    As long as Phil's in it it's UFO as far as I am concerned! There are good songs on all their albums and with all the lineups!

    UFO"s guitairts. Of course Schenker, Chapman, and then there's Atomic Tommy M. Now they have Vinnie Moore. The most uderrated band of all time.

    got into UFO in 1980 too young for the schenker golden era but listen to all their recordings all great philmogg cannot be replaced great singer i shake my head at people who deserted them when michael left no loyalty could not listen to UFO if phil was not singing he cannot be replaced schenker albums with them are the best but the others hold up too no bad recordings on any UFO albums whether it is schenk paul vinnie or the great moggway releases with frank and jeff long live UFO

    A good friend and former teacher. This is a very under rated album. Tommy is one of those rare players who combines awesome technique with style and taste.

    Phil Moog writes the best lyrics, he is one of the best british rock singer. Belladonna, Baby Blue, Rock Bottom, he a unique singer, style unique copied by so many, and his lyrics are like contemporany literature, someone has a shortsightedness criticism, chillichoper?

    @barbarajanescott - I agree. It's definitely Phil's band, and his voice and lyrics are unique. It's always best with Pete Way, of course, but this era was a good one.

    yes. atomik tommy m is underrated. i like his crunch and sneering style. there's an alienated "cyberpunk" aura to his playing, especially on the ufo tracks on which he's backed by paul raymond's keyboards. tommy managed to capture the "spirit" of ufo--a disillusioned "meanstreets" stance with a bit of a "space rock" undercurrent.

    @MetallicBill I live in San Diego & he seems to play here every year or two at a small club called Brick by Brick . I saw Uli open up for MSG & when Schenker came on Uli was standing next to me watching the show.

    @hylifter 17 лет назад +2

    Exactly! Moggs lyrics and vocals are ageless.
    "Love to Love, Light Out, Too Hot..." lyrics like that made Schenkers/Way music stand out. (Pete Way is never given credit either) You can never pinpoint Moggs era like you can with hair metal bands and other singers. No pussy voice with Phil.

    This Japanese cat is a really good player. Style and tone are dated but apropos to the time. Come on guys, stop comparing musicians. We all know there's only one Michael Schenker.

    a brief and weird incarnation, universally dreadful hair .........but MOGG ,magnificent as always . Talk is always about Schenker or Chapman , but what about the greatest voice in hard rock ?

  • @EUguitarRULE
    @EUguitarRULE 15 лет назад +1

    Lol. Before any songs came out from UFO it was always a solo and music by Michael Schenker, Michael had the idea and Phil fills in the lyrics from Schenker and Phil's own mouth. Example lights out, doctor doctor, love to love etc... sorry to hurt your feelings just telling the truth.

  • @bluerfoot
    @bluerfoot 13 лет назад

    I like the way everyone is glammed up prince style buy phil has his wife beater shirt on. Actually this has a real sound of the say 1981 ufo and is a great song. But the shredder stuff is a big no go, and they (shredders always sound like they are using 8's on their strings (which they probably are).

    mogg's lyrics are good--for rock and roll. but he's no bob dylan or even a phil lynott. what mogg does best is to take cliches--a pinch of van morrison here, a bit of springsteen there--and blend them into an appetizing "stew."

  • @UncleMarky
    @UncleMarky 15 лет назад +1

    This line up Phil Mogg had at this time was great. I really liked that album. However it was so far away from what we know as UFO. This band really should of had it's own name.
    Or he could have went by his own name, we all know him. Phil Mogg.
    It was silly to use UFO's name for this band.
