- Just recently when out mudlarking on a secret stretch of shoreline, I spotted a brightly coloured object glowing as the sun shone through it. I couldn't believe what I was looking at as I have never seen anything quite like it before just sitting on a beach waiting to be found. It really did fill my heart with joy when I picked it up - and it has be one of the most beautiful treasures I have found at low tide. See if you agree with me.
Thank you to Aad of the channel @MudBagger406406406 for inviting @Sifinds and I to search his favourite beaches with him. We had the most wonderful time. Whilst there I was able to collect some lovely seaglass and so I have created a glass fish for Aad and for Simon. You can see what they look like in this video.

The little bird looks like one that my mother had. One would put it in the spout of a kettle and when it boiled the steam would go through it making it whistle, alerting one that the water was hot. You took the little bird out, and set it aside, when it was time to pour the water. If it is clean on the inside, you might try blowing through the base to see if it whistles.
I believe that glass fish fragment is from a 1924 Formosa Vase by Rene Lalique.

Your green glass piece was part of a slogan from a 7-UP bottle: You Like It, It Likes You (1936-1951). Love seeing you on Aad's foreshore. Stunning orange glass fish piece! How appropriate that you were the one to find it.
Radio Distributie was widely used in the Netherlands from the late 1920’s onward as an alternative to owning your own radio. It was a cable service you could relatively cheaply subscribe to that offered a selection of Dutch and even some foreign radio stations, and most importantly guaranteed a better quality of sound than the radio’s available at that time. One thing Aart was right about: during WWII, when owning a radio was prohibited, the Germans uses the Radio Distributie-networks for propaganda purposes.

That bit of a 7-Up soda bottle brought back memories, of when I was a child, and sick, 7-Up and soda crackers were about all I could keep down. I think that was the "It likes you" part o the slogan following, "You like it." Mom knew best. Now I tend to self prescribe gin-and-tonic when life gets wobbly. The chunk of amber glass with fish swimming about was lovely, but not nearly so wonderful as the two fish you made for Simon and Aad, they are lucky gentlemen. I believe the bird stopper is also a whistle. It works with a tiny bit of water and sounds like a bird. Don't know if it will work being cracked. So cute.

I recently attended a huge Fishing and Angling Expo here in Florida, They brought in a large mobile tank full of Bass. I am editing that segment when I watched you find your Fish glassware item LOL, I just thought it was a funny coincidence.

Another beautiful excursion along the tide line.
I really liked the opening sequence and the background music. The audio mix was perfect for me especially when you blended in the tide sound with background music before going back to the studio.
I've often find that some people make the background music so loud that I can't hear what some people are saying at times, especially when watching a British show -- NTSC v PAL video standards

The orange fish glass was amazing, I'm trying to imagine the entire piece. OK, this may sound out there but you take the the girl on the beach with wave/fish, dress the girl in mudlarking clothes, place scraping tool on beside her and use that as your logo. Hi Nicola, I am wondering about your little bird stopper. It was hard to tell in the video but, it looked like it had a hole in the mouth and the tail, does it whistle? I just love your videos! They are so interesting and I like that you research your finds and share them with all of us. I really enjoyed the Malcom club coffee cup shard and the story of how the Malcom Clubs came into being. As a member of the US Air Force, I was a guest in a Malcom Club and was treated to some wonderful hospitality. I've always had a soft spot for the RAF.
