The Mercedes E63S AMG is one of the most powerful luxury sedans out there, featuring a 4.0L Twin turbo V8 churning out over 600hp, this leather and carbon fiber filled rocketship is an absolutely beast of a car. Perfect in nearly every way...except for one major flaw that really compromises the car. Check out the review of this German monster! Would you take one over a F90 BMW M5 for a daily driver?

Are people not aware that these are the optional ricaro racing seats and the standard seats are crazy comfortable

It's a very capable car. I actually drove it on track last year and was very impressed - the savage straight line performance and grip through the corners is amazing. The only thing is due to the weight, the tyres heat up pretty quickly, so you can only do so many laps.

His reviews are not bad at all, I just can’t think of aby reason I would watch his reviews unless he was to review a car that no one else has reviewed. He’s slightly monotone, is a normal person with no real personal flaws that would make him more interesting to watch like say Matt Maran who is like an awkward little girl when he gets excited although I don’t know how well his channel is doing these days either

Is there another seating option for this car? Those don't look like the ones with massage. Is the other option more comfortable? I'm asking because I'm looking into buying a real Mercedes AMG that isn't going to set me back 200 gs and I have a bad back and neck. Is there a more comfortable AMG that isn't much more expensive?

Trying decide between this and like low mileage used '16 or '17 S63 AMG. Besides performance difference im liking S63 a little more
Glad you mentioned the ride quality - this should not have been the case with an Airmatic setup. It also exacerbates the fact that the chassis is not quite stiff enough. Note that the AMG GT 4 door chassis is based on the E63, but it’s reinforced.

Out of curiosity, the car as said in the video had winter tires on it, but the rims are indeed the 20 inch AMG rims right? Just want to confirm this since I have one coming in a month and would like to save money by just buying the tires from a third party to fit on the 20 inch AMG rims rather than buying 19 inch rims and tires from Mercedes which is very expensive lol

yeah, just the front roof opens. The other is more of a moonroof.
Are the badges OEM?
These as a wagon are the best all around cars for performance, luxury and utility. Once the depreciation hits and they do get into the $60-70K range in a few years as you stated they are very hard to beat in terms of value. Great review!

Haha this didn't age very well, but I'm not blaming you no one would have known, that 2022 AMGs would get cancelled, covid, supply issues. Anyway the wagons specifically, especially last year 2021, a 2020 wagon was going for no less then 120K and the face lifted 2021s were 140K+. I had a sedan and I regret not getting the wagon, I would have made money selling it in 2022.

They did a good job with the exterior and interior styling of this new generation. When it comes to BMW and MB I've been more on the BMW side, don't have one lol, but I've had the 335i coupe in my mind for years. And may still get one one day, but looking at the more recent BMW's it's ridiculous that almost nothing has changed interior wise or exterior for that matter. The exterior in my opinion, though unchanged for the most part, still has a classic look whereas the previous generation of MB of this category never looked good to me. That changed with this generation. If I could afford it I would get the C43 AMG Coupe over any 3 or 4 series BMW. That's if we're talking up to date cars. Still love 335i (i don't think i could deal with an M3). It just blew my mind that you could get a 2019 BMW and pull up next to someone with a 06 and have relatively the same interior. There's been very minor things changed but it's basically the same and these cars aren't cheap man. But the interior of the C43 AMG (with the exception of that huge bezel monitor) makes BMW look like a budget car.

Man I just don’t understand why people always hate on the upgraded brake system offerings of high end cars. Theses are very powerful and heavy cars that need braking systems to match. I drive an F80 M3 with the carbon ceramic brake option and I’ve never in my 3 years of driving it said man, I really wish I had shittier brakes. Smh

It’s a fast benz boy, i have one and i would never buy anything else. Except for next time i would get the air suspension. And yeah always aim for the comfortable seats with full package( heated/ ventilated , massage ..) not sporty ones..

Roads in Michigan and New York, for that matter, suck. Roads in Florida much better for e63. I found e63 in comfort mode and panamera GTS sport suspension is very similar. Never find it "harsh" in Florida.

its sounds sexy and scary , it looks scary and familiar , interior from another dimension , why not and dont forget this car its stiffer than an m5 cp , that means a lot about the pourpose of the car , amg where sold at beging just for the engine and raw power ,and amg its ofering every thing posible in the market now days ,this is the most fun sedan to drive and also more hardcore,this is the stiffest suspension mercedes ever used on a sedan ,and its more sporty than an m5 cp, but the engine is one and only reason why should buy , its just agresive and it pumps andrenaline like no other sedan for now

These are the worst seats for the E63. You also lose ventilation and massage features, and you pay more. MB is making a ton of margin on these sports seats.

One thing f90 m5 does better is the ride is much more comfortable than e63s. Unless you get a m5 comp.

Dump the racing seats and get the standard seat, way better ride quality.
Regular seats don't effect the stiffness of the suspension. It might be a cushier seat but the car still rides really hard

Nothing looks like an s class, the c looking like an e class i can kind of understand for someone who doesnt really know what theyre talking about. Also, lots of cars alike have optional seating options. His complaint is not exclusive to the E63s

This car’s design is bland whereas the F90 M5 is interesting to look at i.e flared arches, sharp angles and contours, lines etc just overall a better looking car.
When it comes to the interior the E63 looks better

I like this E63 a lot, but I think the W212 looks & sounds better! It was when an E Class was an E Class! It didn't look like a big C Class or a shrunken S Class! It stood alone! Just a gorgeous piece of machinery!

Seats being that stiff are a no go for me. Especially for this type of car. Harsh ride for the daily driver? Misses the mark. I'd rather get a slightly older S class (2014+) and an M2. If I have to lease one car I'd rather get an X6M instead of this.

Even with standard seats you wouldn't fix the ride quality.
If I lived somewhere with nice and smooth roads, I wouldn't mind it one bit. But in that case I'd be dailying a GT3 haha. I complained about it because for this kind of money, it shouldn't be that bad. An rs7 is a previous generation car on air suspension, and has very impressive performance, but in comfort mode the ride is excellent

The easiest way to tell the difference (from the front) is that the c class only has 1 line of the daytime LED, the e class has 2 lines and the s class has 3

The fake exhaust tips are inexcusable on a car costing that much.
Real pipes are behind, they aren't so fake as some. I've heard that it helps to keep them clean and also with sound diffusion from the round piece inside.

I have an F90 M5 and I would chose the M5 every time. I would however argue the E63s sounds better, but that’s where it ends for me.
E63s sounds way better on the inside of the cabin M5 sounds more artificial on the inside. but honestly after hearing both on the outside the e63s didn’t rly sound that good the M5s exhaust made a better note in my opinion.

I have driven both of these cars bro.
The only advantage the Mercedes has is the exhaust note and the extra torque.
The f90 BMW looks better, has a quieter cabin, rides better, the seats are way more comfortable, steers better and the handling is quite a bit better too. Brakes are a bit stronger also.
The interior is not as bling as the Mercedes but the materials used are of higher quality and are more solid to the touch.
Also, the auto is so much smoother operating in the BMW also
The 9 speed in the AMG is a cracking transmission when you want performance but driving it easy is a bit jerky.

Naw! The previous CLS63 and E63 had same drivetrain and very few buyers went for the CLS63. That's why MBZ dropped CLS63.

@@E55KEV they made a CLS63 shooting brake remember that? So the CLS63 Sold well too I live in areas you speak of and CLS is probably 3 to 1 on the E. I think Mercedes didn't want to hurt the sales of that ugly AMG 4 door thing so they left the CLS63 out to give that thing a chance.
