The Siren make is Carson Siren.
bloody private contractors, doing me out of a job! 😉 Thank goodness they are there to bolster numbers and work events. Great catch mate!
First ambulance almost looks and sounds fake with the siren and license plate combo lol
Nice to see the american Whelen Liberty lightbar in London. Usually, european units uses the Whelen Justice. Fantastic catches! :)
Great! Old but nice sirens.
Quality catch! Quite like that blue skoda aswell
Could be an old HEMS RRV, as their old ones were blue Skodas ;) (or one that they only use for events)
Robin Collet no, londons air ambulance dont have 'event only' RRVs. It's not ex-HEMS because they never had blue facelifted Octavias, and they always have petrol vRS versions. The one in the video has the lowest power output diesel engine.
It's not an EX HEMS. It was built for First Aid cover as thier Critical care car. It's crewed by a Doctor, paramedic practitioner or nurse at high risk events such as marathons. They now have a second one that is kitted to the same spec. They carry the same kit as a HEMS car including critical care drugs, kit for thoracic interventions, portable ultrasound etc. First Aid cover are a great company run by HCPS. We work closely with them. The yellow estate car on the line up is our old ex SWAST RRV. it's since gone and been upgraded to a ford Mondeo.
Америка very good
It's a carson siren on the ambulance
I saw a private ambulance for the first time at a train station cos someone was hit by a train. They jumped or something idk it was near Kilburn highroad
Oh damn. You know if they alright?
Surely Carson siren
What's the blue car
Custom miner plate
I just really can’t trust private ambulances, especially when it comes to blue lights !
Why?
There'd be no need for so called 'private' ambulances if the government funded the NHS service properly!
There would... they were covering an event.
HEMS are private too... do you have a problem with HEMS? And before you say "they are a charity" look closer, research it.
Old ambulance?? Why so
Daniel Woods Why would they use an old ambulance? Surely they would usually use new ambulances
Daniel Woods Its a private plate. More likely 2010 era.
Private companies tend to use older ambulances used previously by the NHS when they update their fleet. They are cheap to buy and are already kitted out. The main reason is price, older = cheaper. The sprinter was, at my guess, built around 2003-5
Those first two ambo's look horrible
They are actually converted old DHL vans! Believe it or not. They have since upgraded to the masters.
