THANK YOU CASSIY! I got my first sale today! I was SO excited. This video brought me peace of mind. I started Nov 18, 2023. Found a niche, made 22 shirts and then I realized I used the wrong px. So I had to redo all my shirts. I finished last night and this morning I heard the cha-ching. I will be donating my first profits to you. I will eventually pay for your course with the money I make. You deserve it. I just don't have the means yet.
There are many YT videos about selling POD through companies like Printful, Printify, but NO ONE ever talks about the involvement of dealing with custom services. Could you shed some light on this? For instance, do you have to handle in person when there are return requests from the customers after receiving their orders? Where does the return go? Does it go to your home? Who is paying for the return shipping? What if you and the customer are not even in the same country? Anyway, after watching so many Printful/Printify videos, I have absolutely ZERO clue how the customer services are handled and by WHOM because no one has talked about it. (If you happen to know a video like that, please let me know, thanks!)
Here is a link to a video I did all about returns and exchanges with Printify! Hope you find it helpful! ruclips.net/video/J8MVU8OxryM/видео.html&feature=shareb
Cassiy-thank you so much for information. Your mini course for how to connect Esty and Printify was just what I need. Your easy to follow directions and explanation was so helpful. I had created several designs in Printify but couldn’t figure how to connect the store. Thank you again for your information. I’m a new subscriber and I’m slowly going through your old videos to gather all your knowledge and expertise. Hoping to open my store Sept. 1st. May you have continued success in your shop and RUclips channel.🎉🎉 🎉
Love you videos, where do you have a video that actually shows us step-by-step how to design in canva and bring over to Printify to get to our etsy store
Really like your videos. I am starting out, will definitely be watching more of your content and most likely looking into your course as well. Thank you for providing videos that are straight forward, doesn't promise anything and isn't contradicting.

Cassity, I appreciate your all your information. I think I was ahead of myself and already completed some steps but I did have difficulty connecting Printify with Etsy and you made that supper easy.

Newbie to digital product selling and beginner in this platform and your tutorial and free session are really super helpful for us, especially beginners! Thank you so much!!! especially to the coupon.
To make sure I understand this right, instead of you using the money from etsy to pay for your printing shop, because you don't know how long that would process...you would need to have funds already accessible to cover the customers purchases. Once you build up enough sales then you can use the etsy money for the printing company....correct?
Hi there, my name is Chanice and I am a mother of 9 kids under 18.we been friends for a while on Facebook and I am so proud to see what you have built for your children. I recently started an etsy store as well as signed up for Amazon KdP .I have 9 days to make 1900 or we will be locked out of our apartment is there any advice u can give me on how to get sales going?
Thank you Cassiy, had my first pod order for a poster image and realized I didn't have the credit card added or the other things for the back end automation of my shop set up, I do now!!
I just started following you last week. I am watching your tutorial and I wanted to know, for your order approval you stated that you set it for automatic for a single charge per day. What is the best time of day to set the automatic approval for? This is super informative and full of golden nuggets for a novice like myself. Thank you so much.🎉 Cheers, Tee
Yes paid ads on Etsy are a great way to get information faster on your listings. If you get no views, then your thumbnail and design may not be competitive enough. If you get clicks but no sales, then your pricing or photos may need some work for example.
I am so freaked out and I'm following step by step and somehow I am publishing listings thanks only to YOU! I know I need to redo my entire store but thanks for getting me off the pot!!!! (you know the old saying lol) You really are amazingly helpful!
Hi Cassiy, Pleeeese could you do an interview video with RUclipsr 'Natalie', her Etsy POD story and growth is MINDBLOWING!! She has to be one of, if not the, fastest growing Etsy POD shops I've come across. PS she mentions you as being one of her mentors in her video.
Thanks for sharing this, I hadn't seen her video yet but I went and found it! I commented on there inviting her on for an interview so we will see if she reaches back out
Totally fine to offer multiple product types in your store but ideally I'd recommend starting with just one product type until you start seeing success with it!
Hi Cassiy, Question, I am confused on why you have a credit card on file with printify, when they take their portion of their fee from the customer when an order is placed? 🤔 That's what happened to me. I don't have a credit card on file. Your videos are great btw 😊
When someone places an order~Printify recognizes and gets right to work so it is first taken from your credit card before Etsy pays you...hope this helps...I'm new to all this myself but I have read a lot of comments ... the comment sections are good to learn from also especially if you see several people saying the same thing!
I don’t know if you will see this, but i am gonna ask anyway😄 How does printify work with you paying them? Do you need to pay in advance for the orders? (Because maybe you don’t get as many orders aa you thought you would🤔)
You just pay for the orders as you get them! So the customer buys, you then pay Printify, they print the item and ship it to the customer 🔥 then Etsy pays you what the customer paid minus the Etsy fees. Eventually you get paid the next day but when you’re new you are on payment reserves where they don’t send all of the payment until the item ships so there is a slight delay.
You can put a bunch of time and some money in without making any sales sure, but it wouldn't be lots. Let's say you created 300 products for sale on Etsy, they cost .20 each to list. So that's $60. Then you need design software, that's $12/month but if you use my link in the description you can get that for free for a month. You also need some mockups, let's say you spend $20 on those. You would be in for around $100 at this point if you were open for two months, made 300 listings and made no sales. But you would only need 15-20 sales to pay that off, and hopefully in those 300 listings, you would learn a lot and get sales. But no it's not risky like you need to spend hundreds and you might not get back anything in return. Hope that helps!
Hi, thank you it was helpful but I have a question, i am in afghanistan and want to sell and ship handmade items from afghanistan, but payment is not availible in afghanistan, can my uncle in norway set up an etsy account for me and i do the listings and others. And isnt that a problem to log in from two different locations? Thanks.
Omg! What do I do? I was playing around creating stuff and I just sold a phone case on etsy. What do I do now??? Do I have to add money to my store so they can start the order for the customer? Heeeelp!
Hi Cassiy thank you for your videos, just got a quick question…..so, let’s say I already got my mockup and my design. Do I need to upload my finish products to printify or just Etsy? I don’t know if I’m explaining my self
So you will upload your design to Printify, then publish it to Etsy! That way Printify has all the info they need to fulfill the order once someone orders it. Here is a link to my free mini course that walks through the listing process if you haven't taken it before! www.cassiyjohnson.com/etsypodlaunchguide
Hi Cassie, Thank you so very much for this video. I am a new beginner also, with no experience so this really helped. My question though is: How now do I set up the Etsy part along with the printify? I am stuck. I've uploaded my pixel/ designs to Etsy but filling out that part is like a language I do not understand 😅😢
Thank you Cassiy for your videos. One question My store is connected however the name of the store is on the left side and I do not have the green button. I can not find My Account. What should I do?
Thanks for these helpful videos. I'm sorry if I missed this, but I don't understand the credit card thing. I'm supposed to buy the items I'm selling first with my credit card, then get reimbursed when the customers pays? Is there a video that explains just this part of the business?
Yes exactly! I have a full start up costs for print on demand video on my channel I posted a few weeks ago if you want to go check it out because it goes over the whole process! But you’ve got it right in your comment
You’re an angel ! Wow. I’ve learned so much with you. I have a question : why do we need to be charged by Printify ? I thought it was free or charge and get paid by the customer buying the t-shirt. I’m confused can you explain please ?
You just submit the order to be starting production early! You can do this whenever you want, but if a customer needs something edited like the size or color, then if it's already sent to production, then you need to cancel it and remake the order. Even then, sometimes it's too late and the printer already made it. So I like to at least wait for a few hours before sending my orders to production just in case.
Hi Cassiy, thanks for another great video! I just have a quick question about mock up image sizes for my listings... I'm using the size 2700/2025 pixels which I found on Google, but as the thumbnail automatically zooms in my images aren't optimised for cell phones & tablets and I can't figure out which size they should be so the full image is visible on tablets and cell phones. What size do you make your mock ups on Canva? Your advice would be really appreciated, thank you! 😁 And congrats on the success of your channel! I subscribed when you had about 12,000 subs, and you're almost at 100,000 👏🏻😁
Hi Natalie! Thank you so much, I hope my videos have helped you a lot on you POD journey! I like to do 5000/4500 so that the image is super clear and never turns out fuzzy. I hope that solves your problem!
I am brand new to this, so forgive me for the dumb question. I love the idea of it, but as you don't give your address, what would happen if a customer wants to return say a T-Shirt thats the wrong size? Who would pay for a replacement shirt to be sent out? Where would the original one go? Thank you.
Stumbled across this video on a search glady so new Printify and wasn't aware of this info.. I do need to know about the Production partners -- Adding new info.. where is this info found? Not sure if you mentioned it
Hi Cassiy, do you have a video on how to niche down? I'm having a difficult time figuring out how to niche down for Halloween, without making the SEO totally random? Hope that makes sense. Love your videos. Thank you!
Actually your wish is my command lol my video coming out on Tuesday will show you 10 great cross niches or sub niches for Halloween and I talk a bunch about how to implement it in your store! I know it will be super helpful for you. But to just give you a preview, all you need to do is find bestsellers in other niches right now and then find ways to combine it with Halloween! You can chance words to make it more Halloween or even just make it say the same thing but have Halloween graphics for example. Hope this helps some before Tuesday!
@@CassiyJohnson Hi Cassiy, I have another question. I just listened to your interview on the Etsy Seller Podcast from a while back. You mentioned taking a design template that is working for you and changing it out to fit other niches. While I have done that an have about 100 more designs in new niches to work with, I'm curious how you change out all those titles, tags, without it taking forever? For example: do you change out "Nurse Shirt" to "Firefighter Shirt" , etc. or do you start your research all over again to find new titles, tags, for each sub niche? I ask because what I hear from you and a few other people is SEO first then design. So how does this work when you do this? I hope this make sense :-) Thank you, Mia
Thank you Cassie for this video. I'm a complete beginner and a bit confused about my choice of print supplier. As I am in the UK, would it be more viable for me to choose UK based suppliers and only sell to the UK to avoid the extra shipping costs of countries outside of mine? I'm also thinking of the possible cost implications of international currency exchanges. Sorry if this seems a silly question but like I said, I'm completely new to this having recently created a printify account. Thanks for any advice. 😊
Can u go over how the shipping works cause someone bought 4 candles from me and it gave them free shipping on etsy when it's supposed to be like $14.xx how does that work?
Thank you for your awesome video on connecting Printify to Etsy. I have an old account on Etsy that hasn't been used for a few years. I have now decided to open a POD store using my old account. I believe I got the connection correct on Printify's website, but I'm not seeing an indication that "Printify" has been integrated on my Etsy account. Is there a way to verify this information from Etsy? ...or do I just order with Printify and hope it connects to Etsy?
Thank you so much Cassiy! Your videos are incredibly helpful! I'm currently following along through your POD Launch Mini Course and will be starting my pod tshirt business. I do have a question about the sales tax collected through Etsy and Printify. I may not be understanding correctly, but do they both collect sales tax? Do I need to file for a resale certificate of any kind?
Can you not pick a print provider depending on where your customer orders from (on Etsy)? In Canada, the print providers don't have all the same products. So, if you are seller in Canada, can you use, maybe Monster Digital? If so, then when someone buys from Canada, would they get it from Monster Dig in USA as well. Not to mention confusion about shipping! How can I find out?
So you pick a print provider when listing the item, if you decide to sell internationally then it is up to you on if you have the item shipped from Monster Digital US, to them in Canada, or if you want to manually change each international order when they come in. I might actually recommend only selling in the US to get started with. This will be simpler to get the process down and understand how it all works, then you also only have to check trademarks for one country instead of multiples!
Thank you, can you make a video on how to switch print providers? I want to switch from Printful to Printify but I’m not sure the easiest way to go about it

@@CassiyJohnson thank you so much for the tips! And thank you for your quick reply!! Can't wait for Tuesday's video.
Hook up a card for me to pay? I'm trying to make money off this. Not pay for anything. What am I paying for when I hook up to Printify?
Hello there
Can you not pick a print provider depending on where your customer orders from (on Etsy)?
Question? is it easy to make to make your first sale on etsy?
How do you do pocket designs? Can you do a video?
Here is a video I made on pocket designs and back designs! ruclips.net/video/LRme3xWnRyQ/видео.htmlsi=Srf16JqkXqtH0fOa
Thank you, can you make a video on how to switch print providers? I want to switch from Printful to Printify but I’m not sure the easiest way to go about it
Excellent tips & explanations 👍 and discount code 😊
you didn't show anyone got to do the Production partner bit on etsy though you said everything?
