I felt so bad for him. He lost everything to keep the flame at bay.
Dude that’s such a cold cutscene. Kinda disappointed that his head wasn’t the crossguard lol.
I'm downloading a mod just for that one. Imagine it still writhed in pain, still alive.
Probably exploded to bits when all the tendrils moved
This honestly has to be the most brutal cutscene in all of ER. Even if we don’t get to see it, you can absolutely imagine just based off the sounds from 0:27
you cant even see it in the game? i thought they just couldnt show it on yt
@@punchprivateit cuts to black in game, same thing happens when messmer pulls out his eye.
Finally someone showed it, I've been excited about it ever since the trailer came out
The fact that he has a higher health pool than even Promised Consort Radahn, shows that he finally let go and became the Lord of Chaos. Weird how this one random guy, in the middle of some nightmare fuel woods, has the potential to end all life as we know it.
MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD!
If I can’t save the lands between from your failure Marika, then let the Lands Burn
@@Robert-cl2ftlet the sea boil, let the stars fall
@@HopelessReminder so let it be war, from the Seas of Limgrave to the Tops of Mt Gelmir
I'd question how pulling that sword out doesn't just shred the entirety of his body to ribbons, but given that the boss fight has his head replaced by an orb of chaotic flame (on top of how having a *sword* impaled through his body should have killed him anyway) I feel like it'd be nitpicking.
Most likely what happened is that the protruding spikes bent inwards as he was pulling the sword out.
All I see is a reoccurring trend of frenzy flame warping and twisted the beings it touches
Best boss in the DLC.
I'm torn between Midra, Metyr, and Bayle. All three were chef's kiss.
welcome back father gascoigne 🙏
So Midra lord of Frenzied is the result if we also took in the flame as he and many other failed to become the Frenzied lord and become overtaken
More like, Midra wasn't powerful enough to become a Lord back then. But our Tarnished is, obviously.
Midra himself is a weak vessel that’s why he failed to become the lord of frenzy flame, after he rips his head off he unsealed himself meaning he let out the true lord of frenzy flame.
@@NLGogeta Same thing happened to our Tarnish
@@nicktanicosilva2582 unlike him we’re not a failed vessel why you think the 3 fingers accepts us and burns our body ? We’re not weak like Midra
@@NLGogeta I dunno man our head became something else that might not be us anymore
Zanzibart... Forgive me.
Kind of got the old monk vibes from him when I saw him in the trailer.
i had assumed at first that the act of pulling the sword out straight up ripped his head off of his body, given the nasty watermelon crunching sounds and how you sort of start to see the neck stretch out before it cuts to black. but given the stereotypical "stabbing" sound effect after the initial crunching, i'm now wondering if he just decapitated himself with it afterwards?
I think that stabbing sound was the sound of him planting the sword on the ground. He definitely ripped his head off by pulling that thing out.
so what happens if we took the frenzied flame ending from the original game instead? no effect on the dlc?
No effect. Technically, when you are fighting him, you aren't the lord of frenzy flame yet, as you only become said, Lord, when you inherent the elden ring. Continuing the game after getting an ending, just put you before you got said ending anyway.
This guy is also "the failed lord" so he a bit jealous of our fine frenzied having ass
Here’s a way to look at it, most souls like DLCs involve time travel, in Elden ring’s case it’s simply events that happen before your ascension to lord.
You could look at it like this. You killed the previous lord and now you’re taking up the mantle of Lord of Frenzied Flame.
Same as the base ending if you think about it, when you beat Radagon, you’re beating the previous lord, and then taking up his place, removing the mantle of lordship from him.
So was it Midra in the story trailer holding onto the coiled sword? His floating tetherd clothing match up as well
it doesnt just match up, part of the cutscene is literally taken from the dlc trailer
🔥🔥🔥❤
i hate that they black out the screen when he pulls it out, why not animate the whole thing?
Save money and time
Ewwwww
Very good headache remedy 👍🏻👍🏻
