i agree
Same I'm a month in, I can play wonderwall that's about it, but I love playing, so relaxing
Yea I’m a beginner and my brother recommended me to him
It never ceases to amaze me how many great songs are comprised of these 4 chords!!
facts after learning barre chords and and open chords ive been tearing up my favorite songs
LIke they used to say about Country Music, 3 chords and the truth.
Great to see your dad's old Martin again Marty. Sure he never knew when he bought it that it would be seen & heard by people all over the world. Please do more acoustic blues stuff & on that guitar too. Thanks!!!

I've been playing guitar for 4 years now and Marty is the person who started me off through his RUclips videos. He is an amazing teacher definitely watch his tutorials
For those of you without a kapo, the chords are A, E, F sharp minor, then D
the F is a barre chord , so place your index finger across second fret on all strings, then your pinky 4th string 4th fret, and ring finger 5th string 4th fret.
it will feel similar to a power chord but your index finger uses every string, and is a tough chord to master.
Alternatively have your first three fingers on the bottom three strings of the 2nd fret and strum only the bottom three strings sounds similar to a d and loses a bit of depth to the song but is much easier for very beginners
I got my F Barre cord with your instructions. I have practicing this for 2 months. I would like to add the tucking in you strumming hand elbow close to you while pulling your index finger towards you will create the tension needed to play the cord. Like you are trying to bring the guitar close to you like a bow.
2:37 strum pattern
I love how you always take the time to show the littlest things that most accomplished guitarists take for granted. You are such a talented musician, yet you haven't lost sight of where you started from, much love Brother!
Marty,I've only been playing 2yrs,and I'm here to tell ya,I've learned more from you, than any online guitar teacher. I know guys, been playing 20 yrs,and they still go to you to learn a new song, without a doubt. You are the best, my man!!!
My cousin got guitar lessons from Darius Rucker when he was a child because his dad was was the tour bus driver
That’s literally so sweet tho
Not surprised. I’ve heard he’s a really top notch guy. That’s an awesome story!
Cap
@@MelonWithHands cap is the most ghetto cancerous Shang term known to man
It's true , I was the guitar
• chords: G, D, e minor, C
• strumming pattern: down up down up down up down
•capo: second fret
1st time: G, D, e minor, C
2nd time: G, D, C (C twice as long, no e minor) hope this helps! 🙃
He said strumming patern is: D, D, U, D, U, D, U.
Thank you Marty ive learned so many songs from you over the years and i never had a chance to say thanks. Very much appreciated . You make learning guitar fun. Great job Marty , Thank you for all the free lessons. Cheers , Sincerely Thomas.
Marty Schwartz, Roger Bates. I grew up playing guitar country music can’t read a note a play by ear. For you or your website you are by far the best that I have seen in several years of searching to help people who are familiar with the guitar, progress more rapidly and have to be one of the easiest people to learn from as a beginner, your videos are awesome. I watch you all the time to learn new things, thank you very much for what you do. I enjoy what you teach you rock bro.
Marty Schwartz has taught me all the best stuff I know over the last year. Love his work, and me and all my friends will know Marty by name
Thanks for all the lessons Marty. I've given up learning guitar in the past a couple times but I've really gotten into it thanks to your lessons.
It's crazy how far you come just by practicing Iv been playing for 3 years this June and your videos have helped alot Thanks marty

Hi Marty

Thanks for your inspiration and knowledge
Love this song. I always feel like it’s a great song-along at last call. Thanks, Marty.
Dude this is like the 8th song I've learned from you. I only started playing 2 years ago and I've accomplished more than I thought I ever would. If I may make a suggestion no one has a good lesson of one of one of my favorite songs.
Down by the seaside by led Zeppelin
Your videos have helped me tremendously. But on these beginner songs, would be so helpful to have the strum pattern displayed on screen like the beginner strumming pattern videos. Love your channel
You are my favorite Marty. I’ve learned so much from your videos. My family even know you since I’m always watching your video. Keep up the good work!!! We’re listening and watching.

Marty is excellent. He chose to really simplify this one.
Actually this is exactly how Darrius plays it live, I think the second guitar might add in some little diddlys and I know it plays a solo but Darrius just plays it like this all the way through, real simple
You make learning to play fun. Thank you Marty
