- An attempt to finish strong and pick up my pace even more as NaNoWriMo comes to a close, while also writing an outline for my fourth dissertation chapter. Taking on this challenge while dissertating might have been a little crazy, but I'm glad I did it!

As you can tell from the 5 full minutes of darkness at the end, I am still figuring out how to edit vidoes lol
Hope you write a very good novel
How do you organize your PhD notes from readings you’ve done? I saw synopses? Was that just in word?
I have a few different notes documents I rely on! About four years ago when I settled on a dissertation topic, I started writing up annotations for everything I read that seemed relevant. After I read something, I would write a short summary, then a breakdown of what parts of the text were most interesting to me and any other texts I might be able to connect it to. I put all those annotations into one of three documents for literary, historical, or critical texts - those documents are just in word, yes, but in online word documents so I never lose them!
Then about two years ago when I was preparing for my qualifying exam I started another notes document, where I typed up sections of notes based on subtopics. That document has sections for things like just "banquets," and then under that section I write up notes on all the literary, historical, and critical texts I've read relating to banquets. I drew from my annotations a lot when making those notes!
I find that I need to do a lot of organizing and annotating like this because I don't have a very good memory haha but this is just what works for me! I do really recommend just an ongoing notes document of some kind, though, it's really nice to have a lot of information all in one place.
Hey your video's last 4 minute is blind
