What Christmas means to me is, a time to be thankful for the Birth of Jesus Christ, celebrating and sharing the season with my family and friends. I love the angelic music this time of year; it lifts my spirit. It's also a time of reflection on the past, especially remembering the loved ones have passed, and inspires me to create new memories. It's truly very special time of the year.
Everything about christmas is wonderful. I love the snow here in Colorado and getting together with friends and family. But, most of all the joy of giving.
Those fabrics are fun! We have a wide range of Christmas fabrics for you if interested! www.shabbyfabrics.com/c77/fabrics/fabrics-by-theme/christmas-fabrics?ref=subnav Thank you for your comment! - Abby
The music, the good feeling, maybe the Christmas spirit, in people that you pass, the memories of everyone you have engaged with throughout the years, the sparkle and shine of the season. Love this angel, she is beyond beautiful.
Lights, music and decorations are favorite Christmas themes for me. Best of all, though, is giving gifts to friends and family that I’ve made especially for them.
My favorite tradition is putting up our 10 ft tree with family of old family ornaments and ornaments collected on vacation. My granddaughters reminisce about our great trips.
What a sweet and stunning angel!! I love it. Christmas time for me is all about the cozy time at home with my family along with the books and music. My kids (5) are 14-4 and it's so fun to see them remembering the special things.
To me, Christmas/Yule is a symbol of giving and focusing on good things, during times that may not be ideal. Christmas is derived from the Yule celebration, and Yule is all about celebrating life and moving forward as Winter promises to get warmer and turn to Spring. I love baking, making eggnog, putting up the tree and decorating it and making gifts to give. I'm hoping we can gather the funds to get this as a gift for our sweet neighbor.
Christmas is such a great time! This is a great project, hopefully you can get it and be able to gift it to your neighbor! It is so beautiful! Thank you for your support and comment! - Abby
Growing up in Paducah KY, we had many a white Christmas. To me, as a child/teenager, Christmas meant Peace on Earth and Jesus’ birthday, snow, singing Christmas carols, decorating the tree with my brothers and parents, riding the bus downtown with friends to shop and see the lights and decorations, driving around with friends or family to see the lights in the neighborhoods, my mom making bourbon balls and peanut butter balls and boiled custard (not eggnog, but a thicker, creamy concoction- my granddad always spiked his with good KY bourbon) having Christmas dinner with my family and grandparents, having a block party with the neighbors on our dead end street- we lived on a hill so the dads would build a fire at the bottom of the hill and the moms would have hot chocolate ready while we all sledded down the hill. It was such a wholesome, carefree time of sheer joy. Now I live in Houston and, after 43 years here, still have trouble getting in the Christmas spirit when it’s 80° I find myself lost in nostalgia, homesick, and missing my parents and grandparents. Having my granddaughters has really helped, but I guess I’m just one of those people who loves Christmas, but also gets a little sad. That’s when I really need projects like these!
What great Christmas experience's you had when you were young. It truly is a great time of year! This is such a gorgeous kit! Perfect for the holidays. Thank you for your support and comment! 😊🎄 - Abby
That is a beautiful Christmas pattern of the angel!! I love, everything about Christmas!! The main reason is the birth of Jesus Christ!! Hallelujah!! ✝️🇨🇽❤
Paint - by - number kits are still available and much more sophisticated than I remember doing as a kid. Online shops will take your photos and make special kits from them. They are very detailed and beautiful.
You and your assistant are wonderful with detailed explanations. But, in this case you only cover the face. This will be my first and have so many questions. I seen your first tutorial on piecing but still lost. Should I used the walking feet for the piecing? Or the regular one? Thanks for your answers
We're glad you enjoy these fun Foundation Paper Piecing Projects! Jen walks you through the entire process in this tutorial: www.shabbyfabrics.com/free-downloads-and-video/582 Regarding the walking foot, you don't really need one for foundation paper piecing. If your machine is fussy, and doesn't like multiple layers, then you may want to use one. -Michelle
I love this kit! Do you use the gold metallic thread for top stitching the dress or do you use a lighter one, can’t quite tell from the picture. Thanks!
We're so glad you enjoy it! We did use the gold metallic in the coordinating thread set to stitch down different parts of the dress & accentuate the project: www.shabbyfabrics.com/p161712 -Michelle
Hi Debby - We do not have these laser cut shapes available separately from the kit. You can trace those for appliqué using the tracing diagram provided in the pattern. -Michelle
We don't, this is the only skin color we have. You can always add another fabric of choice and just trace over the face and arm pieces that are in the kit. It will be easier to use our pieces but being creative and adding your touch to it would be fun! 😊 - Abby

Do you quilt stitch the layers together( top, batting, and backing)??????
Yes the layers do get quilted together and you should be able to top stitch on your own machine. - Abby
I have the pattern and I bought my own fabric for the paper piecing. Can I just get the pieces for the face, hallo, arms etc?
Hi Debby - We do not have these laser cut shapes available separately from the kit. You can trace those for appliqué using the tracing diagram provided in the pattern. -Michelle
Is this stand for the Angel available, and what does it cost.
Yes, you can still shop this 12” x 14” craft holder stand here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/p46581 Thanks so much for watching!! -Michelle
Do you have a kit for different skin colors?
We don't, this is the only skin color we have. You can always add another fabric of choice and just trace over the face and arm pieces that are in the kit. It will be easier to use our pieces but being creative and adding your touch to it would be fun! 😊 - Abby
