    The core concept of the martial arts can arguably be said to be "How can we make it so a little guy can beat up a big guy?" Naturally from there psychic powers and ki blasts were to follow.

    This is actually quite nefarious when you think about it. The kids sitting in those audiences are the ones who've been bullied in school, receivers of swirlees and such. They are there, probably after begging their parents for help, because they honestly think George here is going to help them put an end to it all. How many of them went back to school on Monday, and thought a lite tap on the bully's belly or back would prevent the brutality from continuing, only to be rewarded with an even worse beating because they had put their faith in this particular magic bean?

    Hey Larsen, I've been bingewatching Kung Fail, but this episode hits very close and personal to me. When I was a kid, I learned martial arts at a school that was affiliated with George Dillman himself. He didn't show up every single lesson, but I saw him a few times to get enough recollection of what he was doing. And yes, he taught the "chi" bullshit with him. In fact, the clip at 3:29 was the place I went to when I was younger. When I was first learning it, I completely fell for it, thinking that Chi was this superpower that can knock out anyone. Then as I got more established with it, I knew it was full of shit. Especially when I tried it in the schoolyard with my friends (and the bullies) to no avail. Eventually getting more and more fed up with martial arts in general, I concluded that all martial arts were full of shit, and gave bullies the benefit of the doubt for being stupid in the fight. Now while George Dillman was... George Dillman, the school did teach some legitimate things, but they were few and far between because all we did were katas and simple exercises. But that didn't stop me from getting the hell out of there. And if I were to do THAT again, I would.
    I'm now 19 years old and working on getting healthier and once the stupid virus is over, I plan on going to a martial arts school that is actually legitimate, and teaches things that are practical to real life, in the case that someone wants to hurt me or my loved ones. I commend you for making these Larsen, you are doing a huge service by calling these people out, because frauds like Dillhole, Abullshitta Kim, and Frank Ducks prey on the innocent bullied kids that can't defend themselves, and by doing this, give them a false sense of security while taking their money. Its absolutely criminal, and it angers me that people like this still continue to spread lies. Continue calling them out dude, because they deserve to get called out. They had it too good stealing money from impressionable kids, and even teenagers and adults for too long now.

    • @aspenrebel
      @aspenrebel 5 лет назад

      OK, I took a little peak at video. Yeah, you are right, NO ONE (and certainly NO Greatest Martial Artists in the World MMA Guy) has EVER been stunned, dazed, or knocked out by being hit in the Temple. Cuz they are Supermen and impervious to that, they have no temples, they have no nerves, they have no blood flow to brain, they have no soft spots on their bodies. Every spot is solid steel!!!!. No one has ever been knocked out by being hit in the Nerves in the cheek, or hit on the "beam" of the chin, or on the eye orbital, or square on the ear, on on the top of the head, or up under the chin, of at the base of the cerebral cortex at the base of the skull/back of neck (i.e. "rabbit punch"), or along the nerves from the neck along the top of shoulder (with a Karate chop or anything). No one has ever been knocked out, or even killed, by being hit square on the nose, breaking it, and having nose bone driven up into their brain. No, never in the history of the world has any of that ever happened to anyone, ever. Nerve points and pressure points are all bullshit, no such thing. Striking to them wil do nothing. No MMA guy has ever been knocked out in the cage by being struck to the head. You are so ignorant you don't even see nor understand what is going on at 7:50. The guy's temple is being struck, hard, with the hard part of the open hand at the base of the fingers. Open your hand, instead of making a meathead fist, now scrunch your fingers back and see how hard that part at base of fingers actually is. You strike with that at the temple and it is like getting hit by a hammer you ignorant dumbass. Why is it with you morons .. EVERYTHING has to be Full power, full on, muscle bound, full contact, full fighting, Offensive, beat the crap out of eachother, in a ring/cage, serious, life or death, macho crap ALL THE TIME? Nothing can be a demonstration, education, information, being shown something, training in a technique, basics, fundamentals, etc? Don't you jackasses EVER get SHOWN something? Have something DEMONSTRATED to you? Don't you ever PRACTICE or TRAIN in a technique? So everything for you, in your life, from the moment you wake up, go to your gym if full out, full power punching and kicking and grappling and armbars (breaking arms) and choking (choking people out and killing them) the entire time you are in your gym? is that correct? You never work on basics or fundamentals, never learn what parts of the body to do what on? Oh wait!! What about armbars? Why do armbars work? Do you even know? Oh wait, cuz of TENDONS and NERVE POINTS !! Oh but wait, all that is bullshit, isn't it? Why do chokes work? Do you even know why someone is knocked out, if you knock someone out? Why is it NOT a good idea to HEAD BUTT in a clinch in the ring? For either person? It is amazing, how you all turn a blind eye to knowledge, information, techiniques, the human body and how it works. But then you whine and cry when you get beat by a NON-Stable guy that comes in from the outside. Who doesn't do what you do, follows your routine and script... "Ok, first we dance around for a while, then flail out a few punches and kicks that do nothing, then a few roundhouse kicks to side of leg, but you just have to stand there and take it, ok? Then we get into a clinch and do nothing, then throw a few knees that do nothing. Then tackle eachother and go to the ground, and mount each other, then ........ etc, etc... etc". Follow the routine. "Oh wait!! You can't block me from tackling you!! You can't step back out of the way. You have to go on the ground, then I throw some punches, and eventhough they aren't doing anything to you, MY REF is going to call the fight, and I win. Cuz that's how it is scripted. You can't drive you knuckle into the nerve point and the base of my ear and me excruciating pain and to yell and scream and squirm around. That will make me look bad, and might cause me to black out".

    I remember watching a Dillmon video years ago where he stated that he came across an accident on the road and there was a lady involved who was unconscious. He said he wanted to sit her up and start smacking the back of her neck to revive her but was afraid of what witnesses might think, so he didnt. The girl died and he felt bad because he thought he could have saved her life by smacking her around. Dudes been a fraud for a long time.

    • @aspenrebel
      @aspenrebel 5 лет назад

      How do you think Medical Doctors or EMT out in the field revive unconscious people if they don't inject them with a drug, such as Adrenaline? They "stun" or "Shock" certain points of the body, to get breathing and blood flow going, and to "wake up" the brain. What do you think the Stun Shock Paddles do? You know when they yell "CLEAR!!". What do you think they are shocking? How do you think you revive a person who has been drowning? You have to try to manipulate certain parts of body in certain ways, as well as get the water out of their lungs. Your ignorance of the human body is astounding. Oh that's right, all you need to know is size, weight, muscles, clinch, tackle, mount, pound & ground, right? Cuz that's all there is, right? I remember one time, or rather one guy, many years ago, I could put him down on the ground everytime with a pressure/nerve point at top of his shoulder by his neck. I'd just touch him and he'd go down. Try the same thing to me, and I'd just stand there looking at you. Every person is different. I knew this young guy, many years ago, you could bend his fingers all the way back, and twist his wrist around and he's just look at you. Me .. touch my wrist and I go down. There is a radial nerve in the middle of your forearm. Try it on my, nothing, other people and they may go right down. Every one's body is different. Somethings work on some people and not others. That is the human condition. But you people seem to come out of a cookie cutter, where everyone is the same, and everyone has to be doing the same thing. So you believe that anyone who is not doing things your way, in your "club", in your "stable", then they must be a fraud and must be damned. You sound just like CNN and the Democrat Party. You, and all of you, people who have never experienced being struck by "Chi". Once you had been, then you wouldn't be mouthing of so much all the time.

He made a post saying he was done but everyone thought it was some elaborate plan to bring along a story line (if you remember he was putting things at the end of his video like the black dragon whatever were going to attack him). However when people started saying they would save his videos he deleted the entire channel. I still search his name every couple of weeks like a crazy ex gf would lol but man I miss his stuff. Another group of frauds are the Gracie family with their BJJ, claiming every fight eventually goes to the ground. What a pathetic argument to sell their brand of martial arts. Granted, BJJ, Judo, etc are legitimate, every fight I've ever been in was strictly standing up. I don't claim to be the best. But the fights I've been in, one of the two knocks down the other. The fight continues until the other throws in the towel. And for the record, it's a documented fact that when any of the Gracie's get into a UFC contest, they'll cheat like a politician for the win. Hardly the greatest martial art ever.

Many of which would look odd or weird to YOU, but which is the way it is done. That is how the human body and brain works. I wonder how many people in your realm suffer brain damage because they are not properly resuscitated after having blacked out.

    Dillman is a fraud but his story is not quite what you may think. I'll explain what was told to me by my martial trainer. My teacher is a 6th Dan in Ryu Kyu Kempo Karate among other things I need not mention. The Ryu Kyu stuff is the key. He trained under Taika Seiyu Oyata and was in his top students called the Shin Shu Ho. While there he learned about how Dillman had trained under Oyata, learned a large portion of Oyata's style, left the organization and tried to copyright what he learned combined with other arts, most of which were poor quality under his current style name. He tried to steal Oyata's style and call it his without giving any credit for what parts Oyata taught. This was considered very disrespectful to the Okinawan native Oyata and Dillman was stripped of all rank and banned from his schools. Dillman never learned the higher degrees of what Oyata could teach. The pressure point stuff is real but not how Dillman sells it. It has to be very precise, fast and coupled with other effective techniques to work right. It also takes a very high level of training or you can fail badly. Dillman never got there. Just saw a few things the head guy was doing and tried to run off with no real understanding. My trainer has experienced the pressure point stuff first hand and can do a lot of it but even at 6th Dan he never learned light touch knockouts because light touches are BS! They have to have force. I personally know a few small ones to break grabs, etc but not to the level I have witnessed it done. Tuite jitsu and Kyoshu jitsu (joint locks and pressure point strikes) go hand in hand and require a lot of hard training to get it right. I kid you not, it's real, takes a long time to learn, is very effective (my trainer used it in police work), has nothing to do with tongues or toes blocking knock outs and looks nothing like Dillman's bullshido.

    I remember taking a 'Pressure Point masterclass' when I was studying Korean martial arts. When the seminar got to head points, all my 14 year old's fantasies of being Kwai Chang Caine evaporated.
    As he listed the points I translated them in my head to their anatomical position.
    Stomach9 (side of neck on jugular vein)
    Stomach 6 (side of jaw)
    Triple Warmer 21 & 22 (temple)
    Governing Vessel 26 and Conception Vessel 24 (under nose and point of chin respectively)
    I couldn't see then (or now) that these martial artists hadn't realised that any knockouts you delivered had less to do with acupuncture meridians and more to do with you were striking the head very hard where any amateur boxer knows will knock them out!
    Ridiculous!

In South Korea they have McDojangs by the hundreds and to many Koreans it's just a business for them. However, there's only a handful of Korean masters that do take their country's martial arts seriously and teach it the right way.

    • @tombstoneharrystudios584
      @tombstoneharrystudios584 6 лет назад +3

      AleX Kazama I’ll admit I wasn’t exactly clear with my post.
      One point of argument i should have early made, was that a lot of these pressure points are little more than areas of the body where nerves/joints etc are more vulnerable or exposed, or that the knockout points in the head have more to do with “brain shake” than esoteric Chinese Medicine theory.
      The fraud is that there are a lot of so-called experts who are either ignorant of basic human anatomy , or willingly perpetuating FALSE information based on untested or anecdotal “medical” evidence.
      In Dillman’s case, he tends to show the same points at every seminar, and most of them are just brain shaking the poor guy. Sure, Dillman is overweight and way past his prime, but decades of Karate 🥋 means he can hit hard and fast!
      The singer Loretta Lynn once said that the key to success was being “first, best or different” and Dillman certainly fulfilled that. He was a legitimate Karate champion (albeit at kata), he was the first person to openly teach these “secret pressure points” to the West, and he knew how to sell it!
      The same is true of Stephen K Hayes. Regardless of the authenticity or effectiveness of the Bujinkan, he was the first American to talk in depth about Ninjutsu, he was a good writer with a flair for telling good stories as well as imparting solid training tips, and his Grizzly Adams no-nonsense looks and acting training made him a star in a field full of Ashida Kims, Preppers and Black gi clad judo guys desperate to keep people coming to their classes 😂

    • @AleX065470
      @AleX065470 6 лет назад +3

      Tombstone Harry Studios i see now what you mean, sorry for misinderstanding that!
      the reason is probably i have a different view of pressure points, not coming from phisolophical books and seminars but simply tests on sparring friends and my own body.
      you can read my other superlong comment if you're interested ^_^
      the main difference is i don't consider them as "strike targets" but just weak points to actually press, not to knockout but to move the stroger opponent and try going to a control position.
      if i ever read or heard what you did i would feel what you say even better!
      have a good day bro! are you training something now by the way?

    While I personally believe that there can be some pressure point techniques in martial arts training, I find it hard to believe that any dojo would teach such techniques to the average person since it would be too easy to either abuse or misused, causing serious injury or accidental death. Something like that might be preserved more for special military training or for secret services use.

    At one time, early 60s, it was enough to just do 'karate' or kung fu to be mysterious and 'deadly'. As tournaments came in, then contact karate, those who didnt want to fight in those bouts, or couldnt 'make a name' as a fighter, but maintain their large ego (and also retain students daft enough to follow them), started to reinvent themselves. Some,like Dillman, even convinced themselves of their deluded 'research'. And it was always the same delusions and the similar deluded students, who werent interested in sparring in any form,... wanting to know the 'secrets' of the 'magic'. None of these such people want to put in the hard work that a karate fighter needs to put in to make techniques effective, nor do they want to concede the time and work needed to analyse the applications of traditional kata. I can imagine traditional genuine karate high dan gradesin okinawa ..of any style.. shitting themselves laughing at this nonsense.

    • @pegbars
      @pegbars 5 лет назад

      Martial arts is all BS.

    • @tomg2946
      @tomg2946 5 лет назад +1

      pegbars. Id agree with you > 90% of time. When you count all the McDojos, all the TKwonDo fighters that cant punch (fight wise), when you count all the training that never involves any sparring, when you count all the 'flakey' fighting that point fighting can descend into, when you count any 'art' that depends on cooperation to make it work (aikido, but not aiki jutsu), and all the f-/g idiots involved. And then theres all the people who just do 'martial arts' as exercise or personal development (nowt wrong with that but the definition of what makes an art 'martial' needs considering! )
      But then theres some authentic martial arts, kickboxers, muay thai, bjj, good judo players, and *some* karate.
      The JKA shotokan instructors class was well known for bareknuckle drag out fighting, and produced some hard guys, so much that the Yakuza used to 'employ' some of them as bodyguards and muscle. ( Nobody in the JKA will ever confirm this, but its well known by word of mouth). Kyokushin is not bad , tough, but the older type goju sparring was probably tougherand more realistic, because they punched you hard in the head, not just body.
      Likewise, alot of good karate of many styles in okinawa, most hard nuts there do not mess around with okinawan goju black belts.
      Theres some decent fighters in the US and Europe from karate too, its just that most people who train in karate nowadays do not have to be a credible fighter to gain Dan grades.
      So there you get down to 10% or less of martial artists worthy of the art they train in. Prob closer to 5%. Resulting deduction by a crtical eye then says 'martial arts are crap' ( for real fighting). Its really the 'artists' (95% of em) that are crap fighters.

    • @tomg2946
      @tomg2946 5 лет назад +1

      Not allf it mate! But Id say *genuine* trad karate is decent enough, because somehow the can function with only students who will go on to fight decently, genuine bbelts awarded. Include Savate, kickboxing, muay thai, bjj, judo, some japanese jujutsu, iaido, and a few others, they can fight bloody well. But... basically youre right, because Id say 95% of people doing martial arts are *not* fighters in any sense of the word. Trouble is, not all of the 95% realise that, and actually delude themselves, 'propping up their ego' from their practice.

    I know Mr. Dillman, and I can personally vouch for him. I also remember Frank Dux , I worked with him during the his many travels to rescue POW of the Vietnam war. I was only 8 at the time, but never mind that. You see Mr. Dillman would use his powers to transport them to Mr. Frank Dux, Frank would then Keyster stash the prisoners up his ass. They say his keyster was so huge, that at one time, they built a ramp up to his ass, and drive tanks right up in his gizzards. At that time these men had their hands registered with the CIA and FBI as lethal weapons. George's breath was also considered a very dangerous letal device. He spewed so much bullshit from his mouth, well it was just a terrible, nasty ass smell. So you see, its really not his hands, it was his mouth that became the weapon, he just only let his close students like myself in on this great secret. The last time I seen both of them, well that was when I visited Mr. Wonka at his amazing chocolate factory. You see ladies and gentlemen both these men had so much Bullshitery , why they helped to fill that wonderful little river in Mr. Wonka's amazing factory. You know the one that agustus dranks out of? That shit, I mean chocolate still flows freely from both of these amazing men of legend and courage.

    When you critique be smarter than the person you are working on. You imply consistently that people being slapped really hard is what causes the reaction. Almost in no case are the slaps hard enough to cause these reactions and it does not mean that Dillman is correct, that is not my argument. There is actually a lot going on here: In some ways it is the same thing that causes a martial artist who has never thrown a jab in their life to enter a boxing ring and decide to box a boxer...Or a person to grapple a grappler.
    As human beings we are social creatures and we naturally want to fit into the social event. People can convince themselves that they are being "short circuited" or that it is smart to allow a grappler to grab them. Dillman and others plug into this social awareness and how people will bend their common sense because something seems socially acceptable.
    Dillman was a promising martial artist. He was trying to find some hidden aspect. I believe he fell prey to suggestion himself at least initially.
