he didnt say, but the big crystal that acts as a sun, Beledar? It goes in to shadowy voidy purple and the whole zone changes every 3 hours or so. Its like a void weather effect. NPCs run for cover, some quests change, new rares appear and the music goes wild. It rocks.
Step 1: Make toxic game mechanics that reward players for being toxic Step 2: Make the game single player so players can avoid playing the game Step 3: Raise the price of the expansion and increase the frequency of purchase Step 4: Profit!
The biggest problem with WoW was always the community. Obviously even Blizzard knows that since they've made it even more single player friendly. I've not played any other MMO (and I've played most of them) where the toxicity is so prevalent.
The issue is the systems that cause it. Losing key levels causes it, item levels, DPS meters, etc. I'm wanting to start a guild friendly for new players specifically for those who are afraid to raid outside of LFR or do mythic dungeons for this reason.
@@kennyloh7519 It isn't - there's a lot of people who have quit WoW that unfortunately really dislike that people are still enjoying it. Now is a fantastic time to jump in!

I am sure a lot of people will whine about follower dungeons being against the whole point of the game, but the points of this video are absolutely the best way to look at it. You can fully experience the dungeons and enjoy them, and play your own way without other players telling you how you're allowed to play a game you pay for... I hate when I take a while to get to max level because I work a LOT and my play style is that I like to explore and see everything, so when I'm finally doing dungeons and raids everyone else has already found the optimal routes to skip as much of the content as possible to burn through the dungeon and re-queue quickly. Which leads to me not even seeing half the dungeon as I'm in the cycle of target, rotation, CC, loot, run to catch up with party, repeat. Follower dungeons are an absolute godsend. For my tank spec toons, I can run through the follower dungeons over and over until I've got every pull, every boss and every mechanic down so when I queue for real I actually know what the hell I'm doing. The loot seems to have a *greatly* reduced drop rate in follower dungeons (at least the DF ones - I won't have TWW until Monday) where I have done 3 in a row and only had one piece of gear drop from a boss, where I'll do the same ones in a pug of real players and walk away with 4-5 pieces. So it's really just for players to practice and get familiar and comfortable with content, and to not have to miss out if real life keeps them from being able to log on during peak hours to queue for dungeons. It doesn't turn WoW into a single player game, and I really don't think you'll be able to use it to gear up for harder content totally solo, but you will at least know the content when you're pugging it or running with your guild to gear up for the tougher versions.
Personally, I'm really enjoying this expansion. Maybe it's the 20th anniversary, but I've a long list of things that I want to do, and it's going to take ages to do it. Right now, I'm focused on getting all the T2 updated sets. After that, it will be back to mount collecting, leveling my warband (Pally, Druid, Hunter and Priest). I haven't been this active since Legion, so good job Blizzard.

Solo features is a great way to ease players back into the experience. My only hope is that they do give some incentive to raid and push keys beyond gratification though. From what I've heard, there are a lot of people leaving the raiding scene since its not really necessary and it wasn't an overly big population of the community to begin with.
The greatest incentive for raiding should be the challenge and the rewards. These have not changed. They are still heads and shoulders above what soloers can get by doing follower content and story raids. Now people leaving the raiding scene when the content opens up and they no longer have the elitist monopoly of gatekeeping content says more about them than about the game.

It's really good right now. They added ranked solo arena and bg queues for those who don't want to take the time to find teammates (you play against other solo players).
