- In this video we look at a low cost-to-build Enduro EBike.
What's nice about this bike is that it has front and rear signals, front light, rear light + brake light, horn, 4 piston hydraulic brakes with cutoffs, motorcycle tires and wheels, a powerful 3KW motor, 72V60A (4200W) controller and 72V 38AH battery, which are all very decent specs, and it still is super economical to build.

I'm building a similar Ebike.
with exactly the same frame.
Bought everything separate.
I'll also build the 84v battery pack out of scooter batteries.
But i bought them much cheaper.
Fox rear air suspension & good tektro hydraulic brakes & real carbon fibre panels & more.
Believe it or not
Repairing salvaging & buying pre-owned parts will save a lot of money.
Altogether only cost me £360 for everything.
can you link to everything that you bought?
That's amazing ! Nicely done!!
Where did you get the same batteries for cheaper
How has the frame held up over time
Finally one real peltier refrigeration video , the fake ones usually put the probe on cold heat sink and show us the temperature of cold sink instead of the air inside .
I'm still waiting for 16S BMS that can be series connected for a 96-volt system before I even consider an e-bike build or one off the shelf. My home solar is based on a 48-volt system so it just makes sense for everything to be compatible. That's why my Ford Ranger runs on 144 volts (48*3). The BMS are only connected when the truck is not in use. It's inconvenient but I wanted to prove my point.
the 5000 watt only with the accelerator is fine for climbs and is it true that 5000 watts is the peak power and the nominal continuous power is around 2500 3000 in maximum pas mode? I hope you will answer me and don't leave me years and years in waiting for a reply thanks.
tutorial on how you put the 6 36v scooter batteries together, currently have dual 36v 10s scooter batteries in series for a 72v setup.
Nice build, so what was the final amount?
In $Canadian, about
Frame $500
Fork $500
Shock $180
Front Wheel $150
Rubber $100 each side
Battery $660 (see other video)
Controller Setup $350
Rear Wheel/motor $550
Brakes $150
Lights $150
Handlebars / Stem $50
Freewheel $20
Chain $10
Like $3200ish CAD or $2360ish USD
Hey could you give me the name of the Frame the link isnt working anymore. Also could I use everything from my mountain bike for this build like wheels, front wheel frok, brakes etc. ?
Hey there we have the frames available at

Nice build 👍👍⚡⚡
Thank you!
saving up for one right now, i know theres only 3 left so hopefully i beat the spring rush, thing looks awesome. do you happen to know the total weight of the bike?
About 120ish pounds , they are sweet ! Thanks for the kind words ! Hope you can get one :)
Dont, its a waste of money, get a surron.
I’m a commuter I don’t need torque.
Remember people live different lives, be curious rather than judgemental
Surron is definitely the better off road machine, these are the better on-road machine. Totally silent with law abiding functional pedals. A Surron battery upgrade of equivalent capacity (72V50AH) is more than the cost of this whole bike. We have 2 Surrons , they are wicked off road machines without any doubt. But they're a dirt bike, not an electric bicycle, you're WAY more likely to be fined riding a Surron on the road.
Is that a 19 21 wheel set up? Is it worth doing? What's the benefits?
Mine is being built today & I'm thinking of having 19" rear wheel
18 rear and 21 front. 18 rear gives you twice as many tire options
@ElectricBikeLaboratory I'm definitely having 19 21 but have no idea about tyres sizes.
Iv seen f80/100 r90/100 & like widths but don't know if I should have a higher rear wall with smaller rear
nice i have the same bike basically its soo nice to ride !
Nice!!
What’s the top speed and range ? What is the cost of the bike ?
About 80km/hr and 80-100km range, cost about $2500-$3000CAD
@@ElectricBikeLaboratory how much do you charge for a battery pack like that
We're starting to run low on these but we are building them at $175 CAD per 36V12.8ah pack used
Hey I messed up my rear wheel and was wondering if you had any idea where to get another one
Can you limit the watt power through the bikes display too? Where I live there is a 250watt 15.5mph restriction to use on public roads but no limit on private property/ off roads? Want to build one myself but need something I can adjust as and when needed :)
You can limit the max current down to half of the maximum current and you can set the speed limit to whatever you'd like on the display
how much would it cost total roughly
Sweet bike! Have you used those scooter battery packs before? Wondering how they hold up over time.
Thank you! Appreciate your comment!!
Full disclosure of course we do sell the scooter packs but they're also sold by BatteryClearingHouse and JAG35 so there are other places to get them, but I find that they work really well! They're super compact, they're a honeycomb design which really compacts them together. The cells themselves are very solid, not crazy good but when the pack is built enough to enough amp-hours it makes for a really solid pack. We're getting like 80km of pretty hard riding on a charge and if you ride it in assist that number can really go up.
LG MH1 Cells are sort of at the cross section between capacity / performance / price. They're rated at 10A continuous discharge and 3180mah. They will have quite a big of sag at 10A current draw though. This pack is pulling about 5A from each cell max (60A). The bike can still go 75km/hr! Which is already twice the legal limit of an EBike, but the display easily allows you to set the speed limit to any speed including legal limits.
Nice bike. Where can i get the same light kit as you?
Email me affordableebikes@gmail.com
Where did you hide your main contacter
Biggest problem I have is fitting all electronics with the batteries
I have a main contactor and a pre-charge contactor
We have a circuit breaker directly on the battery pack
@@ElectricBikeLaboratory I do too but the problem is is the inverter every time it starts up it takes a 400 amp inrush which shuts off my 220 amp Bms for a second so you just wire your battery right to your controller
If you have a Bluetooth BMS you should be able to program the allowable in rush current
Also, I can’t seem to get the links to load. Maybe it’s just a me problem but figured I’d mention it! How much did the bike cost in total? Wondering just how affordable a stealth bomber can really be. I almost went that route for my AWD e-bike but saw a bunch of reviews from people saying their frames cracked
Hey I just checked and they seem to work on Desktop, I changed the frame link to the Alibaba link.
I think we have around $2500 - $3000 CAD into this bike which is really not bad for the specs! If you can find a fork off Ebay that helps a lot as the forks can be hard to get at a reasonable price.
@@ElectricBikeLaboratory It was a me issue! I tried a different browser on the desktop and was able to get it to load. That is super reasonable for the performance!
do you think two adults could safely ride on this a short distance at low speed ~20mph
There are better 2 seater options out there, Super73 has some really cool long seat bikes that recently came out that are great for 2 seater
What nuts did you use for the controller mounting. I can not find that information nowhere,
I believe they are M5 and we used Nyloc nuts . We also 3D Printed a bracket that goes to the frame, and then a screws hold the controller to the bracket. If you have this same frame email and are using the same controller email us for the file
curious how this frame is with rider heights? Think 6'2 would be alright?
You're a bit tall but small mods and it can work, I'm 5ft 11
Hey! I really want one. Where are you located
Hey there! We're located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
How do you adjust those zoom brakes so that they fit into the discs ?
Sorry what do you mean ?
CAN 2 PEOPLE RIDE IT ? COUSE IAM THINKING OF MAKING ONE FOR MY SELFE
Yes 2 people can ride but it's a bit tight , you might want to consider building a custom seat using a motorcycle saddle (cafe racer saddle is a good search term)
What is the size of the wheels
18/21 motorcycle wheels
How many miles can you do on one charge?
This setup seemed to be good for 80km aggressive riding and 150km more leisurely riding
Is it possible to customize these to ride 2 people ??
Usually a custom seat is the best way to handle 2 people. It's a fair bit of work but there are mass produced motorcycle seats if you type cafe racer seat on ebay
Where you buy the fender
Front is Talaria MX3 and rear is a fairly generic one we got from Changzhou Domain Import and Export Co Ltd (Alibaba)
Might you sell these built?
I do but not a lot of them. We're in Hamilton, ON Canada
Do you sell these?
Yes
light link does not work
AliExpress you can type Bafang Turn Signal Kit
Links aren't working
We have most parts on our site www.Affordableebikes.ca
@@ElectricBikeLaboratoryyeah there’s no phone number you seem like if I went over specs you could prob point me in a good direction.
