Thank you! This video is very helpful.
Awesome tips!!! I have a whole shelf that I plan to fill with succulents. I started with 3 but the other two died of root rot. So I'm being extra careful with this last one and if it survives until next month, I'll get another one and slowly build up from there. 😊
Don't worry, even the most experienced gardeners also fail in the first time. Hope your next babies will grow healthy and gorgeous ❣
Very informative, thank you!

Thank you. Very easy and excellent information. You have saved many lives/succulents. Mine were probably root rotting. Mushy bottoms and lots of dead leaves under the plants.
I didn't know about them holding water. Thank you for an informative video.
Oh we are so sorry to hear that. We wish the best for you and your planting journey.

😘Hi guys,
Your youtube channel is amazing. I love watching every minute of it, so helpful. I learned a lot about succulents from you. This has totally changed the way I care for succulents and inspired me to start my succulents nursery in Australia.

Great work 💪
you may give it a go 😎
Thank you! So informative. Succulents are my new babies but it's taken some time to work out how to care for them. I'm used to looking after leafy soft plants that let you know what they want in a much more obvious way 😊
Next ones I'm going for are Cacti🤞 😊
Clear cut explanation. Tq.👌
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're producing more informative content like this so stay tuned!
Great video!!! THANKS 😊
Thank you so much 😍
Plant them in gravel, pumice, lava rock... Ext it makes it very difficult to get root rot. And easy for air to get to the roots.
Really useful!! Thanks :D
You're welcome!
Thank you for the tips! I was doing it wrong for the last three years!
Hope it could help
Thank you I have a better understanding of what to do

I stupidly though that pots with drainage holes were a dumb idea! Definitely getting some immediately!
We have full of pot collections for you on our website: succulentsbox.com/collections/succulent-pots 🤗
Just have my succulents arrived 2 days ago. I just put a table spoon of water each on all 6 mini pots. Now I know that I don't need to water them often. Thanks for the great info 👍🏻

Glad it was helpful! We're so lucky to have you
@Succulents Box oh thank you!! quick question i’m noticing that my succulent leaves are like falling apart like they’re pretty fragile they’re in a pretty green color as normal but idk why are that sensitive i didn’t pour water to it in 2 days cause the soil wasn’t dry and yesterday i did but i don’t know what’s going on 🥺
@@valeriabustamante5216 you should only water your succulents once every 2-3 weeks, maybe you’re overwatering them!
EXCELLENT video ! Thanks you for making these wonderful videos -- they are extremely helpful and informative ! 🪴🪴🪴
Thank you! So glad to hear
Thank you this helped a lot
Glad it helped !!
I absolutely loved and enjoyed this Video !! It actually was, the very first one that popped up when I wrote in what I was looking for. And honey, you and your advise was,Spot On and Exactly, what I was needing to know. Alot of times you may have to, spread your research through 2-3 different Videos just to get an answer for 1 of your questions. Great job creating and putting this together honey. I want to share something with you quickly that even I got a kick out of. I just Celebrated my 66th Birthday on Earth Day actually and I received a Beautiful Planter Full of Different Species of Succlant's . I just adore it but I have never had them before and actually I just lost one I bought a few months ago just to see if I could possibly, get it to grow big and beautiful. Well, Lol, within a matter of day's, it had, DIED!! The Moral of this story and funny part as well is, I owned and operated my Own Landscaping Company for alittle over 35+ year's. I had to laugh at myself actually when I realized that I had somehow let it die. But I should have Reserched them before and watched your Video. Because honey again thanks for sharing your knowledge of some very simple and important things to keep my Beautiful Succulents Alive and Well from here out. I will definitely be watching and waiting for more helpful tip's and information from you. I'am now, your biggest fan
So lovely! Thank you so much for your sharing 🥰
I really needed this video today.. I just over watered my succulent plant .. Thanks for making this🙂
You’re welcome 😊
wow nice sharing
Thank you glad you like it!
Thank you. I have gone through a couple of stages in regard to a succulent collection. A few years ago I collected a few but really didn't have a good enough knowledge of how to keep them. They all eventually died. This time I've done my homework and I'm determined to look after them properly. Thank you for the information here, it was very useful
Thanks! Glad you like it
Thank you for fee really good tips, like seeing roots are white, and not using a spray bottle , thank you once again!

Thank you for this video i used spray this past few days dont use it anymore thank you👍🙂
Hi Yolanda, so glad that you found it useful, hope your succulents grow well
How could anyone dislike this video? Guess you can't please everyone. Anyway, the video was I think very helpful, expecially for beginning succulent growers. Now that I understand about root rot and the succulent concept and their survival metabolism, all this stuff about watering make a lot of sense. I bought an Perle von Nurnberg the other day in a very small grower's pot. I'm just wondering,
should I pot up, or wait a few days until it acclimates to its new location? I'm an avid subscriber, BTW and enjoy your no nonsense good information.
Hi Dale, thank you so much for your kind words! You gave us motivation to produce more informative video! About your concern, it is actually a good idea to repot your newly purchased plants as soon as you can. Make sure that you do use well-drained potting mix!
How do you do these illustrations? That adds so much value - really enjoyed your video! 💚🌿
thank you so much for your kind words, Marlene 😻 all the credits go to our team, I'll make sure that they know you're cheering for them!

Thank you for the tips! I accidentally started a collection after finding a whole rack of them on clearence. I'm a little nervous about caring for them.
Glad we could help! Let us know if you have any questions.
좋은정보 good~done
Thank you so much. Glad you like it
Ive just built a single 18" pot of about 40-50 various succulents. It's in a large north facing window. Very bright but no direct sun.
I've just settup a grow light and now stressed about setting up a water schedule.
Thanks for the vid. ... I was under the impression that succulents liked to be sprayed/misted, and part of me thought that regular misting could be a substitute for direct watering.
Glad you like our video
Ok, so last year, i bought two kalanchoe plants. They were really healthy with leaves and a ton of flowers. But going into spring/summer, that's when i struggled with these plants. One of them is losing its bottom leaves and is curling inward. What would this indicate?? I dont believe i am overwatering it, but im also being careful that I dont underwater. Any ideas?
❤❤❤
Mashallah
Hey, thank you for your video!
Do you have a recommendation for the soil mix? I only use Clay granules, but I have the feeling, that they dry out too fast
Hi there, this is the recipe we're using: perlite (pumice), sand, potting soil in 1:2:3 ratio. However, growing succulents in clay granules is an alternative way of growing these plants by imitating their arid natural habitat! As you're using clay granules, we suggest you keep it that way and see how it goes.
I need that water bottle 😻
You definitely can get one Renee! It's on our website and here is the link: succulentsbox.com/collections/succulent-tools/products/watering-bottle-500ml
Nice video ..
Thanks
Most welcome.
I sub your channel.
My sister bought my mom one and I was going to initially use a spray bottle but after watching this, I found a small but thick blunt tip syringe? Not sure if it’ll be ok with the metal and all but I’m going to dry it out after each use. Not sure if I need to invest in one of those squeeze bottles.
Great tip, especially on tip 3! My mum likes using spray bottle to water the succulents and I told her it's not really good as water sitting on plant will do more damage. Brought the squeeze bottle few days ago and told her to use that in the future. Hopefully she'll be convinced using that.
One question to ask if you do come across, I would ask here, or maybe in a newer video; As I am keeping ornamental fishes as hobby, I always use the aquarium water to water my mom's plants since it's loaded with fish poo and nitrates, which acts as natural fertilizer for plants. Will that water be suitable to use it on succulents?
Thank you
Hi there! It's a late reply but I don't see any answers for you. Yes, that's great to use, but not with every watering. Some succulents benefit a lot from fertilizer, especially in their growing periods after dormancy. Other succulents don't need fertilizer as much, or could even get chemical shock.
Source: I'm a content writer for succulent blogs and information sheets and I've spent way too many hours studying things like this.
My mom just bought me 3 succulents and I already LOVE them! I am watching loads of videos so I don’t let them die and to take care of them. My room doesn’t get much direct sunlight, is it still okay to keep them in my room? I’ll keep them by my window if that helps.❤️🌵
Hi there, does your room get enough sunlight for succulents to thrive? It is recommended to place them in your balcony or on the window sill!
Thank you so much actually I bought my succulent plant yesterday I was watering them using spary 😂
You’re welcome 😊 It's okay to use the spray bottle but make sure that you switch it to the string mode!
Ok
Great video with great info!
Not a huge fan of having all the background music, just not needed. Overstimulating.
This was soooo helpful. All the nursery guy told me was "little water, once in a while"
I didn't know how much and how frequently.
Also, I used to spray on the leaves and that's left patches. Is there anyway I could clean them off without wetting them?
You could try using a q-tip to clean the leaves, but if the spots have dried out, it'd be hard to remove them without wetting them.
Great tips, my problem is overwatering. Need to hold back on giving to much water.
You can do it. Good luck!
@@SucculentsBox Thanks! :))
Love you
Love you too!💚💚💚💚
Hello I love your channel so much! I just got my first succulents today and they are so adorable ( Fiona and Jet) yes I named then lol and I’m nervous that I’m going to accidentally kill my babies so I’m binge watching your videos and they help me know what to do if they get sick! 🤍🌱🍃
It's really kind of you to say, and I'm glad it was helpful. I hope everything is going well with your succulents.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi this video was so helpful i have two succulents and a moon cactus and for my succulents well i learned a lot that i was doing wrong such as watering and drainage. So thank you very much for these videos!
Also should i repot my plants or change the soil ive never done it and im scared i might kill them since the one im worried about has been in the same soil for nearly a year.
If your succulents are growing well and there is still enough space for them to spread, it's not necessary for you to repot. But if they start to outgrow its pot/ have grown offsets or babies, etc. then it's time.
You can take a look at our blog for more details: succulentsbox.com/blogs/blog/p-strong-how-to-report-succulents-3-important-steps-you-shouldn-t-miss
Hope it can assist you well ❣
@@SucculentsBox my moon cactus's roots are starting to poke out the soil does that mean I should repot or is it fine how it is.
@@The.Beyhive Yep! I think it's time to repot yours
@@SucculentsBox Ok Thanks🙂🙂
How fast should the soil dry out? I have 2 kinds of pots. The ones with multiple smaller drain holes now 2-3 days post watering read "normal " at the bottom, dry at the middle and dry + at the surface (where your scale is dry +, dry, normal, wet and wet +) The other pots only have a single larger hole and the moisture meter is showing them as having areas that read "wet +" at the bottom up to "wet" in the middle and "normal" at the surface. Is that too long to read as wet + at the very bottom of the pot? Right now I have them outside and our weather has been running warm- highs of 85°F. I don't know how dangerous that much moisture is- should I give up and repot them in different pots or is that not wet enough to panic about? I don't know if I should just give up on the single hole pots all together.
M a beginner started with leafs of succulent it looks just like in ur thumbnail i started with putting some leaves in water ( leaves started floating on water), some in soil( just on top of soil sprayed water and left in light). The water petals showed mch faster progress then in soil, leafs in water had many white roots while in the soil they dont hav any yet, would it be best if i let them grow in water? Cuz u said overwatering isnt good and may cause harm by rotting of roots
