It’s funny how personal tastes are so different. I LOVE the look of that sport glide. I went into my local Harley dealer to look at the Road Glide, but the Sport Glide won me over. I don’t like the gigantic fairings on the Road Glide and the Street Glide. And I’m a big fan of how much lighter and more maneuverable it is than the Big, Heavy, Road Glide. You know that got to showcase that front wheel, like the people who take off one disc on their Hayabusa or ZX-14. I mean, who needs to stop quick . . . (Facepalm)
Sport Glide is cool, but I can't figure out why someone who wanted one wouldn't just get a Road King. Road King is my favorite Harley at this point I think.
@@cl2eep_rides The roadking is my favourite in the range but is $4000 more than the sportglide personally I don’t get why people would buy a heritage instead of a roadking. The sportglide is a lighter more nimble bike so possibly a younger rider would prefer it over an old school touring bike.

I just bought a 2021 Sport Glide and I love it. I am going to change out the bars to mini apes or T bars. I like the forward controls and mini bat wing!(it really does a great job of keeping the wind OFF your chest.)
Oh Jess, I'm so sorry about your hair! I didn't even know it was broken! But I am so very happy that you got it fixed tho, and I hope it didn't hurt too bad as you got it fixed! Please be careful with your new hair, give it time to break in before you get too wild with it! Big hugs, you lucky dog! 🇺🇲👍🤪🙃

Wow, Harley hit it out of the park..... fantastic offer from them....👍😎😎😎😎😎👏 So glad your being you with this new bike, great to have your perspective of the ergonomics and the feel. Thanks Jess 👍🤗
Watched/listened to the whole video. See if HD will send the 5" screen for the front fairing on the Sport Glide. It will make a huge difference for the long ride. And yeah, I swapped out the forwards for footboards from the Fatboy.
I bought a used 2018 Sport Glide. Upgrade from my 2016 Iron 883. I love it. I also was not a fan of all the things you mentioned so I changed them all. Put a higher 8” windscreen on the mini fairing so it blocks wind properly now. Switched out those footpegs with some mini floorboards. Way more comfortable. And added 4” curved risers to bring the bars a little closer to me cuz I felt like I was too stretched out. Definitely made all the difference. I hope Anna likes it for the ride to Babe’s. Have fun!
I'd take all that crap off and leave it in the garage until a long trip or I need some groceries or something. The Sport Glide is a nice looking bike, bare.
Gotta love new toys - especially loaner to play on. A Reach seat may make it easier for the forward controls for Anna. I have a spare Reach seat that will fit the street glide if you need to use it while you have the bikes, but doesn't look like it will work on the Sport Glide - located on east side of Columbus, OH. Will push you about 1.5" closer, 0.8" lower, and tapered nose will bring legs about 1" closer together. Be safe
I am an HD Touring bike guy, but I have to say the Sport Glide is a sharp looking bike and probably quicker responding. The make a 5.5 inch windshield to replace the way too short 1 inch that comes on the bike. Bike looks like a great option. Also mini floor boards would be a good add on
It took me 2 seasons to get my 2018 Street Glide Special to fit me properly. Changed the seat, bars and levers. Once you get the ergonomics right for you it becomes a very enjoyable bike to ride. Prior I was considering going back to metric... now I love the SGS.
Very cool! Now we know what was on that truck! I agree with a lot of the other commenters that it is good that H-D is reaching out to you. With your subscriber count, I would certainly say that you have some influence.
I have a 2019 Sport Glide, i've had 5 previous bikes and this is my favorite. Can go for long comfortable rides and its so fun to just take out and ride the curves, mine has a stage 2 with 11 inch risers and a bit bigger shield.....definitely better with taller bars, everyone who rides it says so
I like the look of the sportglide, I thought the same thing Kevlar, taller bars and shield and being lighter the 107 wouldn't need much more than stage 2 in this bike.
@@madmike8v72 ,when i had the work done and went to pick it up the Harley tech said this is so fast an maneuverable, he'd never rode a bike like it, loved the bars and the new riding position and the stage 2 really makes it fly, being 150 lbs lighter than a Rode Glide it's very quick, the people who have ridden it are amazed....wanted a fun bike i can take on long rides, done 250 miles one day an not a problem, definitely a keeper
I'm with you on the forward controls. I have them on one of my bikes and I MUCH prefer mids and highway pegs because it gives me more options for foot placement, which you mentioned before in another video. I also like the Sportster and Dyna placement of the gauge pretty much in the line of sight.
I had a look at this same bike today and I have to agree with you. Forward controls are a wonky way to ride. I also agree that the handlebar setup is a bit too "beach comber" for my taste. Narrow them up a bit and make them less vertically challenged. That being said, I sort of like the mild fairing up front.
Hecks yeah, maybe you'll get a Shadetree deal, they give you the bike, mod it out the way you want and then you can give it away to a charity (like Makeshift Motor Co.) LOL 😆
I had a 2019 sport glide and put 52K miles on it. It's a great bike and travels well. I'm 5'3" and didn't make any adjustments. Ana should be just fine. Enjoy the ride ladies.
When they went with the paint matched bags, I was looking hard at the Sport Glide. But, like you, I just felt too stretched out with those forward controls. I ended up on a Heritage, which I love. Heritage cluster is on the tank as well. Not really an issue to me. It will get easier, and you will have to spend less time looking down once you know exactly what you’re looking for when you do look down. Love the channel. Keep up the good content.
I've got an 18 Sport Glide, and I love it. Once you get accustomed to it, it's a blast. It is a softail but considered a mini bagger, but it does disappoint me that the 114ci isn't an option. HD is dropping the ball on that one.
I have forward controls and info cluster on the tank (Wide Glide). I LOVE forward control's and would like to see if your opinion changes once it grows on you and spend hours on the interstate. The info cluster on the tank isn't loved but it makes for a super clean/chrome handle bar area :) . Keep up the great work
Howdy. Like anything new , it takes a little getting use to. Probably after some seat time you'll feel different bought the forward controls, and the displays. All of that being said, thanks for the review. Keep up the good works. Have fun with your friend and your adventure to New York. Be safe. Billy...
I have a Night Train myself which comes with forward controls and I added pullback risers to the handlebars, so it has a very similar riding position to the Sport Glide. I can tell you it's not the best for the interstate. All of your weight is on your butt so after while it does get tiring. Unless you are fairly tall with long legs, mid controls with an engine guard and some pegs mounted to them would be much better so you can switch foot positions. As far as the tank mounted gauge goes, you get used to that in a hurry and don't even notice it.
@@HerTwoWheels been Watchin your channel for abt 6 months, (no I’m not part of the 6% that stalks you). Been riding here in Fl for 50yrs. Own an 06 springer, a lot like your Dyna, pretty basic but a good solid bike. I also own a 19 road glide, basically a 2 wheeler with lots of automotive “bells and whistles”, cruise, nav, Bluetooth, etc. You do a great job with your channel, and you have a real passion for riding. Glad to see more and more Girls out there on 2 wheels! You are an inspiration for all of them.
I have the 2021 Sport Glide in white! First thing I changed was the wind screen, now waiting for a Saddlemen seat, because the stock is so uncomfortable on long rides. I’m also adding handlebar risers and mini floorboards. It took about 1000km to feel broken in - overall I’m obsessed with this bike and the way it handles 🙌🏻🏍✌🏻
I like the over style of the bike, but I'm with you Jess on the front end. The fairing seems to be a little weird, I like the wheels and the inverted forks, but I it doesn't seem to work with that bike for some reason. I do like the gauges down low and out of sight, makes things a little less distracting for me. It's awesome that they would setup you up with a few bikes to review and ride for demos. Be safe and enjoy!
Sport Glide has a rear cylinder cut off at a certain temp so the RPMs go down. The function can be turned off with left grip pushed forward for a few seconds. EITMS
My wife tried the sport glide too. Was not a good fit. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried the heritage softail but that’s the one my wife has always went back to because of the floorboards and the riding position. Within the the first weekend my wife also put on the 1,000 mile break in and then rode it to Florida! Just saying you may not like the styling of the heritage but please give a ride and see if that’s a much more comfortable fit! Wish you and Captain Ana a safe travels and great times!
The sport glide is a great looking bike. I really like the street glide too though. My 2020 Heritage classic has the M8 107 too and I love the performance of the engine. I’m 6ft tall so the forward controls are a must for me.
I have understand your comment on the speedometer location. I have a Road King and it took me awhile to get use to it but it’s no longer a issue. I can’t wait for the Street Glide review, that’s the motorcycle I was wanting to buy when I ended up getting my Road King last year. There wasn’t any Street Glides available at the time
I feel you on the mids. My own bike is mids, with highway pegs so I can move around a bit. I find my right foot on the highway peg and my left on the mid a LOT actually... :D
I agree 💯% I have them on my wide glide. I really don't like mids. I feel cramp. That's actually my biggest problem with up grading to a bagger. I feel like my knees are in my chest. I kinda like how the seat position you on a police bike. You sit up and there is good leg room. I actually thought about ordering one. But I don't think you can get a two up seat to put on them that would be at the same height as the stock seat. The one good thing about mids is you can stand a little to help absorb the bad bumps. When you have a bad back that can cut down on the ramming your tail bone up your back. But then again a couple of Scoobies snacks also helps. Especially on them long rides.
I think the Sport Glide is an awesome compromise between touring and cruising. The quick-release saddlebags and fairing are awesome, and HD even sells a taller windscreen for the fairing if you want more wind protection. I would love to own one someday, although I agree I'm not sure about the forward controls either . . .
I own a Sportster Iron 883 with mid controls weighing in at a between 500 to 600lbs after the modifications Jess. I don’t think my legs could reach the forward controls on a sport glide. Lol. Glad you get a chance to try different bikes during your trip. Safe travels to NY.

Why shift into neutral when shutting down? Leaving it in first gear makes for a very effective parking brake and squeezing the clutch when starting the engine is always a good practice, especially since there are some bikes that will not start unless their clutch is disengaged. Some riders even shift into neutral at traffic lights. Not the safest practice if there's a cage bearing down on them from behind...they need to be sitting in first gear to enable getting out of the way if possible...at least until there's another vehicle stopped safely behind the rider for protection. That's what we teach in the MSF courses here in Washington. I enjoy your videos, great job!
Your review definitely painted a different picture than another I watched... solid points that have me, as a yet-to-be new rider want to shy away from this one. (The path to the Road Glide/Big Bagger is long, but the prize!) Appreciate that insight.
I didn't look through all of the comments (I'm sure it's in there somewhere) but you should check out what Matt Laidlaw's dealership did with a Sport Glide. They called it the "Coast Glide" and it's as trick as trick can be.. and award winning as well.
Don't know to much about the sport glide like you mentioned T bars and definitely some new mufflers would make it more desirable, I think you'll like the street glide those 3-4 hundred mile day rides seem effortless after you adapt to weight some highway pegs would be a good add on to change up your position on long rides enjoy those shiny new bikes 👌
Since YOU brought up cooking, special, much deserved props to Jordon here. For the last month I've lived in a two diet home.. mine and my bride's KETO.... You've done the Keto thing for a while, obviously. Assuming Jordon doesn't (maybe a false assumption) but two people on such different diets in one household is about to drive this meat and potatoes guy nuts. 46 years married, but this is a test! Hang in Jordon... you can make it.
Lucky girl getting two Harleys to ride 🏍️👍 I've never seen a sport glide. It's very cool looking. Yeah it should have real gas caps on both sides. It needs mini aps on it to be more comfy. Crazy groundhog 🤣. My cruisers all have had gauges like that on the tank, where u have to look down. You get used to it.
I ride a Can Am Ryker Rally but I gotta admit that I absolutely enjoy your vlog and all the elements of educational info you provide. Keep up the amazing work lady!
Your Behind will be happy with that seat ! The street Glide will be the best ride for that trip.JMO / I'm heading to Appalachia for a week tomorrow on my Ultra.I don't think my old bones could take any other Bike as far as comfort goes. Have Fun Kiddo.
33 years riding Harleys. Always shift down to first gear then snick it up to neutral. Works almost all the time. I try to do it just before I come to a stop.
First, have a safe and great ride to N.Y. Now I'm with you 100% on having to look down at the gauges. My last 4 bikes I install a GPS unit and programed it to speed. I always had a large fairing because of eating a yellow jacket on my second bike. I got used to the forward controls. As for the overall impression of the sport glide (went to see them at the local dealer) it's a good looking bike in my opinion. I want to thank you for your candid impression of the bike. I think your right on. I'm awaiting your impression of the street glide. Again have a great ride to N.Y.
Coming off the 2014 Dyna Low Rider the Sport Glide would be a bike to consider, I HATE the bags because when you open then everything can fall out. Orrr I would get a Road King but worried about the weight. I do not like forward controls, I love my Low Rider mid controls for a more sport feel.
3:18 you said street glide but looking at the sport glide I didnt even realize it at first because of the way your content just flows so well and also how you captivate us the audience! Great job, love your videos, hoping we see a road glide in your stable sooner than later wink wink!!!
I ride a Harley 1200T Sportser. It is set up with a large windshied, sissy bar and bags, but still a Sportster. It’s perfect for me! I’m 60 yo and I go solo camping. I’m able to fit all my needs and some wants on it. My only concern for your friend riding this that far on the highway is that tiny windshied 😬. Maybe she won’t mind, but I’d be hating life.
I absolutely love the SportGlide. I love the looks and the riding position. I really like how you can take the fairing and bags off super easily. And I’m so happy I waited to buy one cause of the paint matched bags. But I definitely have to agree with the gauges being to low. So that’s a bit annoying. Hope you and Anna have a safe ride and enjoy the bikes.
I have the same issue on my king with having to look completely down to look at the speedo. Fixed that with the FP3 tuner as the app give you a gauge read out screen, so with my phone on the bars I don’t have to look down at all. Great video.
I love love my Sportglide would not trade it for anything! I agree with you on the having to look down for gauges tho, feels very unsafe, that is my only complaint .
Hi! If I were you, I would loosen the four allens on the bar clamp and tip the bars up slightly. I did that on my Spyder when it was new and it made an amazing difference. Also, I hear you about the forward controls. I had them on my Softtail Custom and they really took some getting used to. They make it hard to absorb the big bumps because you can't post (horsey term) effectively when you hit them. Looks like you have a great event coming up....ryde safe and enjoy!
@2 Slow Moto Congrats! When you are looking for parts, just about all the Low Rider parts are interchangeable (something I had to learn). However, for the SG I recommend Saddlemen Explorer seat, Tab performance slip on, FP3, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, and Handle Bars depending on your height. You are going to love the bike even more!
For me forwards controls are great but they require raised handlebars leaning back and a backrest that really supports so you sit like you are in a arm chair. Hands on bars need to be 2 to 3 inches below shoulder height. I can ride like that all day. I have 2 bikes set up like that with windscreens. I could love that bike. But my bikes despite their age are like heirloom armchairs. I could never get rid of them and they are so comfortable. The biggest one will never wear out in my life time. Might need to replace a few outside bits but mechanically it will last almost forever.
I definitely agree with you about not liking forward controls. I built a chopper years ago and it cost me a bunch of money to get custom mid controls cause its not the popular thing.
I own a Road Glide Special and love it! Some advice for you I notice you don't do. Make it a habit to use your rear brake ONLY under 15mph. WhY? Because it will prevent you from jamming the front brake and the front shocks compress and losing your balance and dropping the bike during a sudden brake.
Speaking of groundhogs, I once was chased by one in a junkyard in Virginia...Had an alternator in one hand and the belt in the other hand...the belt made a passable weapon to defend myself from the irate booger.
From my experience, when you have low set bars and information dash, you adjust to learning your speed, gears etc, by feel rather from the dash on the bike over ~3 months, and find you use the desh less for info, but more for its just there if you need it.

The info cluster on the tank isn't loved but it makes for a super clean/chrome handle bar area :) . Keep up the great work
sounds like that favorable review of the Super Chief got under someones skin at the MoCo. Good on ya !
Howdy. Like anything new , it takes a little getting use to. Probably after some seat time you'll feel different bought the forward controls, and the displays. All of that being said, thanks for the review. Keep up the good works. Have fun with your friend and your adventure to New York. Be safe.
Billy...
I have a 2018 Sport Glide and love it. I have upgraded the exhaust, air intake, the fairing, the bars, and put a 21” front wheel/tire on.
Now you need to ride that street glide. Comparing it to the road glide will be easy, only difference is the fork mounted fairing.
Stay tuned! 😜
I took a 2020 sport glide for a test ride.i loved it! I like how you could just pop off the fairing and bags and just have a bare bones bike.
Out here in the West a green pump handle is diesel
🖤 Black here 🇸🇪 Sweden / Scandinavia
I have the 2021 Sport Glide in white! First thing I changed was the wind screen, now waiting for a Saddlemen seat, because the stock is so uncomfortable on long rides. I’m also adding handlebar risers and mini floorboards. It took about 1000km to feel broken in - overall I’m obsessed with this bike and the way it handles 🙌🏻🏍✌🏻
In absolutely love my 18 SportGlide, especially now with the 14” apes and Batwing mounted up now.
14" is the way to go!
Going to appreciate the forward controls about 200 miles into the trip.
Sports Glide is sharp!
When your six-foot-five forward controls are mid controls
Especially on them long rides.
i really like the sport glide, especially the looks of it. can't wait to take it for a ride.
Gd pm Jess.Congratulations for having 2 brand new 2021 Harley Davidson motorcycles. The HD company knew your best motorcycle rides and needs. Your amazing decisions..👍🤛and very calm “on snd off” the rosds. The HD red color motorcycle matches your favorite color “red” like your helmet.🥰♥️🆗The HD gray motorcycle is very nice too especially for all occassions, and so light weight I hope so to maneuver.Anyway it’s up to you Jess how you will precious all your motorcycles. Happy trip and keep safe always.🙏😇God Bless.😎🥰♥️🅰️🔔Abel
(The path to the Road Glide/Big Bagger is long, but the prize!)
Appreciate that insight.
Giant Eagle_ wow!
That was my first job back in the 70’s
Then I moved south!
No Giant Eagle in the South!
Ride Safe to New York!
We Enjoy your videos!
You should park the bike in first gear, not neutral. 😊👌🏼
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a problem finding neutral. It's a constant struggle on my Soft Tail Slim.
Smartest move Harley made was giving you a bike to ride !!! Have fun !
By a bike to woman? Smartest move? lol.
I like your honest review. I don't like it when every time someone reviews a bike they only mention the positive.
Saving my forever long Thursday afternoon! Super awesome bikes !
3:18 you said street glide but looking at the sport glide
I didnt even realize it at first because of the way your content just flows so well and also how you captivate us the audience!
Bought a white sportglide in march, best bike I've owned up to now 😁 that feet in front is the reason I bought it (I am 6ft3 though 😂)
Congratulations on the loaners ! It’s good to see Harley paying attention to the bloggers ! 👍🏻🤠👍🏻
I just purchased the 2021 Road Glide Special in the snake venom with black finish and I'm in love!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I have a 2019 Sport Glide-Headed to Wyoming from Ohio this summer!!!
Have them loan you a reach seat it makes a big difference
Sport Glide! I love mine
You are living the life! So very cool. You are one of the best.
SPORT GLIDE ALL THE WAYYY DAYMMMNNN
