That Rainbow Runner is perfectly stunning. He looked like a Met Gala-influenced Futuristic submarine. Fun.
Great to see Panama has such healthy inshore fishing and hasn't been destroyed by greedy commercial fishing. Good show bro.
Can’t believe you thru that rainbow runner back one of the best eating fish out there
That is the biggest rainbow runner ive ever seen.
Love the way you fish. I completely get it. Great vid. Elias. Thanks for taking me along.
Best inshore fishing in the world maybe
Love this video. Would love to see underwater cam footage
Looks like Dog Snapper ,
Great table fair.
Thanks Elias
Good video. Waters beautiful. Jacks galore!!
Unbelievably blue water!!
Man, that’s the life!
The Bes pokoknya bos thanks 🙏🙏 from 🇮🇩
When you bring the tackle store with you and then you look in the crate to say let’s see what we have left in here, you know it was a good days fishing!
your always fun to watch.. how i wish we have the same spot here in Philippines..
Perfect video to watch as I sit in the airport waiting on a delayed flight! Awesome stuff, can't wait to get down there and fish again
That Rainbow Runner is an awesome looking fish! 🌈 🐟 🎣 😎
Nice spot fishing mister👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What a fishing trip! Thanks for producing "vid + fish" a great fishing experience.
Jack, Jack, Jack, cubera, Jack, Jack, small snappers, Jack, Jack, anyway great video Elias looked like a great time!
bucket list
Great episode, lot of variety.
Those were some cool hound fish. Believe it or not, they can get pretty big
Awesome video!! Looks like your fishing in an aquarium!😅
This has just been sooo much fun to watch, and I love what you did in this episode, chasing fun and exploring the richly eclectic fishing apart from the 'targeted' species at exotic locales like this. It is refreshing and more entertaining to see what latches onto your offerings as you explore the local variety. I prefer to fish the same way, and it often leads to pleasant surprises and great memories. Thanks, man!
Thanks for watching! I enjoyed it.
You've definitely come a long way since NY ~ so fun following you through the years!
Yessir. I remember the sand crab tasting.
I also had fun using your paddles in Colombia when inshore poppers and stickbaits was very slow. In Costa Rica called yellow tail snapper. Your my fav yaker.
Thank you very much!!
Water is beautiful! Awesome times.
Perfect condition and a great days of fishing !!! Glad you got a chance to experience it !!! There have been times where I refused to drop a jig down to catch another one of those jacks !!! LOL Great trip !!
Thanks Dan, not the biggest fish. Shoulda stuck through jigging the jacks, there were big cuberas cruising but it was brutal after 5-6 of the jacks!
21 minutes in that is a species of Hawkfish!
FRICKIN SWEET 🎉🎉🎉THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!!
Those are the biggest needlefish I've seen! Those would have been a cool trash or treasure taste test
Haha man they are sketchy to handle!
I ate them once on recommendation...in Panama...and they were great. Better than yellowfins.
awesome fishing!
Nice man!!! You prove it again you are the best, very happy to see you fishing down the south, south south,
Excellent video!
Yod do indeed know your audience, thanks
Cool stuff and all on artificial. That’s what I’m all about
Beautiful fish!!! Go back out in kayak, love it!
Dude this is one of the best if not theeeee best fishing vids I’ve seen. Great job man!!!
Make me wanna book a trip fur sure!
Thanks
Thank you!
Wow, nearly a full hour video covering your amazing trip. I watched every single minute and enjoyed it immensely.
Much appreciated thank you!
Best 2 days of curls ever!! How fun, definitely a bucket list area for me too fish one day with bucket lists fish along the way!!! Thank you for letting us tag along Brotha!
It was a great time for sure!
I’m with you 😂go out and do your own thing and see what you can catch. Nice variety and it’s always exciting to see the top water strikes! Very cool trip glad you are having fun. Be safe…
Smiling in fun watching!
So the fish IDs
The first snapper you got and you got a few more throughout the video is a yellow snapper Lutjanus argentiventris
you also caught several spotted rose snappers, L. guttatus
The rainbow runner was correct
Nate's cool looking little fish was a giant hawkfish, in Spanish they call them "chino mero" or chinese bass because of the markings on the face.
And the fish he describes sounds like a blackblotch pompano, T. kennedyi
Blackblotch pompano. I’ll look it up! Thank you!
Love the longer form content every now and then, awesome!
Same! it was like watching a great exotic fishing movie!
Trip of a lifetime!
That first snapper looked like it wanted to be whole fried & in my belly!! Great video
Man next time a cooper is coming along!!
Big rainbow. I caught one out of north palm beach on a drift boat. Need a chrome Dixie jet
Solid video! Looked like a great time
Really enjoyed this video. Not only some great fishing but it's nice to see someone fishing with a kayak I've been looking at without it being a commercial for the boat. Now if you could just fish out of a Native Slayer propel max 12.5 as well that would be great lol.
Glad Y'all had such a great trip, it's fun to watch!
Lunching on the humble but delicious porgy while warching this 🔥 series from Central America
After watching you troll and cast various lures , I began to wonder if you would try some kind of swimbait or popper and sure enough bingo. It's really amazing to see you navigate waters you are unfamiliar with. 😊
I built a pirogue in 2008... named it Μοναξιά, which translates in Greek to solitude.
That's what kayaks are all about!
Watching you Ryan and Vik tear up some exotic and hard-fighting fish always gets me hype and been interesting to see the different perspectives. I’m a bit jealous but now i have to visit Panama. P.s. Wish they had a boat to harvest the kayakers catches that’s what I’ve seen another Panama resort do
I see Elias moving to Panama one day. Lol 😂😅 Good fishing Elias 👍
Babe get the popcorn the Elias movie just dropped
Love the long videos!
Excellent !!!
You are getting very good at this 🎉
Jacks are like carp. Ick but they fight good
Awesome video !
love these vids but when are you coming up to Maine
I feel this type of fishing (kayak) is the most difficult. The leverage advantage one has on a boat is much easier and safer. Kudos to you Elias! We learn a lot watching you.
I feel I would need those pontoon stabilizers. I feel so unsafe in the canoe. It feels like it does sudden tips and drives me nuts. Maybe a wider tgan normal kayak as my first one.
@@johnc6228 man if you have good balance. And a decent brand kayak. It’s kinda rare to flip one. I can stand up in mine. And throw a cast net.
School Master and Dog Snapper
Always wondered if a 15 kilo jack would give you the same fight as a 15 kilo G.T.
doing it on your own for variety is nice counterpoint - you had a good trip - great variety - back just in time for summer NC fishing - think about the mothership concept - this could take you further out and allay any safety concerns #yozuri
It’s an interesting way to do it for sure!
Your style of videoing is authentic. All that drone footage, background music, intros etc… is lame imo.
Greatly appreciate the way you present your videos.
I prefer straight fishing videos as well. Brief introduction and let’s go fishing. NDyakangler is the best at all of this in my option. I do see the appeal of drones, b-roll for a larger audience though but I don’t know if I can authentically do it.
Thank Elias, that water was so blue, I wanted to jump in for some snorkel fishing.
Thanks again. I feel bad everytime you throw a $50 plate of fish back in the water. Fish prices are outrageous here, ond I live 70 miles from the Pacific. Guess I I should just eat $5 a pack hotdogs...
Next time we’ll know to have a cooler somewhere
Needle fish are Houndfish!
Great video , those fricken needlefish look nasty
The snapper with the gold near the back fins and tail appear to be schoolmasters.
Anyone else notice that giant shadow moving beneath the kayak at 28:28 ?! Look just behind the front mounted GoPro arm.
A great day on the water. Hope you packed medicine for both aching arms. Are those Needlefish the local equivalent of Toadfish? Any sign of the Tax-man?
They were sketchy to handle!
The first snapper we call them dog snapper in the states
That fish the guy in blue caught is a hawk fish
Do you prefer the bicycle drive on that Kayak or the Hobbie drive?
Beautiful video Elias, love your style. How did you keep your one piece rods protected during travel?
Rod tube
The water looks clear, how is the snorkling there?
I’m sure it’s amazing
Fat Lane Snappers. Yes on the rainbows, scratch those.. Cubera congrats. But man FATlanes
Snappers were Yellow Snapper, Spotted Rose and Cubera.
I fish Panama twice a year.
and Nates fish was a giant hawkfish
Those " needle fish" are houndfish. Try grilling one.
What were your thoughts on the pedal action on that kayak? I have seen the same one on a handful of other brands...
It is resourceful for a lot of stuff. I think it performs well for lots of stuff but I think I like the pedal drive system better for overall function.
@5:30 it looked more like HE HAD YOU! What is the water temp?
78-80
Elias, do you like the pedal drive you're using in this video or the type you have at home?
I prefer the mirage drive for most areas of current. But the reverse drive is very fragile. I have been waiting for a warranty replacement since February. The spine warps under regular use. Others will dispute that and claim you are damaging it by hitting submerged stuff but it simply isn’t true.
Did you keep anything?
Not this particular outing. We went to feel it all out. Probably next time a system for ice will be in place!
Rainbow Runner looks to be in the same family of fish that cobia are in. At least , looked that way to me.
Exactly my thoughts
Unless it’s a cobia in drag…. Ya never know these days what a fish might identify as!😮
@@stevenmagliacane7407 lol , that's pretty good , was a pretty cobia though =P
28:27 big shark?
Ya know you fish the finger lakes. Hook up with Eric O. He lives in Avoca, not too far away. Get followers from both. Would be nice
Anyone else request prices from this fishing lodge? Lol, I know I just did.
I BELIEVE YOUR NEEDLE FISH IS ACTUALLY CALLED A HOUNDFISH
I agree and, they get well into double figures! Can you imagine?
For Elias it is the Bluefish of the Pacific
Elias, I’m gonna be honest with you. It pains me to see you throw that rainbow runner back. I respect what you do and thank you for all the great content, but that was painful.
Tfw when the top of your thighs are redder than your life vest. Ouch!
Bro love the videos...but the constant exhaling is very distracting 😅 i know its just a habit and we all have them! just wish that it wasn't there
Sorry man. I’m getting old😢
