I've spent 95 hours on Redout 1 getting all platinum medals there and it was really fun. I'll try this game out anyway even though the reviews are a lot worse
Please do, if you completed that mutch we think you will like it, just hope it wont have the tech difficulties we had.
This game could be so much more than it is if it had proper multiplayer

iirc the devs recently got full ownership of the game back I wanna say sometime last week?
As a keyboard player, the assist options are not only a must but a huge help! i got it for free this week, and its so fun.
I had some fun with the 1st game, gonna see how the 2nd is gonna make me feel too. About the season mode, looks like they abandoned the game too, very unfortunate indeed. Thanks for the review guys!!
The first game is very interesting, good, and fun. Will the second game be the same? In my opinion, yes.. But let's just wait for the game, and try it straight away. 😁

It's basically an updated and better sequel that is similar to the original Redout racing game. Which was, in turn, basically an upgraded spiritual successor to F-Zero. Not necessarily a bad thing... in fact, I kinda like it. But if you don't enjoy games like F-Zero or Redout 1, then you probably shouldn't get Redout 2.

Its been more then 1 year from last update so I think they abandon the game and fix for optimization and everything else will never come.
They literally just released an update today....

@@mrdrice96 Actually. The developers lost the rights to the game for a while. They recently got the rights back and can update the game finally.
@mrdrice96 so I learned through asking. Saber interactive tried to hold the rights of the game from the OG developer. The lawsuit was an effort to gain the rights to the game back. Massive W
reminds me of Wipeout 2048 on my psvita still runs very good.
Redout 2 is just a carbon copy of a game called Wipeout from the 90s on the OG playstation

4:37 Yes, this game is VERY MUCH dependent on modern hardware. You NEED a big beefy new-generation graphics card, AND a big beefy RAM like 32 GB DDR-6, AND it needs to be installed on a big beefy (and FAST) SSD not a regular HDD hard drive. You need a REALLY GOOD gaming PC to get the best experience with this game. Maybe not quite top shelf, but definitely the top three shelves. Anything less and you'll see choppy graphics and some lag. If your PC can efficiently run games like "Starfield" and "Hogwarts Legacy" at HIGH or ULTRA graphics mode, then you should be okay with this game. But yes, it is specifically tweaked for high-end systems not for potato PCs.
Kinda shocked you guys gave this a pass, one of the best games given for free on EGS imo.
First one we definitly recommend! But no split screen, poor optimalization (new patch been released, so hope it runs better now) and dropped ideas half-way through developement killed it for us.
LMAO "Render quality from 100% to 10%" and using integrated graphics... like helllooooo? I remember my first computer.. lolol
Well, worked better for us, you can see it when we streamd it live and played with the settings :-)
Game got patched yesterday runs better and a bunch of things were fixed
