I'm amazed how good drum samples sounds these days.
Because they sample using real drums precisely
You can't beat Addictive Drums... 10/10
My favorite also
Keep in mind these are just presets you can literally dig deeper and customise. Ad2 is sick af
Absolutely! :)
Jazz drums are really incredible, awesome)
Literally Everytime I get in ad2 even after years I'm still like wow...
Great sounds, combined w/ flawless & musically stylish performance (as usually by RS); esp. w/ the "Modern Jazz" Kit!
Thanky a lot! :)
drumtecTV are jam series drum pads compatible with alesis dm10??
Addictive drums is so good
i really love the sound that this drummer does
thank you very much!
Tell me about it
Nice sound
Very good!
Awesome playing, very inspiring! Did you have to make any hihat articulation adjustments for the TD-25? My TD-25 with AD2 only acknowledges hihat changes from about 1/4 close and upwards to open, so I'm missing all the subtle hihat sounds between closed and 1/4 open
Have you tried the map window and manually tweaking cc controls? And all the small stuffs?
why are you using midi interface instead of usb in td26? is it any better?
muy bonito
Thanks for all these videos. I think this one was the the best match, the quality was very good. Could you loud is the kit acoustically? Are the toms really quiet or they are as loud as e.g. rubber pads?
No, the mesh pads have the same noise level as our diabolo & pro series, so they are equivalent or maybe a little more quiet than the standard Roland pads. We have a video on our different drum-tec mesh heads here:

Great! Thank you for your reply!
Eveyrtime very nice videos and perfect drumming by Mr. Ralf........always happy to see new videos. By the way, will Drum-Tec sell the Pearl Mimic-Pro Module next year directly at release?
Thank you, very much appreciated :) Yes, as soon as the Pearl Mimic-Pro is available in europe, we will jump on it & check it out here on the channel. We are very curious too...
+drumtecTV sounds very good, thank you.
Hi Robert.....well that sounds very weird. Would be a very bad news if that is what is going to happen. I do NOT understand why the Module should not be released in Europe???? Any answers for that. Maybe Drum-Tec can ask Pearl.....
Yes I hope that PEARL will change their mind......because everything else does not make any sense
its been changed, Pearl confirmed will be available in Europe.
Nice vid! What are the trigger settings for AD2 with this setup?
Hi & thank you! The trigger settings are defined inside of the Roland sound module, which then puts out midi data to the midi/audio interface/DAW/AD2. AD2 comes with mapping presets for Roland sound modules, so the general midi mapping is already appropriate if you use the mapping for your specific module. From there, you have to adjust to personal taste & playing style, there is no general setup file that would work for every situation/kit/drummer. Hope that helps & kind regards!
As far as latency and performance is concerned, is it better to use the TD-25's MIDI-Out and connect it to an audio interface's (such as the Steinberg UR22-MKII) MIDI-In which is then connected to a laptop? Or is it better to use the TD-25's USB-Out and connect it directly to the laptop? Or could using one of those MIDI-to-USB cables (such as the M-Audio Uno) to connect from the TD-25 to the laptop be better? Or will all of the above achieve more or less the same result? I know there are plenty of variables that could come in to play here, but if possible, I would like to get some general advice.
thebenchdweller I think MIDI to USB would be a good idea.
Hi can I ask how did you fix the cymbal choke function? Its not working for me for some reason
heyy buddy sorry to bother, may you tell me what preset are you using for your drums at mapping? because my drums are roland as well but when its time to map, i can map my hi hat to bark it (which is that "tssssuhn" sound the cymbals produce when they are opened and closed)
*SO HOW DO YOU SET IT UPPPPP???*
Would the drum tec jam be able utilize the positional sensing capability of the td 25?
Hey Don, the Jam series is our entry level series with a rim-mounted trigger system. So it won´t support any positional sensing with a Roland TD-25 / 30 / 50, delivers an outstandingly authentic drumming experience nonetheless :) you will have to move up the ladder to the diabolo or pro series for positional sensing. Kind regards!
How do you get your triggering to be so accurate?
Hey Sam, thank you very much! The combination of drum-tec electronic drums & Roland sound module / cymbals deliver best possible triggering results before the midi output, that´s the most important thing. If your kit/system is set up & working/triggering well, it´s basically plug and play with some dynamic finetuning in the software from there. Kind regards!
What model is that clamp that is used to mount the TD-25 to the hihat stand? I need that lol.

@@drumtecTV Thanks!
where can I purchase a drum tech kit like this one? Im from Texas
Hey there, please get in touch with our drum-tec service team directly through info@drum-tec.de for a quote or any product/shipping info! Kind regards
drumtecTV thank you!
Are the AAD sounds loaded into the TD25 or is the laptop part of the process?
The software is running on a laptop/computer & triggered from the sound modules midi output. Kind regards!
HI - does the td-25 module support "positional sensing" with any pads ? Roland told me no ? but it seems like this one does. They told me the only modules that do are the td-30 & td-50
Hi Kevin, omg, someone from Roland told you that??? ;-p TD-25 does support positional sensing on the snare, but only in combination with a mid/side trigger pad. The Jam series pads only have a side trigger, so they do not support positional sensing with any module. You would have to step up to the diabolo series for that. Kind regards!
Hi I was thinking of getting a TD30 module with Diablo pads. would I have positional sensing with everything with Addictive Drums ?? thats the main thing I need to know. I use AD2 and I need to put a package together for myself and I'm confused. I will also get A TD-50 if I have to. But I looked in the Mapping section on AD2 and I did not see a setting for the TD50@@drumtecTV
@@KevinZ2269 TD-30 alsohas positional sensing on snare and even on toms, the diabolo trigger system is 100% Roland compatible & supports postional sensing also. As far as I know, Addictive Drums 2 supports positional sensing only on the snare. You should be able to use a TD-50 also with the TD-30 mapping and maybe some minor adjustments. For any further questions / product support or an individual quote on your personal configuration, please get in touch with our service team through info@drum-tec.de, the guys will gladly assist you :) kind regards!
@@drumtecTV Hi thank you - im sorry 1 more last question. How can I get FULL positional sensing using a program like AD2 ? If I cant out of that, what program should I use ? Is it even possible. ?? thanks
What setting do you set your TD-25 to? My version of AD2 doesn't have it, and the Hi Hat doesn't trigger properly!
Same problem
Do you experience latency when playing VSTs live vs playing direct module sounds?
Hi Mike, if your computer setup has enough CPU & a well working audio driver & audio interface, it is no problem to play at ultra low latencies. Kind regards!
@@drumtecTV Thanks! I am thinking about triggering VSTs while streaming live, so I'll see how it goes. Cheers.
A can't figure out, how to get in AD2 side stick and rim shot in a single settings. Help!!!!! I can tune only side stick or rim shot on the rim.....
You might have to use a separate piece of software to trigger side stick sound for softer hits and rimshot for harder hits.
Roland TD27 is compatible with addictive drums 2?
I have addictive drums 2, and would like to buy the Roland VAD 506.
Thanks!
Best regards,
Hi, Addictive Drums needs to be installed on your computer, you can trigger it from the TD-27s midi output then. Have you checked out the drum-tec Silent Sessions yet:

Kind regards!
@@drumtecTV Perfect, I saw one but not all! thank you very much.
what are the latency time, with the laptop, ca 1ms?
Depends on your computer & audio/midi interface :) With a good system, you can go pretty low with the latency. But the lower you go, the more powerful your computer needs to be. For me, 2-3ms still is absolutely workable!
makes a video to superior drummer 2.3 please !

Your playing is incredible why do jerks like PMTVUK have far more views than you? I don't get this... You deserve more subscribers
Thank you very much!
👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
How did you set it up so that the drums were triggering the right samples?
Hi, Addictive Drums comes with prepared midi mapping presets & midi learn functions. Kind regards!
drumtecTV any idea what midi mapping to choose for the Roland td-17kv?? It doesn’t offer that one as an option on AD.
@@laroshi8497 But it offers Roland v-drums or any Roland TD module mapping doesn't it?
We are struggling heavily. I can't for the life of me get the velocity of the snare to sound right. I've tried adjusting every velocity knob in AD2. As well as the midi map window. Machine Gun snare is all we get. Cant find info any where on this. Any chance you can help? Thanks!!
What pads & module do you use? It´s important to get all dynamics/functions/trigger settings right for your playing style inside of the module before editing anything in the external software. If it comes out of your module correctly, most of the midi triggering will be plug and play when setting up the appropriate midi mapping for your module in software in my experience. Kind regards!
@@drumtecTV Thanks for the help! Using a Roland TD17. The problem is when playing just with the module it all sounds correct. Adjusted the pad sensitivity and trigger settings there. Main issue I can't get past is the velocity curve in AD2. In the midi map window I've pulled down the curve all the way and quiet notes are still really loud which in turns gives this machine gun type snare as opposed to ghost notes. I know there's many variables at play, but any idea what to check out next? Anything is helpful thanks!
@@jessedunham5901 Are you using the correct mapping preset for a Roland sound module in AD? I can´t remember ever having to change any velocity settings in the software. The only thing that needed some further adjustments in some cases was the hihat open/close finetuning, but apart from this I am using the softwares almost "plug and playish" with the correct dynamics coming from the module & using an appropriate mapping preset. If you are running AD as a plugin in logic for example, you can in-/decrease the overall velocity for your AD midi channel as well. Or have you tried lowering the snare pad sensitivity in your module a little alternatively? Kind regards & hope it works out somehow!
@@jessedunham5901 Did you get it to work. I have THE EXACT, SAME PROBLEM. The velocities are super low and it sounds like a machine gun, don't understand why it's so low.
@@NemoCee Ah no I wish. It drove me insane for months. So many people have this issue and I can't find a fix. We ended up just doing drum replacement with midi to get it to work, but obviously this is not ideal. Let me know if you ever find a work around! Its extra frustrating that plenty of people seem to not even experience this problem...
I hope I can buy this in Hong Kong .
How much this precious?

can i used the sound of AD 2 to live perform?
i hope u can answer
Hi Ricky, yes you can generally speaking, but you'll need a stable system & enough CPU power/RAM for low latency monitoring. Apart from that, you'd have to bring a laptop & audio interface to stage, which I personally wouldn't want to do. For studio work & rehearsing it's a great setup though. Kind regards!
thank u
How much teasing does your drummer get because of his name?
Fortunately not as much as in the past, when the "other" Schumachers where still active in formula 1 ;-D kind regards!
this is a position sensing brain i think way more dynamic artics than my yam dtx 502 which im sick of, i have all the vsts just need the right affordable kit and module now
Hi, you could also consider the new Roland TD-27, which has positional sensing too & is compatible with the new Roland digital pads, which makes it an outstanding module for using external sample libraries, as it has all the main features from the TD-50. So you could basically run the same setup as here, just with an TD-27 instead of TD-50 module:

2box demo ?
no, the sounds were from Addictive drums 2
Hello
How about latency?
Depends on your cpu/ram/audio&midi interface, if all works well you can play without any noticeable latency without any problems. Kind regards!
