Finally got it up and running. The only delays we had was because we realized we needed some extra parts (I’ll list that below) ruclips.net/user/postUgkxihMYiJNXcHdbH-7ihymsLz61l7jVyb5O . So we have a loft where our current hvac just couldn’t seem to keep cool during the summer. We have been using a window unit since we bought this house over 6 years ago (all the houses in this neighborhood were built in the 80’s and majority of the houses built like ours use a window unit). I hate window units because they are just so noisy and the one we had really only cools one side of the loft. I had contemplated upgrading our current HVAC, but with all the rising prices these days, it would take years before saving up enough to do that. With the advice of my father-in-law (used to run an HVAC business), he recommended we get an inverter instead. We thought we bought everything we needed, but there were just a few other parts we didn’t anticipate needing (which is what caused most of our delay). My friend and father-in-law did all the work to get it installed and running and now we have nice cool air circulating nicely throughout the entire loft. It is very quiet and even the outside unit is much quieter than our main HVAC unit. Saved ourselves thousands getting this.

Just so you know you drilled the hole on the wrong side. If you ever need to service the evap head you won't be able to pull the head away from the wall.

It doesn't actually make a difference what side the hole is on 🙂 if you are going to pull it off the wall, you'll have to disconnect the refrigeration pipes anyway 🙂

Yes, but you must reduce the refrigerant. a short line is not recommended because it could transfer noises from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit.

Buenas noches que lastima de hechar a perder la fachada del edificio poniendo los compresores ahí está muy fácil subirlos al azotea de la vivienda y el sacar los tubos de la línea de frío por el lado de la derecha como que no es lo más correcto.
Por la izquierda es un poco mas tardado
Pero es mas facil para desmontar
La unidad en caso de necesitar mantenimiento

Any videos on how to replace a compressor on these units or simar units like this one ..my air conditioner isn't letting out really cold air so I'm assuming the gas in compressor needs refill or replaced the unit is about 7 years old and only been used mostly in the summer doest the compressor be in the unit inside or the fan on the outside?

Varia de marca pra marca alguns são 03 metros outro 02 mts outros acima de 04mts importante é gelar o.probelma não a tubulação é sim o excesso de gás que fica na máquina pra distância de tubos a menos

Poco más y conectan directamente la tubería que viene del Split la compresor, a eso se le llama ahorrar tubería y además por el lado derecho en vez de por la izquierda para posibles averías y mantenimientos...

Sorry brother wrong installation. You should make that hole in left side of indoor unit wall . You only thinking about installation, what about future servicing , if we need to remove ac again we have to break the wall again.
All sides of the house filled with compressors(ugly view), and their noise will disturb you all the time. Don't like split AC.

you dont need oil traps for r410 unless the 2 units are very high apart

However, technicians should always be sure to seal refriger- ant lines by crimping them closed and brazing them if they will be exposed to the atmosphere for any length of time.When an HVAC system uses POE (Polyolester) oil, which is typical of current R410a systems, suction oil traps are not required* because POE is miscible in R410a in all phases (liquid, saturated liquid and vapor)

Outro detalhe que achei incoerente é essa tubulação sendo curva 90⁰ após atravessar a parede na prática roda vez que for necessário retirar o aparelho para preventiva terá que desfazer essa curva o que num futuro não tão distante causará a quebra da tubulação,pelo menos eu não gosto de instalar dessa maneira
Uma das piores práticas de instalação, pensando em garantia do equipamento e manutenção... instalação sem respeitar a distância mínima, e ainda dobra o tubo da maquina pra fora, numa manutenção precisa desinstalar o equipamento e ainda corre o risco de trinca na tubulação da evaporadora, muito ruim, pensando em acabamento não a o que se discutir, mas qualidade técnica ai... é 0.

One observation: the copper tubes between evaporator and condenser less than 3 meters and connection out side.

for some ac it can work at 2 meter minimum, but this is less than that, it's about 1.5 meter i dont know is it ok for the ac or not
Single zone systems are the easier to install. Even a child can do it. Try installing a multizone like one that supports up to 8 IDUs. I am a homeowner and just done installing a 5 tons LG multizone, in a 4000 sq ft commercial steel building that is my hobby garage. I don't trust any professionals. I bought my first mini split back in late 90s in US when there was none other brand beside Mitsubishi Mr. Slim. Today, LG is way ahead.

I need to lift my sinking house but my outdoor unit is placed on the ground. Do I absolutely need to decommission the outdoor unit before lifting the wall? I only need to lift the wall by 7cm or max 10cm. Can I just lift the outdoor unit slowly as I lift the wall?

Todo muy lindo, pero se olvidan que el aceite del compresor va a ir directamente a la unidad interna, haciendo que el rendimiento del equipo no sea el optimo, ademas de no cumplir con las reglas de intalacion de cañeria minima de 3 metros, segun manual....... Todo muy lindo muchachos, pero......

Price for instalation up to 12.000btu unit Is 5500mkd or 90euro in Macedonia. In that price is included copper pipes 1/4,3/8 up to 3m cables 3x1,5/5x1,5 up to 4m condensation pipe and set of outdoor unit stand.
So cheap. In 🇺🇸 one unit can cost up to $4000 for one unit only.
All very nice, but they forget that the oil from the compressor will go directly to the internal unit, making the equipment's performance not optimal, in addition to not complying with the rules for installing a minimum pipe of 3 meters, according to the manual ....... All very nice guys, but......

That's the way they do in Norway as well.they consider it as waste of copper wire/money and you have a loss of efficiency with touch copper wire outside. They just recover the refrigerant and use only asuch copper wire as needed.
