    We are just finishing up Level K Language arts and I can’t say how much I love it. The phonics is strong, structured and sequential.

    Looks like it’s going to be a great year ahead. We used to live in Europe and miss it so much. So wonderful to hear you speak. Just subscribed. I also have a channel with tons of homeschooling content. It would be fun to be friends and connect here. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

    Hello! I hve a couple of questions. Similar to others, I worry about some of the American spelling/money. I really like the look of this curriculum though and there doesn’t seem to be a UK equivalent. Also, as it’s faith based, is it very geared towards Christians?

      When my child was in kinder I made his curriculum myself. I used teachers pay teachers alot, but when my next child was ready for school I was exhausted from building curriculum. I knew having all my kids joining in lessons I needed something deep yet simple but well rounded! I saw this curriculum and bought level 1, pre kinder, pre school and kinder, for language arts. My life was changed! It is not complicated at all, the lessons are well rounded simple and my children are thriving and learning. I am learning too. It really is an amazing company. I thought the same thing at first, it looked complicated but its very simple and the children are learning so much! I can only speak on their language arts and science curriculum but they truly are open and go!

    hello dear,
    I just found your channel. I would like to know if you have any videos or tips on how this process works in terms of the government, What are the first steps to start homeschooling with my children?

    • @blossomschoolhouse6059
      @blossomschoolhouse6059  Год назад +1

      Hi there! Oh I’d love to help the best I can but I can only speak from the experience we’ve had of homeschooling from the beginning and not enrolling them in school ever. In that respect we just didn’t enrol them in any schools and a few months into the first year we received a letter asking why we hadn’t, with a phone number to call. We simply phoned and told them we have elected to homeschool and they said great we’ve put it down that you’re home educating and we’ve not heard from them since. I think if your children have attended a school previously or even nursery then it might be different. I’m so sorry I can’t say anymore than that as I’m not 100% sure. I hope you find some answers though!

    • @blossomschoolhouse6059
      @blossomschoolhouse6059  Год назад

      Hey. So the best thing to do to figure out which level they need is to complete the level assessments. For example for your 9 year old you could have a little look at the assessments (available as a free download) and then carry out the one or two you think meet where he is at. Same thing for your 6 year old. I hope that helps? Here’s a link for the level assessments for language arts www.goodandbeautiful.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Language-Arts-Course-Level-Placement-Test-3.3.pdf

    Hi! I have a 6 year - been homeschooling her with the curriculum recommended by the government from Structured Home Learning. I'm thinking to switch to TGATB for year 2 in September. Would you say that it suits the UK curriculum? I'm just a little nervous to take the plunge. Many thanks in advance!
    P.S: When I was looking to start homeschooling last year ( after taking her out of school), your videos gave me so much confidence. Thank you so much!

      @blossomschoolhouse6059  Год назад +1

      Hi. Oh it makes me so happy to know these videos were helpful in making your decision!!how’s your first year been? Yes it can definitely suit the U.K. curriculum- you just have to ignore the currency and some of the measurements but it’s not much. Whenever there’s American currency I just do the same sort of activity with our English learning coins and when there’s measurement we don’t use I pull out a cheap workbook for their age group on measurements. Other than that it’s perfectly suitable. Hope that helps! 💛

    • @blossomschoolhouse6059

      You can order directly from good and beautiful.com there is a shipping cost to U.K. but no custom fees whatsoever because they are marked as ‘educational material’ hope that helps

  • @bribriannita7935
    @bribriannita7935 Год назад

    • @blossomschoolhouse6059
      @blossomschoolhouse6059  Год назад

      Hey! So the shipping can get expensive but I think they are still working on that. It’s reduced by half over the last couple years but can still be expensive. The great thing is they have made so much of their curriculum available as pdf downloads so you have the option to print it yourself and can have it bound at a stationery store or you can hole punch and put in folders. If you order once a year and get everything at once you may feel you can justify the shipping cost. As far as extra charges I’m happy to report there are none! No custom fees or anything as it is all marked as educational material and is usually delivered in under a week from the time you place an order 🙌🏼 I hope that helps :)

    • @blossomschoolhouse6059

  • @brionyhall4250
    @brionyhall4250 Год назад

    I love the look, style, visuals about TGATB, just wish I could find something similar that isn’t religious (nothing against, we’re just atheist so don’t want a lot of bible references). Genuine question for anyone who have used a lot of this brand - is there a lot of religious references in maths, science and English of these?

    • @blossomschoolhouse6059
      @blossomschoolhouse6059  Год назад

      It’s so visually appealing isn’t it!? I can honestly say the religious aspects are very minimal and can mostly be manoeuvred around but that being said there is mention of God’s beautiful world when looking at a painting etc. hope that helps. You can actually see sample pages on their website if their curriculum if you want to see more 💛
