Try listening to the Spanish singer Raphael, big in the '60s and '70s. The "go oonnn" makes me think of his voice. Try "Balada de la trompeta" or "Yo soy aquel." You might like them!

You should definitely watch it. I'd say, if anything, this song just creates more questions if you haven't seen the movie. It's probably the best in the movie, but it somehow manages not to spoil anything.

That is why there are many Colombian families that are Afro-Latinx, instead of being only white Spaniards. Same goes for Caribbean families like mine.

His voice gets deep and weird, but I always took that as character work choice because he shaped shifted. The line "here" comes out as he changes into Mariano, so he changes his voice as he sings the line

Yes, Yes , Yes watch the movie. The voices were all recorded during everyone’s lockdowns so it was done all over the internet in some of the actors countries. The actress who plays the grandma recorded in Columbia in South America and it wasn’t until the premiere of the movie that some of the actors met each other. 🤯🤯

The lady that started the song (wedding lady) she controls weather so when Bruno says "it looks like rain" it "floods my(weather lady) brain" and then there was a hurricane!
The second lady can hear almost everything so she's whispering!
The next guy is a shapeshifter so gives a visual about Bruno!
Bruno was gifted with prophecies so what he says is actually eventually gonna happen, but Bruno gets the blame for everything bad that happens!

I've heard that this was the first animated movie to feature every hair type/texture from 1a to 4c. They invented a whole new way of doing CGI hair so they could do everybody in this big mixed family justice.
Bruno is the black sheep of the family - he's the one who gets blamed for everything that goes wrong. He's the main character's uncle, and she was just 5 when he disappeared and the family completely stopped talking about him.

I'm not much of an animated movie fan but I had to watch this with my 6 year old granddaughter. It's extremely well done and to my surprise was quite enjoyable!
one thing i’m proud of is how we come in all colors , shapes n sizes and they put that in the movie bc hispanics are all different kinds of things since ofc it isn’t a race .. and there are a lot of young hispanics or latinos who feel out of place for either being more pale or being a poc now they united everyone 🥰

You wont be able to figure out what the movie is about from this clip, it happens like half way through the movie. Honestly while it's blowing up at the moment, if you haven't seen the movie it was a weird request as it wont make any sense.
Bruno is the uncle in this family let me spoil it all for you. This movie deals with generational trauma and there is no inter racial marriage this movie is set in Colombia. 😅😅😅 watch the movie. Antonio is the most adorable 5 year old animated character to date with Disney.

Bruno is the central character’s uncle… and you will NEVER get this song out of your head! Bruno is lurking in a lot of the song. He appears in the first verse “Bruno walks in with a mischievous grin”.. xxxx🇦🇺🐨🇦🇺🐨❤️ Lin Manuel-Miranda wrote Hamilton, you can hear the similarities.
Please do some of the other songs! Isabella and Luisa songs are amazing, Dos oruguitas, and the miracle is you.

Fashion Alert: It took me long enough, but I finally noticed - The frames of Mirabel's glasses are the same color as Uncle Bruno's Majik. It seems they can both see more than the average person: Bruno sees the future, Mirabel sees what's in peoples' hearts and their emotional needs.
Loved your enthusiasm! You should definitely check out the full thing, besides the stellar animation and music it also has a fantastic story well suited to an adult audience. If you want to check out more songs I only recommend family madrigal for more context on the characters and surface pressure for an introduction to the themes. Other song are spoilery imho

I watched a reaction to one of the songs from someone else right before this. He had dismissed watching the movie outright solely on the basis of it being animated and thus "for kids" and was clueless about the lessons in the songs these days.

BTW the first lady controls the weather with her emotions and him saying there will be rain caused a hurricane pretty much. And the guy even said it was a joyous day. The only person who said anything bad about him was Camilo and he probably didn't really know him. But he knows the future, and they think their fate is sealed when said. This info mostly came from the Family Madrigal song and this one.

2:45 real quick anecdote about the interracial comment. I believe he’s the same type of Latino as his wife. My grandfather is Hispanic but if you knew nothing about heritage and just guess based on skin color he could easily be mistaken for black because his tone is just that dark. I’ve seen a similar phenomenon on others of Latin heritage but one can never make too many assumptions because at some point it’s rude you know.

Hey! I’d recommend reacting to the Spanish version also! It sounds so much better. I have some issues primarily the “fast” part as it sounds so weird in English like they needed to fit all the words in. But in Spanish it flows so nice and fits more with the music style.
That's because Spanish si a very fast language. We can Say Manu sillabes by seconds.

Tio Bruno can fortell the future, but it seems, that for him, it's easier to see "bad" things than the good, and the town (and family) tend to shoot the messenger, so Bruno disappeared. The only one who seems to have come out on the positive side of Bruno's visions is Isabella ( Since she's "perfect", it only figures).
