3 problems ahead of my Spanish ebike tour

With a little over a week to go did a spontaneous chat to camera about 3 problems I've hit ahead of my 2000km Spanish cycling tour by eBike. All are hiccups rather than disasters and a reminder that something will always not work out and that's part of the adventure. Also Day 1 turning into a race against sunset up 1000m of mountains is so on message for me.
The issues
A replacement bike part failed to arrive
My hotel bookings seem to have been targeted by fraudsters and booking com have been pretty useless
The ferry company changed both arrival and departure times there and back. With the there journey that's getting me in later in the afternoon when I've 80km of up mountain cycling to my accommodation
This is recorded on the Featherbed on the Dublin mountains as I did a 80km, 1000m warm up (as you may noticed the same as that first day in the Basque Country, not a coincidence ).

I live on the north coast in Cantabria. The weather has been cool so far this year. Quite a persistent headwind coming from the west. Eat a good breakfast, you’ll need the energy on the climbs. Dont forget, you will cone through many small villages where you can access food and water so dont over carry stuff. This is gods own country if you enjoy cycling and hiking. Your trip will be excellent. 💪

Thanks, I’m am very much looking forward to it and have been watching the weather. The great thing after doing the Irish Atlantic coast & northern Scotland is apart from heat there’s probably not much new the weather can hit me with.

How are you flying with an ebike? Do you need to take your batteries with you into the cabin (as hand baggage)? I assumed large capacity lithium-ion batteries would be an issue when flying.

I’m not - there is a daily ferry between Rosslare & Bilbao now so I’m on that

I do not know of any airline in the world that will transport your ebike battery, maybe in North Korea, in fact most just say no to ebikes, scooters, etc.
