    Hahaha your son is so funny, I’m learning but I almost feel like I’m watching a sketch show 😆 do you think larger cactuses would be ok in a very warm/sunny cemented area? I haven’t had much luck with other plants there as it’s too hot…

    Lol I bought an on sale cactus that had about 17 pupa growing out of where the spikes usually grow on the top. So 18 cactus’s for 8 dollars

    Quick question: if you cut, do you need to wait for them to dry over and then plant then from the callous up, or wait for the callous to root?

    Does the pup need to be growing on the mother plant for a certain amount of time before propagation or can we just pluck it off whenever we feel like it?

    • @ExpeditionHomestead
      @ExpeditionHomestead  2 года назад +1

      As long as it’s about an inch or bigger then you’ll be set, any smaller and you can start to see some troubles with them

  • @ViccolasHavoc

    I think my cactus is set up for failure. When it was given to me it was in a mason jar that was ALWAYS wet and when I repotted it I didn't cut off the roots. I put it in direct sunlight because it had been in a dark room most of it's life and it's offshoots and pups were growing thin and spindly. It turned white and I brought it back inside. I looked online and it told me that over exposure to sun requires watering so I did that and now the whole thing is mushy. I'm so upset and this is my first time taking care of a cactus.
