That fighter plane Shinden, is in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum collection. It’s disassembled, but the museum has the all components and parts. I hope the museum will restore Shinden as soon as possible.

    Excellent podcast guys!
Some food for thought: Koichi needed to feel guilty about not having the courage to kill Godzilla as a dinosaur. Truth is, it would have just got him killed. Godzilla survived a nuke, a machine gun would've done nothing.
Noriko survived because she's infected/contaminated. She was closest to Godzilla's mouth the longest as she hung from the train & healed from her wounds just like Godzilla. Her eye was just covered (maybe mutated) not necessarily missing. The mark on her neck in the shape of Godzilla's scale shows this.

Hey guys, I saw a version of this movie that perhaps you should try out. It was not an “official” version, if you know what I mean. For the first 15 mins I thought it was meant to be the way I saw it presented, and it blew my mind that a director might take such a risk. The result of the way I got it online (prob a “cam” version) gave it a certain feel that amped up everything about the movie; I wished it was released this way. Here’s what I saw: washed out color with little “blips” and lines occasionally popping in, sound with occasional pops and clicks, especially in the silent moments. In other words it looked like a film that could have been made before, or at least in, the generation of films when the 1954 version came out. This DID NOT lessen the impact, effects, sound design at all, and in fact only enhanced it all. As you all are fans of the franchise you should check out what I’m saying. If Yamazaki had the courage to present it that way in theaters, it might have won best director Oscar. It would look like a movie made in the early 1950s by geniuses who utilized miniatures, effects and camera perspectives far beyond what anyone at the time could conceive of, yet had access to. It would have been a STATEMENT. Please check out what I’m saying here, I think you’ll like it.

As soon as Godzilla starts fighting other Kaiju, it takes the focus off of the humans and makes the human story less important so it's a big risk to try to do a sequel even if you bring back Yamazaki and keep the same tone and characters.

Yea but they don’t have to do another monster. They could have Godzilla goto another country like America and wreck shop. I think bringing in another monster would be a mistake at this point. Godzilla is the big bad in this one. He’s purposely destroying every human establishment he comes across. I took his role as one of a punisher. He’s punishing mankind for the weaponizing of nuclear power. With his powers it’s almost like he’s a biological weapon made with the purpose of resetting the planet. I don’t see why they couldn’t continue that story progression.

In addition a tip on top of your thoughtful content, The reason why Godzilla's behavior is unnatural and coming back over and over
(In the first place, Godzilla's existence exceeds the rules of physics and biology. That's why people are afraid of Godzilla.)
Godzilla is TATARIGAMI as mention Takashi Yamazaki in a interview, TATARIGAMI is a spirit (high-dimensional being) that continued to be feared even after it died a violent death as a human. There is also a theory that he is the incarnation of a heroic spirit who died during WW2. (TATARIGAMI is also depicted in Ghibli's Princess Mononoke. The black stain is common in both films.) Although TATARIGAMI is a wild spirit and is feared and shunned, if it is carefully enshrined, it can become a powerful guardian deity. They are the gods that are worshiped.
How would you describe the existence between God and living things as follows? The director and CG artists spent more than six months developing Godzilla's walking style.

Great video on the marvellous film, I enjoyed it. Just one thing. “Tokkotai” (Special Attack Squad, as Japanese very rarely say it as “Kamikaze”) is a seriously wrong tactic made under the radicalism driven military elites coupled with a line of indecisive inward governments. You may want to call the system as “stupid” and “pointless”, I agree with that. However, I don’t want you guys casually call those squads and soldiers died in “Tokkoh (Special attack)” as a Tokkotai member stupid, pointless or mad, because they were not. Some were unwillingly, true, in their hearts, and some others were willingly, as a soldier going against a massive menace, flew into the US military ships. Pleased don’t call them as just stupid. They were national soldiers in the desperate military defence, but not brainwashed or forced suicidal terrorists sent to blast civilians. Sorry if it’s got too off topic.
