I'm glad you posted this. My favorite mat is a Gaiam mat I got at TJMaxx. People in yoga class would even comment on my mat. It's reversible, both sides are gorgeous and it's the perfect amount of sticky. I think it was $20. My other mat is ok but could use an upgrade. The thing is when I do yoga my cats join me and sometimes prick the mat, so I am hesitant to spend $80-100 on a mat.

Right! Not a good feeling if you spent your hard earned money just to get it scuffed up! Sounds like you found a great deal. Glad your mat is working out for you :)

The best mat is the one you feel a connection with.
Also note that physical yoga is 0.005% of what is yoga

I was curious about this, I've been using a cheap yoga mat for years and wasn't sure to go with more expensive yoga mats

Unless you have knee issues I say stick with the affordable option. What are you going to do Ben???

@@RoamIntoYoga I've been doing yoga for a couple of years using a yoga mat from 5 below. I was wondering regarding the difference between expensive yoga mats vs cheap yoga mats.
Since I've been doing yoga for years, I wanted to see what other options are there for yoga mats
