    I would like to thank you for sharing different kinds of blending with the Neocolors. You mentioned some techniques that nobody that I have watched so far mentioned or come close to it. Thank you. Your expertise in blending will definitely help many others.

    Enjoyed your process. I didn't realize that that paper would tolerate water. I love my Neo2's. Actually did a piece on canvas with them (bit of a texture challenge). Love your big set😊 . Got mine piecemeal from Blick. They're a good filler if your order is short a few bucks. Thanks for your great explantions as you go.

      You’re so welcome! I couldn’t agree more with what you said. These are so easy to build sets bit by bit and even having just a few in your art supplies is really a neat addition! I bet using them on canvas was a lot of fun😍 I really love this Canson Sand Grain paper. It is quite affordable and so versatile! Thanks for watching. I appreciate your comments.👩🏻‍🎨❤️

    Glad you love the neo 2s as well. Here is a trick after working a few years w them (warm water) doesn't stay warm too long in a bowl. But suck up very warm water into a water brush and shake squeeze out a little on paper towel to clean an d prep, now dab a little on the colors drawn on the paper and swipe it quickly over the color for a quick even melt. You use less water and the layer will dry faster. More more! You do a fine tute! So inspiring.

    Thank you for sharing this video. I love Caran d’ Ache Neocolor ll’ s and I haven’t found much information on how to use them. I like how your crocus flower, in snow, out and I’m going to try my hand at painting a daffodil in the same manner. The water 💦 drop instructions were great. Thank you, Fran

      Hi Laura! Thank you so much I’m so happy you enjoyed this! It’s funny-every time I use these NeoColors I think of them as the perfect art medium….you can draw and paint at the same time and they can be manipulated like gouache OR pastels! The perfect combo! Happy painting-I hope you create lots of beautiful art with your Neocolor IIs❤️

    I loved your video. I have just started experimenting with water soluble oil pastels. I learned a lot. One question I have is about the paper. Is it a toned Canson mixed media paper or the Canson sanded that is commonly used for soft pastels.

    • @artonthecreek
      @artonthecreek  Год назад +1

      Hi Patti! The paper I used for the crocus is the Canson XL Sand Grain Dry Mixed Media paper. So little water is used that this paper works very well for this project. Enjoy painting!🤠

      Hi Natasha! Thank you! The pencil sharpener I used is the Derwent:
      www.amazon.com/dp/B00CA15DIQ?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_W0PWTZ550JCD4WZMDMTR
      I have one I like even better-but laziness won out and I reached for the Derwent, my #2 choice. It’s a great sharpener, but I really like my AFMAT long point for most things. Here is a link to my video of pencil sharpener reviews if you are interested. You’ll find links to several sharpeners in that video description:
