    I heard somewhere that it’s better just to add new water, because changing it would dilute the rooting hormones in it

      Exactly ❤ I also gently massage the roots/buds to promote the release of rooting hormones. (If I remember) once I move the propagations I save some of the water and use it to water my other plants, all my pothos have crazy long roots bc of that lol

    No flowers though, they take energy away from the plant

      I learnt this the hard way 😅 I'm a newbie and my partner accidentally broke off a segment of my new Christmas cactus that had a bud on it and I freaked out and put it into the water bud and all and for two weeks I had this tinnnny piece of root that just looked more plant, not a root. I pulled off the flower about a week ago and my cutting has three really healthy looking roots so far in only a few days!

      @@bhumphries1360 because they don't observe the leaves and its "horns"... which are rounder in the Christmas cactus, those of the Thanksgiving cactus are more pointed

    Once they have roots just plant in soil?

    • @SucculentsBox
      @SucculentsBox  Месяц назад

      Yes!
      Plant the rooted cutting in a well-draining potting mix. Water the soil lightly, being careful not to overwater and place it in bright, indirect light.

    What does Leve then callous mean?

    • @SucculentsBox
      @SucculentsBox  3 месяца назад

      It would stimulate the formation of new root cells in some cases, allowing the cutting to take root more easily.

      leave them to dry for a few days so the cut can heal.
