Great question! I would find another pattern that makes the heart larger. All you would need to do is make a a triangle shape for the bottom of the heart until it is the size you desire. Then for the humps on the top, find the middle, working one hump at a time, decrease the first and last stitch each row until you reach the top of the heart. Then repeat for the second hump.
