Just wanted to thank you for answering everyone's questions in the comments! Not many creators take the time to provide curated answers for each question asked. Someone said I had root rot and I mistakenly cut off the top of my cactus and replanted the top. Turns out the bottom was healthy and grew a bunch of pups, so after watching this, I'll be getting my pups going finally.
That's really kind of you to say. It is our pleasure to help everyone in caring for their plant. Thank you so much for following us. I hope everything is going well with your plants!!
Wow short to the point yet fun to watch thank you for not turning a 2 minute video into 20 minutes
Thanks for following us.
Straight forward, without any filler "fluff"..... perfectly done.
Thank you for your support!
Also with some after shot of the roots to show the method actually works. Thank you! New subscriber today!

Very helpful and clear. Thank you.
Thank you for you kind words!
Using Cutting propagation such as in 3:06, will the original cactus regrow its cut portion, or will it forever be scarred that way? I ask not to propagate, but because I'd like to get a blue candle cacti but keep it a small size for indoor use. I'm thinking cutting it may way, if it regrows properly. Thanks for any reply, I'm very new to the hobby so excuse my ignorance.
Very informative! Thank you

hi! great video! i have a question my thimble cactus looks similar to the one in the video and its top is ridgy and weird and it also seems to have way less spikes too unlike its full bottom. is that normal? and how is that caused?
Very nice sharing ❤️ love from Assam ❤️
Thank you so much 😊
Good video.
Thank you so much
hi I love your videos but can you advise how or where to get "the start" are by seeds? sorry I just starting in this hooby love it
Thank you for your video! You said “Once the roots mature” after you’ve misted the top when it’s dry, how do you know when the roots have matured before you can begin watering?
Very nice video :)) I have a question. How long does it take until the freshly planted pad grows new pads or just grows? I was given a pad a few months ago (like 3 or so). I checked and it actually developed a lot of roots, but it hasen´t changed its outer look. It´s just a single lonely pad in a pot. Does that change at some point and if it does, when does that happen? I´m so excited about it and can´t wait ;)
Hi Elena, with pad propagation, they can grow new pads within 2-3 months under proper care ^^
very usefull and very important ❤️❤️
Glad you think so!
I'm trying this now.
Great! Let's show us the result then
awesome now want some cuttings to plant .....

Yay thank you! I have a cactus, her name is Susan, and she's sooooo tall that she's starting to lean sideways. I'm rlly scared she's gonna tip over so I'm gonna give her a trim! Now I'll have two Susan's!! Twosans? Twosans.

hi! i have an Astrophytum asterias cutting-- due to removing the root part infected with rot. may i ask if i could also plant it after 2-3 days just like in cutting propagation or should i wait more? atm, it's around 2 and a half days drying and it's just a little bit soft but the cut part is fully dry now
Ganda ng video ♥️
maraming salamat ♥️ Thanks a lot ^^
@@SucculentsBox ay Tagalog. Hahaha. More power ♥️
What if I am cutting a long rooted plant in two and they each still have roots. What should I do for a cacti that don't grow pads. This on grew laying down.
thnk you
our pleasure
How do you propagate the round cactus with no off shoots or leaves?
❤
이쁘네요
응원합니다
Thank you so much! You made our day!
My cactus is mostly dead, but there one seemingly healthy offshoot, should I propagate this or what should I do?
So pad nerds to dry for 1-2 days before putting it into The soil , right? Doesn’t matter what type of cactus it is?
The last cactus that you cut, you can also get pups from the bottom that is still rooted in the soil. Sprinkle some cinnamon or sulfur powder to prevent fungus. Or just allow it to naturally callous by itself. Leave it still rooted down in the soil. And it will send out offshoots in due time.
Yeah that exactly what we did, move to 3:34 and you'll see ^^
Thank you for your video, appreciate all the info less than 5 minutes 👍👍 now I know what to do with my pad type cactus. One question: what would be the possibilities that the pad "bow " itself after planting into the soil ?
Hi, thank you for your compliment! About your question, is it correct that you're asking about cactus pad drooping or falling over after being planted into the soil?
@@SucculentsBox I planted into the soil. A while later it bowed down although still standing. I took out to see any root rot but there's no root yet.
@@alphaend5045 Some of the leading causes behind a drooping cactus are: watering issues (overwatering or underwatering), too big container, weak roots/root rot, pest infestation, or lack of sufficient sunlight. So probably you should check your care routine to see exactly what's happening to your cactus!
@@SucculentsBox alright, thanks.
@Arina Ternovska thanks.
Video good you again viet nam thank you
Thank you so much!
❤❤❤❤
What happens to the 'stump' of the cactus you used for the cutting propagation? Will the cut end close up, or will it always have a flat spot?
Hi, thank you for an interesting question. The stump won't close up, it'll remain the same and will callus over. However, with proper care, the stump can grow new pups from the cut point (at 3:34)! In addition, you can also have fun with grafting and create a new cactus!
I propagated my cactus by cutting, to shorten it, following your instructions. It rotted and died 😢
