Quick and easy. I like those pump two gallon sprayers for garden fertilizer. You can leave them out in sun to warm up. They shut off when you don’t need it while you suds up and has a bit of pressure behind it and works good for rinsing hair. Also they are easy to control the flow and it is directional so it goes where you want it to. No mess!

I dont have a van, nor do I travel anymore...but if I did I would always have bathing wipes which do an incredible job with cleaning your body. You just wipe and you're good to go. Im 70.....and its very hard for me to get in the shower to bath or the bath tub.....so I use the wipes like 3 times a week depending on how dirty I might get, which for me its not so much anymore. Now washing hair, I would use your bottle water method. I honestly don't know how in the world two people can travel or live rather in a van that small. But I will watch some of your other videos and maybe get an idea of how you do it. I'm 70......so I'm afraid my body is too shot to travel or live that way. Fun to watch you though so I thank you for sharing.

Re that jug of water...it's perfectly functional and smart, and keeps you informed how much water you are using. I would recommend getting a little drill or screwdriver and make some holes in one of the lids. Hang on to that lid and add it to each new jug for showering then use a reg lid to seal and store leftovers. It will help you control water usage even more. You want a screwtop lid (some gallon jugs have a pop on lid and can spill) and choose the same type of jug each time so your holey lid fits future bottles. Happy camping!

In agreement with not dragging a shower devise with me. I heat a gallon of water to the temperature that i want within an enamel camp pot and use a plastic cup to get wet, A mesh scrubbie is soaped up and cleans me easily. The cup is used to rinse off and enough water is left for shaving (2 cups average).
A standard tub bath mat goes on the ground to stand on. Rolls up for storage.
The pot can be used for dish washing, cooking, or baking as i never soap it up while bathing. Simple multipurpose rig for me. John

Love simplicity but a gallon is a bit heavy. I was thinking about the Amish who still use a water pitcher and bowl. But a sprayer with a black water bottle to heat in the sun is simplistic and can be stored with rooftop cargo. I love the rock stabilizer idea.

Wearing cheap flip flop sandals keeps your feet cleanish, and minimizes having a mat that touches eeew!? Ground and then having to clean that side of it, and dry and store it. Plastic Sandals you can put in a bag with the soles together. Sit on edge of van to wash and dry feet individually.
Agree on gallon jugs! I use a stainless bowl that nests on top a bucket and a reuse quart yogurt container for a scoop for the soap sink basin, Plus washcloth! and also to make most of water for pouring, repouring water through long hair for washing then rinsing by catching in SS bowl with bucket being for the gray spent water.

I have something even easier, maybe. I get up early in the morning, stand on a sand mat, put on a shower toga, and use water from a 2 liter bottle with a portable outdoor shower bottle attachment. The attachment is a thick rubber cap with holes in the top that go on the mouth of the bottle, even smaller soda bottles, and then the water comes out like a shower. No setup and I'm done in 10 minutes. Definitely look into the shower toga and the shower bottle attachment. They checked the game for me.

Magnets will not work on my Jeep Cherokee XJ because the entire rear hatch is a fiberglass type material.
I appreciate your frugal ideas, which are fine for a very limited budget. Today battery powered pumps are available which enable a much better experience.
Bamboo shower grid floors are premade available. Or use a commercial grade poly grid, so much easier.
A child's small inflatable pool is another option. Which can be better because your campsite/car perimeter does become mud.
Old tent poles, or long ski poles, perpendicular to the roof rack, bungee tied to the roof rack, extending past the car side 24 inches. Spring clamps to hold the tarp to the poles. Bottom of the tarp, fold/roll a branch/stick, held with spring clamp/vice grip pliers.
Always carry a variety of inexpensive spring clamps (Harbor freight).
Expandable water jug, fill with the local water, set in sun. Simple proper size tube press on to the jug spout. Jug on car roof at the above mentioned tarp setup. Good to shower!
Of course, heating water on the camp stove is easy too.

I have a couple of cheap tarps for the outside, with extra grommet holes and use BBQ utensil magnets with hooks. I also have an old shower curtain on the inside, to keep the water out. I use a garden weed sprayer, with a kitchen sink sprayer attached for a pressurised shower. It works rather well.
I assume that you just pour the jug water over yourself. You could keep a spare jug cap with holes if you wanted to limit the water for rinsing your hair. I've seen people use smaller soda bottles with perforated caps, too, as they are easier to lift overhead.

BC is beautiful, especially the little mountain, valley desert village where I live. The Thompson River separates the CN and CP lines, so I always hear trains. There's a waterfall a fifteen minutes walk from my house, and we're surrounded by trees and mountains.
