No can play Adult Drake, but young Drake definitely has options (bec in the games he voiced by some kid, not Nolan) and Tom Holland would be a good choice, ppl have to stop thinking he's playing as the adult version

My advice to future video game adaptations into films: respect the community from which your film is on loan. Make no mistake, we as a gaming community do not owe you anything for taking our ‘lowly’ art and making it shiny and palatable for the masses. We are the community who you have to answer to. We made that art into a phenomenon in the first place. Many film adaptations come off as embarrassed of the video game origins and what they end up doing in an attempt to ‘appeal to a mainstream audience’ is rip the fucking soul right out of the thing. In 2019- we are the mainstream. We are the ones buying your tickets and filling your coffers. So cooperate with our industry. Make narrative concessions to our audience. Cast Nolan north as sully or something or at least give him a cameo. We are the ones you have to answer to if you fuck this up. No more of this ‘step aside and let the big boys handle this one’ ego bullshit. 99% of you Hollywood psychos are fucking hacks that couldn’t write your way out of a brown paper bag. For you it’s just another 100 million dollars. For us it’s our childhood. Start taking these things more seriously. And start admitting that you guys kinda suck at this ‘adaptation’ thing and try and make a real goddamn attempt at breaking the formula of failure.

Look I know people are pissed that he doesn’t get the role for the movie but this is supposed to be somewhat of a young Nathan Drake origins story so this doesn’t cut him out yet for sequels

Apparently, the movie takes place before the games & such. In that case, I suppose Tom Holland & Mark Wahlberg will fit the roles.
I'm confused though, is Tom Holland playing adult nathan drake? He looks NOTHING like him as an adult, and is too young. I just saw somewhere that Chris Pratt was offered to play nathan drake but passed. Which if it is true was a dumb move on his part because in my opinion he is perfect for that role. If he were to star in uncharted, I think it would obtain a wider audience, and make a lot of money in the box office. An unknown actor needs to play sully. Chris Pratt as Nathan drake and an unknown actor as sully, I think is the best route to go to make the best movie possible. So it's not a dog and pony show.
tom holland is gonna play young nathan drake and it's the uncharted 3 young nate version because it focuses on the meetings with sully. i agree with you, chris pratt should play nathan drake but sadly he passed on the role. maybe too much responsibility to play such a fan favourite character?

Because the people footing the bill for a $100 million dollar movie want a famous star to headline their movie to increase the chances of making that money back.
Probably should just NOT do a movie. Might ruin the series and turn into another "Hollywood shoot'em up movie that the average public consumer won't think is good". If they do, I really hope they do it very well.
Look at the Assassins creed move as an example what NOT to do (for the most part).
