We’re just finishing the old LA Grade 3. It was our first year using TGATB. It was wonderful. The new one looks even better. We’ll be buying Grade 6, 4 and Preschool LA this year. I’m so glad to have come across it. ❤
We printed out 15 lessons from the old version while waiting for the new version. The new version is SO much better and my daughter is retaining much more.
Ours just arrived and my son is already pouring over the readers! We had great results from the level two. Have you seen anything that indicates an update for level 4?
Compared to other homeschool curriculums it is inexpensive. That is for the printed version. I dint know what shipping would be though. But the pdf is free! You can print it yourself if you would like
thank you for this video! my kids and i love to read at night. do you think that reading these chapters at night instead of before the lesson each day will throw off the lesson itself? or can the readers be used at night without throwing off the lesson to where it doesn't make sense?
I had no idea how vital learning pre cursive then cursive writing is to the brain and neurology from about 8 years old. I remember learning it in the sixties but thought it was only to learn to write quickly. It isn't. Look it up.
Do you find this curriculum good even though you are in the uk? I’m wanting to find a curriculum but worried it won’t be good as we are in uk and hoping to go on to gcse level in the future with mine. Also is this expensive?
They have just redone the lower levels and they didn’t change them to lay flat so I’m not sure yet if they will change that in the future. I do think the spiral binding is better for littles but who knows they might! 💛
@@blossomschoolhouse6059my daughter is left handed so I wire bind all of her books. We are on level K so hope it stays until we get to level 3. Curriculum looks beautiful as always.
Is there really that big a difference between American and UK English. I know there's some minor difference like y'all tend to spell words ending in er with re
@@mistybethune9116 its differences in pronunciations, vocabularies, and spelling. There are grammatical differences too. I've noticed it's the use of 'z' a lot as well instead of 's'. With regards to the maths program it's different currency and that's the only difference I can think of for that. But in the grand scheme of things, it's something to watch out for if you intend your children to take exams in English such as at GCSE. They'll get marked down for using American English.
They most certainly haven’t dumbed them down. They have simplified some areas that many family’s found a little complicated and made the same principles easier to teach/learn. For example instead of having to flip through the book for sight words and spelling they created separate books that the course will direct you to use at certain times. We love the changes they’ve made 👏🏼

Thank you for this video! This is the best review I have watched of TGATB.
Thank you so much, I’m really glad it was helpful! 💛
Thank you for the very thorough video. We're waiting for this package currently, and this just makes us more excited!
I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have been!
Thanks for sharing, this looks such a lovely la program.
These changes have me adding it to my shopping list. It really is beautiful.
Sooo beautiful isn’t it! They really listen to feedback which is just incredible 💛
You explained this perfectly!! Thank you for sharing with us!!

Oh yes you could absolutely read them at night!

Do you find the spellings, lessons about rules etc fit with our language differences? 🖤
I have a new video explaining how we adapt the American currency and spellings 😊

Yes we absolutely love it. There isn’t much of an issue with it being American just a few things we easily swap out or bypass ☺️
Do you know if they’ll change all of low levels to lay flat binding ?

I love the look of the course, stunning material, but I'm worried they might be in American English? ❤
I’m going to do a video really soon explain how we use it in the U.K. even thought it’s American 💛
@@blossomschoolhouse6059 thank you so much! I'd be tempted with this course for next year!

@@kezbunny oh no I didn't realize that many difference well I know some words are pronounced differently and course y'all have a different currency
Can I just ask are there any issues with American spelling / words....??
Check out my lashes video explains the differences for currency and spelling 💛
I heard they dumbed down the new levels
