How awesome you can teach your son this in the same time, used to do with with my mother but she woukd never explain anything so didn't learn much more just did, how fantastic x
Good timing to watch this video as I have a good size cactus which has pups , I’m a new chum with cactus , so this is going to be helpful. Love the little bloke 😀 he’s very funny and entertaining
Hahaha your son is so funny, I’m learning but I almost feel like I’m watching a sketch show 😆 do you think larger cactuses would be ok in a very warm/sunny cemented area? I haven’t had much luck with other plants there as it’s too hot…
i know im asking randomly but does anyone know a way to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost my login password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
@Bentley Emory thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and im trying it out now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Does the pup need to be growing on the mother plant for a certain amount of time before propagation or can we just pluck it off whenever we feel like it?
Gonna propogate my cacti soon! so by watering for a week, you mean that you keep watering them for a week or you water them every week? I'm kinda confused about that sorry. Great video though! very informative
wow.. my cactus hasn't donw anything for years. it almost died. I put it out sida ll summer long and not it looks like it could develop pups. next year. thanks for the tips. left a like
I think my cactus is set up for failure. When it was given to me it was in a mason jar that was ALWAYS wet and when I repotted it I didn't cut off the roots. I put it in direct sunlight because it had been in a dark room most of it's life and it's offshoots and pups were growing thin and spindly. It turned white and I brought it back inside. I looked online and it told me that over exposure to sun requires watering so I did that and now the whole thing is mushy. I'm so upset and this is my first time taking care of a cactus.
That's some kind of echinopsis. ABSOLUTELY NO WAY that's a golden barrel. They look ACTUALLY round with yellow spines quite heavy. Some of my suppliers get names wrong and I identify them correctly.
I originally clicked on this for the education. Kept watching bc the kid is entertaining. Thank you
Thanks! 😀 glad you enjoyed
i stayed because he said “this mammagamma”

Your channel will be more popular when your adorable son is around.
I am excited for him to start appearing in more this summer :)
this is hopefully a life saver, my moms friend just gave me some cacti to propagate
Good luck! 🍀
Fun video. We’re in AZ. That’s not a golden barrel cactus. It might be a baby saguaro cactus. Still educational and a great tip.
Echinopsis Tubiflora also known as “Hedgehog” cactusses.

Lol I bought an on sale cactus that had about 17 pupa growing out of where the spikes usually grow on the top. So 18 cactus’s for 8 dollars
Quick question: if you cut, do you need to wait for them to dry over and then plant then from the callous up, or wait for the callous to root?

Excellent video. Thank you!..
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching
Ive got 1 cutting directly off the plant not in the soil that doesn't have any roots will it still grow roots if I plant it?
Yes, the same principles apply to any cutting off of the cactus 🌵 thanks for watching!
@@ExpeditionHomestead your welcome 😊 I already planted it
@@ExpeditionHomestead ps ill probably be watching a ton of your videos soon
thank you !!!!!!!!! im so excited aaaaa
Does the pup need to be growing on the mother plant for a certain amount of time before propagation or can we just pluck it off whenever we feel like it?
As long as it’s about an inch or bigger then you’ll be set, any smaller and you can start to see some troubles with them

Awesome! Thank you!

Thank you for the tips for us❤️🙏
My pleasure 😊
Cutie boy 😘 and behave to father 😘🤩🤩

The boy ❤😘😘😘
What kind of cactus are they because I see you’re touching the spines

Love your videos.😺
Nice. Thank you.....
This is helpfull video.we created a channel about houseplant recently 🌷
9 months later, how they doing?
Is it safe for the newly planted pups to receive full sunlight?
I usually wait 5-7 days before giving full sun
@@ExpeditionHomestead thank you!
So how much did you pay for that at the garage sale? So lucky.
I got one today double size for $20
I think its a Echinopsis tubiflora 😎
Looks pretty dang close if you’d ask me! Thanks
??? If the mom froze and died can i propagate the pups???
If the mother froze then it’s likely that the pups have too, if not then absolutely! 🪴
@@ExpeditionHomestead thank you. I'll try and let you know
I like that you’re short and to the point, but I can’t subscribe because kids annoy me.
😂 thanks haha we’ve got about 400 other videos without kids but I appreciate the view nonetheless
Let him help you 💫
Echinopsis, lobivia species. Cute son .🙏
Thank you! I could never find what species it was.

Your son is adorable, but was an avoidable distraction.
Ummm cacti are succulents ...
Technically yes, but not all succulents are cacti 🌵
