      While moving, Simple's always lifting and resetting his mouse position to the neutral position and flick to enemy. Elige doesn't lift and reset as much and his crosshair is tracking corners when clearing angles, which Simple doesn't. Although they use similar high sensitivity, I think the difference lays on Elige's somehow also applying his forearm for larger angle aiming movement, just that his forearm is not stabilized on the desk. imo Elige's style is so hard to copy

      @@arnoarno4455 How you describe Elige is how I aim regardless of using high or low sensitivity. I currently use 800 dpi, 1.5 sensitivity (up from 800 and 1.2) and that's exactly what i do: use arm to track corners or flick 90/180 degrees and use wrist/fingers for ''in-range'' aiming. Mostly because I haven't played CSGO in a while and played a lot of Overwatch and more recently Diabotical, where the slightly less accurate but more ''aware'' higher sensitivity made a lot of sense. Fun fact: in those games this sensitivity is still considered ''slighty lower than average''.

Been playing CS since 1.2 and still today i hear a lot of people talking about eDPI, crossair placement, angles, config files, gaming pads, mouses, etc.. and so little about body and hand position which i think is one, if not, the first topic when wanting to take consistent aiming to a pro level. Your analysis in spot on and the mouse pad camera is the cherry on top of the cake. Would like to see more in depth analysis like this one for other pro players. Keep up the good word man :)

    Also, take note that he seems to use a fingertip grip style. Maybe just part of the pinky base is touching, but his fingers seem to be the only real thing touching the mouse. I think Scream uses this same style and only a fraction of pro players use this technique. It has many advantages such has much more movement since you have all 5 figures being able to make small adjustments. Rather than just your wrist or your arm making those adjustments. People say you can press the button faster which lowers reaction time (I dont know if this is 100% true). An example of much more movent is simple when practicing his AWP. He uses his fingers to push his mouse down to close to, or at this palm. The problem is you need to have pretty good dexterity to handle this type of style, and the other problem is that if you don't keep it trained like simple does, it can be very inconsistent. Other than that, its a great style that takes a lot of practice, but it has to feel comfortable to you. If it isn't confrontable its better to stick with what you use.

    the thing is that s1mple understands that his impact as a player comes from the fact that he's a playmaker, someone who can turn around a round with one play and he knows that in order to do this he has to stay on top of his game, stay unpredictable and basically be a headache. on top of that, have great mechanics and basically top-notch game sense and you got s1mple.

I immediatelly change my PC setup which located in the center of the corner at my L Shape office desk to the side of the L shape table which help me a lot. So far tried on the AimLab which see significant improvement after I have a proper pivot point. I'd realized it when I was working today while using my working mouse to do documents on my office desk after yesterday night of watching this video.

    As for now I'm using an optical mice with high dpi and low sens.

    Never thought I'd say some of the childhood idols on YT lol. Subscribed!
    Question though: any thoughts on high sens contributing more to carpal tunnel? I had one of my friends back in the CAL days who doesn't play FPS anymore due to CTS; he did have an abnormally high sensitivity but I'm sure there are other contributions too. I've always tried to be a "forearm" aimer to avoid overusing the wrist.... but there's so many advantages to using more wrist!

    • @Sage_Lucas
      @Sage_Lucas 4 года назад

      That's more of a genetic thing from what knowledge I have about this. If it helps with anything I played cs 1.6 back in the day for 8+ hours a day using mostly wrist aim and then league of legends on high sens using my wrist to do 99% of movement. Never had any problems. My hand was actually feeling worse with lower dpi and getting tired much faster, after I increased my dpi I felt so much better. I'd personally suggest experimenting and finding out what works for you. Listen to your body it will tell you what works and what doesn't. Of course this is just my opinion, maybe I'm the special one there haha.

    You could master low or high sensitivity, but high sensitivity takes more practice in my opinion. Like, you could take a long break from gaming and come back and be pretty accurate with low sensitivity and forearm movement. It would be harder to come back from a break and be as accurate as you were before with high sensitivity.

    The click-reaction speed tests are... kind of weird though. I averaged 190 on a 60hz panel and I average 175 or something like that on a 120hz panel. But... I'm past my reactionary prime at 30+ years old. When in-game I wish my reaction speed was that fast lmao. The in-game dynamic reaction time feels totally different to the static ''I know what's about to happen'' reaction time imho ;p

    • @blizzmademegod
      @blizzmademegod 4 года назад +2

      Reaction speed degrading with age is largely a myth. It may go up, but not by much at all. Additionally if you are a gamer and constantly practicing skills that require a fast reaction time I bet the degradation is amortized, or even avoided entirely. As you said, the complex reaction time where your brain actually needs to process the information coming in is much slower. Practice makes it faster.
      Age related reaction time degradation is an excuse used by pros and players who don't want to put the effort in stay on top/get good.

    • @KindOldRaven

      @@blizzmademegod I've been thinking about this as well and I've noticed one trend that would probably explain a lot of this. Most ex-pro gamers (who've quit or taken a step or three back) did so because they either got a different job, hobby, wanted to focus on their family or things of that nature. I recently saw Fatal1ty play some games of Diabotical and watched his most recent play against another more recent pro: he's actually still extremely good, despite the fact that he doesn't practice nearly as much as he used to: but I think that's indeed the biggest factor. I'm also 31 years old...) and 3, I now have to work on "Smoothing" and general map awareness.
