Sony FX30: A taste of French Polynesia // Zimy Da Kid X Sony

I’m super happy to present to you all the Brand New Sony FX30: the newest addition to the famous Sony Cinema Line ! #sony #sonyfx30 #fx30
With 4K-120 as well as 1080p-240 both with a 4-2-2 10bit color depth, this new FX30 offers pretty much the same specs as its older siblings like the FX3 or the 7SIII but has a smaller APSC sized sensor making it the most affordable true cinema camera of the whole Sony Lineup.
It also offers the ability to record audio through professional XLR powered microphones with its own sound mixing device above the top handle of the camera !
It has the same E-Mount system as all other Sony cameras meaning that you can use all your lenses (even the full frame ones) on this new camera. By using a full frame lens on an APSC sensor, it’ll zoom in more making it pretty interesting when you need more reach in order to have a bigger subject when shooting wildlife with a telephoto or when shooting macro for example.
Having a camera that offers such professional imaging performances at such an affordable price has simply never been seen before !
It makes it the perfect cinema camera to start your filmmaking career or if you simply need to add an extra solid camera that will offer professional imaging and sound recording to your lineup.
When Sony reached out to me asking if I was down to create something for the release of this new camera, I immediately accepted the challenge and took it with me to French Polynesia.
I only had 2 days to shoot it all without being able to take it underwater as there aren’t any housings available yet so we did our best to film part of the heart and soul of French Polynesia: the green lush mountains of Mo’orea and the most beautiful wave in the entire world: Teahupo’o.

No I don’t use stock footage. Shot it on fx30 with Sony 90 2.8 macro
