The Kimpton Hotel Theta, an IHG Hotel in the theater district of NYC. 18 minutes walk from Grand Central, 15 minute walk to Central Park, 3-10 minute walk to Broadway plays. Wine hour from 5-6.
I have been there a few times, including during COVID and onwards. It struck me that the service staff was quiet fantastic but the Reception / Front Desk staff suck. A return guest in my experience gets at a minimum a greeting card in the room to build on the relationship. Not at the Kimpton Eventi, even when I made a point of mentioning coming back. I contrast this with my experience at other NYC hotels and this let me down.
