے ہی معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بہت سی پیشنگوئیاں کی جو سچ ثابت ہوئے۔ جیسے روم اور فارس کی شکست مسلمانوں کے ہاتھوں ،۔ قسطنطنیہ کا فتح ہونا ، ملوکیت کا دور آنا وغیرہ جس سے ثابت ہوتا ہے کہ احادیث سنی سنائی باتیں نہیں بلکہ سچائی ہیں
اس کے علاؤہ بہت سی دلائل ہیں۔
امید ہے آپ سچ جاننے کے بعد اللہ کی بارگاہ میں توبہ کرے گے اور بے شک یہی اعلی ظرف اور عقل مند لوگوں کی نشانی ہے

محترم غامدی نے بخاری کی مشہور حدیث کے مطابق یہ کہا کہ: "قیامت سے نزدیک لوگ موسقی، ریشم، زنا اور شراب حلال کرلیں گے"۔ جبکہ رسول کریم نے یہ فرمایا (یَسْپَلُكَ النَّاسُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ قُلْ اِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَمَا يُدْرٖيكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ تَكُونُ قَرٖيبًا۔ 33/63) غامدی صاحب کیا بخاری رسول کریم سے بہتر اور باری تعالٰی کی طرح علم غیب رکھتا تھا؟ - کیا ایسا کہنا بخاری کو رسول سے "برتر" باری تعالٰی کے "برابر اَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ" کا درجہ دینا "شرک" نہیں؟ آپ عمر کے آخری حصے میں ہیں، مشرک کیلئے جنت حرام فرما دی ھے 5/72) - آپ تو شرک کا پرچار کر رھے ہیں؟

It's pretty clear, if you already have preset of dogmatic beliefs injected by typical ulemas then you might find it difficult to understand but if you understand it with an unoccupied mind or neutral or free will, you will get to know it's actually making sense.

The interviewer has to convey the thinking of the common man. And about acting and other form of arts, i think ghamidi sahab is of the view that it not haram in its entirety but if it is used to spread bad or vulgar things, it is obviously wrong. So imo, since most of the songs and movies and dramas are obviously spreading the culture of behayai, they are wrong. Plus the way men and women play hudband and wife and hug and kiss eachother onscreen even though they are not on real life, it becomes wrong. Same is the case with music.

I am not blind follower of someone, but the logic which Mr Ghamdi sahab is putting here seems logical and reasonable. There is nothing in Islam which is out of reason and logic. Problem is people have different levels of intellect to understand the commandments and sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAW (pbuh). Some are so dumb that they can not use their brains on some subjects. They go blind and follow what ever is said like a donkey. Silk was prohibited due to some reason. It was a symbol of wealth and discrimination the rich use to do while appearing in public. It was rare in those times the production of silk, when it was big thing to buy a new set of ordinary fabric or cloths. So RasulAllah prohibited it among the muslims, coz it gave rise to arrogance and superiority among the people, so were the rings and jewellery, gold and pearls. In the same way now since times have changed, silk is no more the symbol of luxury and wealth, we have new things nowadays. Like having expensive Cars, jets, world expensive watches, Expensive hotel stay, expensive phones crafted in jewels, expensive tags, brands products….and everything that is a showoff is as haram as silk. But people are so dumb that, they reject silk but wear millions of dollar apparels and watches etc. Men rejects Gold, but drives in Ferrari, Rolce Royce and private jets, smokes expensive cigars, showoff on social media!! They are as haram as Gold and silk which was made haram back in the days of RasulAllah.

فتنہ دجالون اور جاوید غامدی
احادیث کو حجت مآخذ دین ماننے کے بارے میں دو گروہ ہیں ایک اہل سنت کا جو احادیث رسول کو بھی قرآن کے علاوہ بھی واجب الاتباع وحی مانتے ہیں دوسرا منکرین حدیث کا جو حدیث کو وحی نہیں مانتا بلکہ نبی کے قول کو ایک ذہین نبی انسان کے طور لیتے ہیں جو اس وقت یعنی زمانہ نبوت کے لیئے تھا اب اسکی حثیت تاریخی مواد کی ہے وحی صرف قرآن ہے اب اسی کو سمجھیں اسی سے اعتقادی و عملی راہ نمائی حاصل کریں حدیث کو ایک تاریخی مواد سمجھیں اور کوئی شریعی حکم نہیں لیں گے یہی اصل بنیادی فرق ہے جاوید غامدی جن احادیث کو اپنی کتاب میزان میں نقل کیا ہے وہ صرف یہ بتانے کے لیئے ہے کہ یہ احادیث قران کا بیان و تفسیر ہے جو وحی نہیں بلکہ ذہین انسان کا کلام ہے، جو آجکل کا پڑھا لکھا نوجوان بھی کر سکتا ہے حقیقت میں جاوید غامدی اور مشہور منکرین حدیث غلام احمد پرویز دجالون میں صرف لفظی فرق ہے اصل میں دونوں ایک ہی ہیں پرویز دلیر آدمی تھا کھل کر حجت حدیث کی انکاری کرتا تھا غامدی بزدل ہے چکمہ دیتا ہے مکر جاتا ہے کفر کے فتوے سے بچنے کے لیئے۔ ہر وہ حدیث جس میں نبی اکرم نے اپنے بعد کے حالات و واقعات اور فتن کو بیان کیا ہے اس کو پر زور انکار کرتا ہے۔کیونکہ ان احادیث کا کھلا تعلق وحی خفی سے ہے۔ لہذا دونوں دجالون و کذابون میں سے ہیں کیونکہ، سورہ کہف میں انہی کے دجالون کے لیے ہے۔

I said, "If there is neither a group of Muslims nor an Imam (ruler)?" He said, "Then turn away from all those sects even if you were to bite (eat) the roots of a tree till death overtakes you while you are in that state."

اسلئیے سمجھ نہیں آ رہی کے غامدی صاحب واضح بات کو اپنی چرب زبانی سے مبہم بنانا چاہتا ہے، موسیقی زنا شراب شیطان کے کھلے ہتھکنڈے ہیں، ان پر جو مضبوط تالا رسول اکرم نے لگایا تھا یہ اسے ڈھیلا کرنے کی کوشش میں ہے، غامدی سابقہ فتنوں کی طرح اسلام کی ان محکم اصلاحات پر ضرب لگاتا ہے کہ عام ناظر گمراہ ہو جاتا ہے کہ گویا یہ بات آج اسے جو سمجھ آئی ہے وہ نہ کسی صحابی رسول اکرم کو نہ کسی امام اور محدثین کو یوں سمجھ آئی تھی
اسے سے پہلے یہ حضرت عیسٰی علیہ السلام کے آنے سے انکار کا دعویٰ کر چکا ہے جو احادیث سے واضح ہے،
ناظرین کو فتنہ قادیانیت یاد رہنا چاہیے وہ بھی پہلے یونہی بڑا عالم بنا پھرتا تھا مناظرے کیا کرتا تھا

ترجمہ: رسول جو کچھ تمہیں دیں، اس کو لے لو، اور جس چیز سے روکیں اس سے باز رہو۔
غامدی نہ صرف منکرِ حدیث ہے بلکہ اسلام کے متوازی ایک الگ مذہب کا علمبردار ہے ۔ یہ شخص اپنی چرب زبانی کے ذریعے اس فتنے کو خوب پھیلا رہا ہے اور اس مقصد کے لیئے امرہکی ایجنسی سی آئی اے کی مدد سے اُس کو پاکستانی الیکٹرانک میڈیا کی پوری توجہ و سرپرستی بھی حاصل ہے۔
غامدی کے منکر ِحدیث ہونے کے کئی وجوہات ہیں ۔ وہ اپنے من گھڑت اُصولِ حدیث رکھتا ہے ۔ حدیث و سنت کی اصطلاحات کی معنوی تحریف کرتا ہے اور ہزاروں اَحادیث ِصحیحہ کی حجیت کا انکار کرتا ہے آسان الفاظ میں یوں سمجھیں کہ وہ صحیح حدیثِ رسول ﷺ کو بھی دین اسلام میں دلیل تسلیم نہیں کرتا۔

رمایا کہ کچھ لوگ ہوں گے جو میرے طریقے کے خلاف چلیں گے ‘ ان کی بعض باتیں اچھی ہوں گی لیکن بعض میں تم برائی دیکھو گے ۔ میں نے پوچھا کیا پھر دور خیر کے بعد دور شر آئے گا ؟ فرمایا کہ ہاں جہنم کی طرف سے بلانے والے دوزخ کے دروازوں پر کھڑے ہوں گے ‘ جو ان کی بات مان لے گا وہ اس میں انہیں جھٹک دیں گے ۔ میں نے کہا یا رسول اللہ ! ان کی کچھ صفت بیان کیجئے ۔ فرمایا کہ وہ ہمارے ہی جیسے ہوں گے اور ہماری ہی زبان عربی بولیں گے ۔ میں نے پوچھا پھر اگر میں نے وہ زمانہ پایا تو آپ مجھے ان کے بارے میں کیا حکم دیتے ہیں ؟ فرمایا کہ مسلمانوں کی جماعت اور ان کے امام کے ساتھ رہنا ۔ میں نے کہا کہ اگر مسلمانوں کی جماعت نہ ہو اور نہ ان کا کوئی امام ہو ؟ فرمایا کہ پھر ان تمام لوگوں سے الگ ہو کر خواہ تمہیں جنگل میں جا کر درختوں کی جڑیں چبانی پڑیں یہاں تک کہ اسی حالت میں تمہاری موت آ جائے ۔

اس آیت کی تفسیر میں امام محمد بن جریر الطبریؒ (المتوفی 310 ھ) نے اپنی تفسیر (جامع البيان ) میں
سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کا تفسیری قول نقل فرمایا ہے:
عن أبي الصهباء البكري أنه سمع عبد الله بن مسعود وهو يسأل عن هذه الآية: (وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِى لَهْوَ الحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللهِ بغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ) فقال عبد الله: الغناء، والذي لا إله إلا هو، يردّدها ثلاث مرّات
یعنی سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے (ومن النّاس من یّشتری لھو الحدیث)کے بارے میں تین مرتبہ قسم کھا کر کہا کہ لہو الحدیث سے مراد گانا بجانا ہے۔

آپ یا وہ تمام لوگ جو اپنا فہم کا ورد کرتے ہوئے مسئلہ کچھ سے کچھ کر دیتے ہیں ایسا کرنے کا آپ او باقی سب کو کس نے حق دیا ہے اپنا فہم بیان کریں؟جب قرآن و سنت کی بات کرتے ہیں نہ تو قرآن و سنت میں جن امور کی وضاحت آئی ہے اور جن کی نہی آئی ہمیں انہیں تک رہنے دیں۔ اللہ سبحان وتعالی نے نبی ﷺ کے ذریعے دین کو مکمل ہم تک پہچا دیا جو مسئلہ جتنا بیان ہوا ہے اتنا ہی رہنے دیں اپنا فہم بیان کر لے لوگوں کو گمراہ نہ کریں
فہم سے عاری ہو کر آپ کیسے کسی بھی طرح سے دین پہ عمل کر سکتے ہیں۔ فہم سے معذور افراد پہ شرعی احکام بھی لاگو نہیں ہوتے۔

معذرت کے ساتھ غامدی صاحب، اپنی مرضی کے اصول قائم کر رکھے ہیں آپ نے جدھر چاہتے ہیں جیسا مطلب نکالنا چاہتے ہیں وہاں اس کے لیے اصول پیدا کر لیتے ہیں کیا بات ہے! سب سے پہلے تو آپ کا ترجمہ ہی درست نہیں ہے۔ حر کا معنی ہی عربی میں زنا کے لیے استعمال کی جانے والی شرمگاہ ہے۔ اسی طرح معاذف کا معنی آلاتِ موسیقی ہیں۔ اور حدیث میں چاروں چیزیں جو بیان ہوئی ہیں صحابہ جب ان کے بارے میں سنتے تھے تو کیا سوچتے تھے ظاہر ہے یہی سوچتے تھے کہ انھوں نے ان کے قریب نہیں جانا، یہاں بات کامن سینس کی ہے نہ کہ مشروط اور مطلق کی۔ اور جہاں تک ریشم کی بات ہے تو یہ ظاہر ہی ہے کہ ریشم مرد پر حرام کی گئی ہے اسے ہی حلال کر لیں گے وہ لوگ ۔ آپ نے اپنی مرضی سے سب الفاظ کو مشروط قرار دے دیا اور پھر آپ خود ہی آگے چل کر خمر کی حرمت کو مشروط نہیں کہ سکتے تو آپ نے وہاں مطلقا حرام کا معنی لے لیا جب کہ حدیث ایسی ہے کہ عام آدمی بھی سمجھ سکتا ہے کہ کیا بات ہو رہی ہے آپ نے اپنی مرضی کا مطلب لینے کے لیے مرضی کے اصول لگا کر مرضی کا مطلب نکال لیا۔ کیا ہی بات ہے!
اللہُ تعالی غامدی صاحب کو اپنی حفاظت میں رکھے،

He repeatedly gives references of detailed essays by Arab scholars, even mentioning which ones are translated in other languages and which of them are not. I would urge you to not spread misinformation just because you disagree with some one's opinions. Calling someone jahil to reject their interpretation only comes back at you. It would be better to provide proper references of your own (in Arabic as I presume you must be very fluent) or other languages, to counter said points.

I am very surprised that a scholar of this level tries to give that superficial explanation. I have not heard to my knowledge that even any ordinary Muslim from any sect or any scholar has tried to forbid silk for women( reason is that it is mentioned else where that silk is clearly forbidden only for men).And JAG spent about 5 minutes to explain the meaning of making halal of private parts. ALL translations available of this hadith has already done the same job by translating this as zina. All his effort is to prove his opinion that music is halal. For sake of argument even if we agree that he is right and only music with fawahish is Haram. I invite everyone to name few songs which avoid seduction, man to woman romance ( obviously not husband and wife), praising the body of a woman or exaggerating the level of love( falsely).
JAG did not explain that why music and silk have been mentioned with alcohol and zina are clearly forbidden in Quran. The answer is to show the their negative importance.
We believe that what our Prophet gives us we should take it and we should refrain from what Prophet SAW stops us.

But see thats the problem, MUSIC term itself is too diverse that saying musical instrument of any kind is prohibited sounds impractical, however i do feel that Ghamidi Sb does become too liberal on some matters. talking about what u said about romantic songs, why are they prohibited? like u have a song infront of u now u can use it to flirt with a na mehram or dedicate it to praise your wife? how is it haram in latter case?
These people promote music and the rest of the illiterate would think it’s halal ( No they won’t care about bad lyrics music, or the one that promotes shirk) the scholar says it’s halal and these illiterate will take it as hilal. Tuj ma rab dekta ha yara ma kya kro, haseeno ko aatien ha kya kya bahane khuda b na jane tu hum kese jane, Astagferullah, these lyrics promote shirk obviously and today’s time all song promote sexuality, shirk etc so it’s haram.

محترم غامدی نے بخاری کی مشہور حدیث کے مطابق یہ کہا کہ: "قیامت سے نزدیک لوگ موسقی، ریشم، زنا اور شراب حلال کرلیں گے"۔ جبکہ رسول کریم نے یہ فرمایا (یَسْپَلُكَ النَّاسُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ قُلْ اِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَمَا يُدْرٖيكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ تَكُونُ قَرٖيبًا۔ 33/63) غامدی صاحب کیا بخاری رسول کریم سے بہتر اور باری تعالٰی کی طرح علم غیب رکھتا تھا؟ - کیا ایسا کہنا بخاری کو رسول سے "برتر" باری تعالٰی کے "برابر اَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ" کا درجہ دینا "شرک" نہیں؟ آپ عمر کے آخری حصے میں ہیں، مشرک کیلئے جنت حرام فرما دی ھے 5/72) - آپ تو شرک کا پرچار کر رھے ہیں؟
