They should have Godzilla and Kong do their own movie while also adding a few of the classic Toho monsters whether it's in a Godzilla movie or Kong movie.
After GXK 3 we could see Godzilla 3, 4, 5 and 6 Solo movies but also Kong 2, 3 and 4 Solo movies just like Adam Wingard could direct Future Kong Solo movies.
They need to give Kong some more unique monsters, Godzilla has a whole catalogue of fellow monsters, where as Kong doesn't, he needs to have a cast of characters too
@@MasterIceyy They gave Kong Suko his adopted son, a cool villain with Skar King and now an Ape Tribe. Also they need to take inspiration from Kong: The Animated Series with Chiros as a villain but show other creatures like Set, Wendigo, Yeti and others.

We know the 2 headliners will be Godzilla and King Kong due to being the ONLY 2 mainstream Icons in an entire genre. There really is no other well known monster. 95% of people don't even know any of the other Toho Kaiju and I don't know how motivated Legendary is to build up b flic toho kaiju when they can create their own. I expect the title will have both GxK to drive as many people possible. Kong seems to be bigger with the general audience and Goji with the hardcore niche. I think we could get both Kings doing there own thing.
@@tedunseth3966 I'd imagine we'll see Kong helping his species thrive but there will be another even bigger threat so he will join Godzilla on the surface to defend his people, maybe with other titans aswell. I mean I wouldn't be surprised if they saw how well the non-verbal storytelling worked in this movie and decided to go all out with the inclusion of Rodan and others, like seriously we saw that dude once and then never heard from him again so having Rodan in the next movie would be really cool. I'd love to see both Godzilla and Kong just show up to fight against the villain with their respective armies.
@@tedunseth3966Doesn't matter if Kong and Godzilla are the only mainstream Kaiju. Pacific Rim wasn't mainstream and we saw how well that movie did and how much the general public liked it. As long as the Kaiju look cool and are interesting people will watch the movie. And Toho has plenty of monsters that could look cool asf with modern CGI.
@@alunaticwithashotgun9840 It would be nice to see Rodan helping Godzilla this time around. It shouldn't cost a lot and when you have the Toho Kaiju you know it's Godzilla. This time around Godzilla has a relationship going forward with the King of the Great Apes. Does Godzilla have a problem with Humanity or vice verse? If Kong protects humanity no matter what it could lead to a modern day Titan War between Godzilla and his controlled Titans against Kong and his army of Great Apes and Shimo.
@@WillWilliams-vo4nk I think it absolutely matters. Pacific Rim Uprising flopped. It had a 155M budget and only made 307M. The first film did okay to warrant a sequel. Is 2 films considered a success when everyone is trying to have a universe? I think we agree we want more 135M+ Budget Monsterverse Movies being made.
You can have Kaiju help in a film but no way will they or should they consider a MV movie without Godzilla or King Kong on the marquee. It seems having BOTH almost guarantees success. If everything was about looking "Cool" wouldn't we have more than 2 ICONS in an entire genre? My point is this isn't comic book characters and a great actor helps.

Really? Wingard sucked so much of the grit and danger out of the series. GxK didn't even focus on the risks posed to humanity much at all compared to other installments.

@@WillWilliams-vo4nkBelieve it or not humanity being under existential threat is the whole point of Godzilla movies. If the monsters exist in a vacuum, they might as well just be on another planet doing their own thing and as such, would be completely irrelevant. Wingard knows this well enough to maintain a hint of this danger whilst also appealing to kids but ultimately, hardcore fans will walk away if they see the franchise becoming little more than a parody.

I might be asking for to much but is it possible to go over toy leaks and news along with the movie featured in your videos? Im a half assed toy collector and try and find videos about jurassic and godzilla toys but none of them are all to great unless theyre just reviewing a toy in their hands (which im not asking you to do) but if you find rumors about potential unreleased toys that go with the Monsterverse and what not i would be highly appreciated as well as help others like me
I love the fast paced movement of this compared to years with no news with GxK. Adam Wingard is good but I think they should bring back Michael Dougherty, he is not currently attached to any project and has been instrumental in the storyline for both KOTM and GvK.
If Michael can or will come back I wouldn’t mind it if he can atleast learn from those major mistakes he made for Kotm

I am having mixed feelings about the change of directors to be honest, it would be great to have a darker film but not at the expense of monster action or necessary human characters. If we get Mike Dougherty back we will also get composer Bear McCreary back (probably) so that's a good thing.
They mentioned Planet X on Bernie's Podcast so hopefully we see Planet X, Atlantis and other things in Future Monsterverse movies just like we could see Matango, Atragon, a Tribe of War of the Gargantuas living in the Hollow Earth and others.

i think if they are gonna change directors they should at least keep in contact with Adam for this film to keep it consistent to the last movie and have the earlier idea of a Godzilla centric film

I'm talking about all the all the fantastical things. All the glowing and lights. Kong having a bionic arm, the hollow earth was a good idea in KOTM but I don't think they executed well. The whole world in that universe is drastically different from 2014... now everyone knows of the hollow earth. Godzilla is just sleeping on land in the middle of cities now. Jumping off cliffs... like I said KOTM had a good balance between Sci fi and being grounded. I enjoyed the movie. But KOTM is still the best in this series... also i already saw and liked minus one. Cry some more for me. 😅
Godzilla solo movie would be a breath of fresh air.
One of the Many directors that i would Like to see direct the GxK Sequel, would be Matt Reeves, i personally love his Style, it's so Grounded and it combines the Realistic tone with the Sci-Fi tone, he did this in Dawn and War for the Planet of the Apes aswell as with The Batman, he would be the perfect choice foi it, in my Opinion of course.
I want an alien invasion storyline with the Xiliens! It would make the human side story more interesting, and we could get Gigan back!
Love to see more classic TOHO kaiju into the MonsterVerse, with best bets like Godzilla Jr., Angurius, Spacegodzilla, Gigan, Biollante, Hedorah, Battra, Gorosaurus, and Titanosaurus.
Not only that, since Wingard is gonna work on a new monster film for A26, I was thinking returning MV director Mike Dougherty for the upcoming 6th MonsterVerse installment coming in 2026-27.
Nothing like the old Toho Godzilla movies but i really enjoy these new Godzilla movies. To me this Godzilla is what i have always pictured he should look like. I have a theory about the next movie in this series. People are talking this next movie is going to take a dark turn. What if Godzilla right now is slowly evolving into Space Godzilla? Looking at his color changes, the size of some of his back large back scales. There is also other places where those pink scales are starting to pop out, that really points me in that direction. I mean, what if theres another Godzilla still alive but hasnt been found are woken yet? Godzilla starts losing it and seems to blast himself into space. Humans accidentally discover there is another Godzilla but in the North Pole. Kong, Suko, and Shimo go on a mission and find and awake him right as the first Godzilla returns. They quickly realise he has gone completely evil and have evolved into Space Godzilla. So the four join together to destroy him. It is later found out that Space Godzilla is the original Godzilla from millions of years ago that evolved into Space Godzilla and pretty much destroyed everything. He was finally defeated by another of Godzillas species and was always thought to have been killed. Instead he went back to his original form, memory gone, and slept until woken again in WWII. People just assumed that he was the Godzilla that killed the original Space Godzilla when infact he is Space Godzilla and the good Godzilla layed dormant in the North Pole where the original was in the South Pole, Antarctica.
Just a theory i have based off the novel for Godzilla x Kong 2, because thats what it says, that this Godzilla now is Space Godzilla and that we are seeing his evolution.

I could see James Wan doing a Future Monsterverse movie and make it similar to the 1st Aquaman movie by showing the colorful and fantasy Battles/creatures but also show the H.P. Lovecraft horror aspects.
Destoroyah is next
Too early. They gotta do a few other villains first
Do a 2 part film with humans as the bad guys for a change. 1st one with Godzilla, where we find out HE'S the jr the whole time & we meet his even bigger dad. Explore G's history. Establish the next big bad, be it Biollante, Hedorah or Destroyah. Then follow up the next film when humanity invades Hollow Earth & now Kong & fam must defend it.
They introduced so many unexplored titans which are still unexplored; they need to correct that.
The Avengers had their solo movies to build the universe and not overuse the teamups.
That's the pattern to use; maybe Rodan or Methuselah, or bring in American kaiju like the Rhedosaurus (Beast from 20,000 Fathoms), the Giant Mantis, or the Ymir (20 Million Miles to Earth). Even the Manda clone Reptilicus.
It's a Warner Brothers movie for the same reason that every studio today takes credit for movies they don't make... it's just the way it is nowadays... Most major movie studios don't actually make their own movies anymore. They pretty much contract everything out. That's why you see all those names in the title screens...

Everyone wants Destroyah but it’s simply too soon. The Monsterverse should conclude with a battle against Destroyah, or a huge “Infinity War” type film all of the Earth Titans defending the planet against an extraterrestrial invasion.

Happy we are getting another Monsterverse film but i hope and pray we get to see more Legendary Titans in this next one. Give me Behemoth, Methuselah , Muto and Na Kika and i'll be one happy lady!

The 3rd Godzilla x Kong crossover movie needs to show SpaceGodzilla as the main villain but we could also see Godzilla Jr, more of Mothra, Bring back Rodan, Monster Island, Maser Cannons/Ships and either Moguera or Jet Jaguar.
this will be the first modern godzilla film i wont be able to see in theaters... atleast for certain.

I swear if we go back to having barely any monster fights and going back to focusing JUST human drama im out. Reason is becuase godzilla was never meant to have human drama basically everyone wants it to be more like minus one. Be careful what you ask for because that means the movie will not be so successful. I hope gxk 3 at least succeeds. Im there for the monster action and you guys can hate all you want. Even if he did get in close, the charged axe wouldn't be able to do enough damage to matter before he gets murdered. Godzilla can't beat Destoroyah either, the Oxygen Destroyer Ray and Variable Slicer would end him very quickly given he lacks Burning Heisei's regen

Adam wingard didn't say he wanted a baby Godzilla or a darker film, all he said was that he liked how emotional the ending scene of Godzilla vs Destroyah is, I don't know how this had been misinterpreted so badly
I'd like a more serious Godzilla film for the next one, he needs to have his character developed a little more, and we need to see a different side of him, instead of the rage filled ball of destruction. We've seen moments where he relents, like with Mothra, and Jia or when he got to see Ford and Serizawa, but giving him some fellow Monsters to hang out with like King Caeser, or Rodan would be cool

If they introduce Goji jr, they'll probably end up killing off Goji sr. I just don't see Legendary spreading themselves across them both plus Kong and potentially Suko in terms of making movies. I really don't want to get their replacements when it would be simpler to just stick with the monsters we've got.

I want Gareth Edwards to come back, he is the best at shooting the monsters, the monsters felt enormous back in 2014 cause of the human viewpoint camera angles. since KOTM that has been getting less and less. and I hated the comedic tone the latest instalment had.
GXK was pretty dark with Skar King so they could go dark in GXK 3 crossover movie but make sure that we still see The Hollow Earth more colorful day and night time battles but also focus more on the Titans/Mythology instead of the insect human characters.

Why do you keep insisting there's going to be a second Godzilla x Kong movie? When I think legendary should perhaps make a movie where there is Godzilla meeting up with Anguirus to fight Gigan in Godzilla versus Gigan. And for correction it's not called Godzilla x Kong 3 technically it would be considered Godzilla x Kong 2 but I think legendary needs to bring back Gigan and Anguirus Bean that we've already seen Rodan in Godzilla king of the monsters.

For me i want the next film to focus more on godzilla and not have so many rushed fights with him in it and i wasnt a fan with how they practically kept putting him to the side and give kongs story more development. If they want more seriousness they better not cutaway from the fights along with humans because that is what fans seem to want

They are starting to change up Godzilla's look too much for me. That magenta pinkish looking back spikes got to go. Didn't they learn anything from that 1998 Roland Emmerich mess. You change him up too much. People start saying that ain't Godzilla. You are going to start to lose folks like that movie did.The Roland Emmerich movie is now looked at as one of the worst takes on Godzilla ever. Godzillas got a very big fan base. So just like Star Trek, Star wars ,Harry Potter etc . These franchise have a huge following.. You start to tweak around with the characters to much. The fans well tear into that and trash it.

Maybe Destroyas uncle gets beat up in front of a young Destroya by Godzillas' Pops and the humans know one day Destroya will return by prophecy??
Adam Wingard is a True Godzilla/Kaiju Fan and its because of him why the Monsterverse is still here with both GVK and GXK movies making lots of money which stupid KOTM failed to do cause trash lowlifes think that everything Godzilla is about grounded realistic dark tone bullshit.
It will be a garbage flop if they go back to the Godzilla 2014 tone and focuses more on trash human characters.
