    Chiefs won the Superbowl. Chiefs wanted to draft a RB. Chiefs asked Mahomes which guy he likes. Mahomes said he liked Clyde. Chiefs drafted Clyde. In the same draft Rodgers said it'd be cool if they drafted a skill player. Packers trade up a few spots over teams that were just in the playoffs and drafts his replacement without giving him a heads-up. Brady goes to Tampa gets the skill players he wants. Aaron watches two teams who value their QBs opinion play in the Superbowl. Can't imagine why Rodgers is unhappy.

      They have that attitude because they are not going to give him any more money in the next (sub-30M) 3 years of his contract, they will tack on years to the end of the contract making him the highest paid QB but in 4 years he may be out of football. If they tore up his current contract and put a 4-year Dak deal in front of him, he might sign it, or at least believe they only have small issues, I think he knows for a fact though the last 3 years of his current contract are unchangeable in GB's eyes.

    The GM created this mess. He moved up in the draft to take a quarterback that they’re not even sure can play in this league. Because of this he created discontent in the locker room. He didn’t talk to Aaron about anything. It’s ridiculous. It’s probably a given that he will have to be traded, but I would fire Gutekunst too. It was GM malpractice.

    • @700Ezalb
      @700Ezalb 3 года назад +1

      Playing devil's advocate here -- Rodgers refuses to take even a little bit less than market value on his contract in order to benefit the team, so the GM probably believes he's justified in thinking, "I'll take care of the GM decisions for this team since you don't want to sacrifice a little bit financially to help us out." I'm not saying that's what's happening or even what he's thinking, but Rodgers might lose a little bit of gusto in what opinions he has on what players the team should add when he hampers them with his contract.
      That all said, yeah, the GM should've spoken to Rodgers and let him know they were going to pick a QB. Communication is everything, from the top down. It's probably not a stretch to say there have been other issues related to poor communication that we don't know about. I'm still surprised Rodgers would want out of Green Bay just because of one guy though, if that's the case. Sometimes the grass ain't always greener on the other side.

      lets not pretend Aaron is warm and cuddly here. Dude is widely known as moody and aloof. Players have said that and so have coaches. Hes even estranged from his own family.

      the mess is created by Aaron's MASSIVE ego.

    • @Ron898
      @Ron898 3 года назад +1

      All valid points, but I can’t get past the fact that on a team that went to the NFCCG the year before, Gutekunst used TWO draft picks to pick a quarterback that by his own admission is a huge project, and he’s not even sure if he is capable of playing in this league. In the meantime you alienate your all world quarterback, you spread discontent in the locker room to the point where players are taking sides, and many are saying if Aaron’s gone, I’m gone. If I didn’t know better, I would say that Gutekunst is an undercover Bears fan sent to Green Bay to destroy the Packers.

    • @TheWkingdom69

      @@700Ezalb Even Brady took a huge pay cut in Tampa so they could bring in better players around him. Most people don't know that Brady makes much less than Rodgers and he's restructured his contract 5 other times and taken less while in New Englund in order to get better players around him. How many times has Rodgers done that...ZERO. It's easy for Rodgers to demand great players but he's unwilling to make any sacrifice himself. Great players cost money...

    I've been a Packer fan since 1967 and have seen the highs and lows over the years. When they had Reggie and Brett it was great but something happened after a few years. Green Bay became accustomed to being thought of as contenders almost every year. The fandom grew, the revenue grew but the management grew more and more timid about change (risks). Seems as if they hunkered down and began to protect management more than caring about the fortunes of the players. As long as they could put out a decent team model every year they could look like they were trying. All they were doing was playing it safe, keeping the money at or above a certain level even though none of it was going to stockholders, etc. Sorry but Murphy should have been gone 5 years ago. Green Bay is driving a 10 year old Volvo they bought from a relative while other teams are tuning up F1 racers. They did it to Favre and now Aaron.

    Rodgers is nowhere near the Mount Rushmore of QBs. Brady was the GM, On Field Coach and QB all in one. Rodgers is not. All those other QBs are just trying to copy what the GOAT does. But there's one thing they will not copy even though it's proven to be the main reason for Brady's success. And that's taking less for the good of the team. Mahomes, Wilson, Rodgers and Watson can whine and complain as much as they want, but they are nowhere near the GOAT.

      He may be no where near the Mount Rushmore, but I think you are missing the point. Rodgers is a first ballot hall of famer who just had ANOTHER MVP year... I think he should have a say in some things. I think he has earned that.

    • @JohnSmith-nj4zq
      @JohnSmith-nj4zq 3 года назад

      @@ALT-vs6qy I don't think he should. He's know to be a diva. He is not a great leader like Brady is. When players don't respect him as much as Brady, you know something is off. Rodgers is known to make plays when the plays breaks down. But Brady is know to decipher defenses before the ball is snapped. Rodgers is not know to be a study freak like Brady is. Brady chose the Bucs because he had experiences in players. He took less money year after year to get Belichick to get better players for him. Someone taking less money is the same as using their pay to invest on getting their players they want. Rodgers and all the other players want to take the Max. Why would a GM give them any say when they don't want to do what's best for the team.
