  • Manila, Philippines-born Jose Paman has practiced and taught Ngo Cho kung-fu for over 30 years and holds advanced instructor degrees in arnis, karate and jiu-jitsu. The dynamic art of Ngo Cho kung-fu features the vital elements of five ancestral systems, incorporating the footwork of lo han (Buddhist monk boxing), the hand techniques of pe ho (white crane), leg techniques of tai cho (grand ancestor kung-fu), evasive techniques and palm strikes of che tian ta sien (monkey style) and iron body training of fat chun (the Bodhidharma method).
A sister style of Fujian origins Ngo Cho Kung Fu shares some similarities to Uechi-ryu and Goju-ryu Karate.
"The Ngo Cho Kung-Fu method depicted derives from the teachings of two masters: Siensi Co Chi Po, originally from the Kong Han school in Manila's Chinatown, who branched off and taught at the Tong Hong Eastern Athletic Association. The second master Siensi Dee Se Giok, an immigrant to the Philippines from Taiwan, taught a version of ngo cho that emphasized the monkey boxing aspects of the art. Please direct inquiries to: J. Paman - P.O. Box 352, North Highlands, CA 95660 or via e-mail at britonqc@aol.com"

Sifu, i like your internal chi flow with the external movement.
I see that in the first form you have a movement who looks like cutting down, or is it a wave movement ???

Just found this on my algorithm after watching Monkey Steals Peach and his Hong Kong tour. Sam Bo Jin of Chow Gar mantis was his latest episode preceded by Southern Dragon and Pak Mei. The sets here are the perfect compliment for viewers of Hakka and Fujian Kuen. Chow Gar is a perfect combination with Uechi ryu, Goju ryu, Wing Chun and even Isshin ryu as well as plethora of southern Lohan. Arohanui and Kia ora from New Zealand.

Thank you! Jose Paman is a brilliant practitioner/teacher of the art. It is a sister art to Uechi-ryu and Goju-ryu. They all come from the same area of South China, from roughly the same time in history.

Five Ancestor Boxing (Wuzuquan or Ngo-cho Kun) is a Southern Chinese martial art that consists of principles and techniques from five styles:
the breathing methods and iron body of Bodhidharma (達尊拳)
the posture and dynamic power of Luohan (羅漢拳)
the precision and efficient movement of Emperor Taizu (太祖拳)
the hand techniques and the complementary softness and hardness of Fujian White Crane (白鶴拳)[
the agility and footwork of Monkey (猴拳)[5]

@@varanid9”incense shop” is a style of boxing. I have seen practitioners of the style demonstrating outdoors on RUclips. I am not sure why they call it that. Perhaps it was developed by martial artists in the back rooms of some incense shop. But, there are videos of it.
