This was really helpful, the “hold background with 2 fingers and post with 1” has only worked once for me, maybe I’m doing it wrong, I don’t know, but this is easier
On iphone, if you share a feed post to your stories you'll see a round color circle at the top of the screen, that will select your gradient background color. Or, alternativel press the 3 dots (top right) go to Draw, select any color and long press to fill the background a solid color. If you're on Android, I don't think it's possible to select a color background (I'm an android user 🥲)
@@JamesDel thank you for the reply. Hmm 🤔I am on an iPhone user. From my feed, when I select share post to story there's no round color circle a the top of the screen. When I press the 3 dots and go to draw to select a color and long press to fill the background, it covers the feed post completely and I cannot get it to show again. I suspect there's no option to change the background color when sharing a video feed post. If you discover any solution, please do share. Thanks again!
That's similar to the issue I have when trying to do it from my Android phone. But on my wife's iPhone we can change the background color without issues. Is your Instagram app running the latest update? I'm gonna investigate more, keep an eye for a video in the near future! 🤓
I'm using a Google Pixel device and I have no way of changing the background of a story (when it's a Video Feed Post). But my wife has an iPhone and she is able to make the background whatever solid color she wants. It's kind of up in the air at the moment, hopefully Instagram makes it available to everyone soon.
