Finally someone who gets the trailer. Too many haters out there are quick to judge Brie's acting, even though she's an Oscar winner and it's clear why she's keeping her emotions in check, afterall she's forgotten most of her past and is trying to find herself in this movie. You aren't going to get someone who's overly emotional with a character like that.
Exactly, I have seen people were saying Brie Larson was boring, she didn't have any emotions etc.. How can you tell about anything with a few dialogue that she had in a 2 minute trailer.

From what I have learned about this character over the past month; she's been through a lot. I am not expecting some happy go lucky hero. I love spiderman and I get his youthful humor. I dont need all heroes to be like that. Captain M is here to take care of some business. I'm looking foward to seeing what she brings to the MCU table. Humor is not required for the Super Hero club.
I think the trailer did what it was intended to do and that's create hype for the movie. Whether people liked it or not, she became a trending topic. Lol It gave fans what they wanted like the helmet and enough mystery for everyone else to want to know more. Plus, this was the first trailer. I'm sure more will be revealed and pieced together in the 2nd one.

To me, Larson's emoting in the trailer comes across as a battle-hardened soldier who's seen (and done) some fucked up stuff. I can't help but think the fact she's a woman is the main reason people either can't see that, or can't deal with seeing it. It reminds me of how some people say a woman is yelling, despite speaking at a normal volume, if she happens to be assertive.

It was meant to get you interested in the film by just hinting at what goes on in it without giving you any real details. Those will come with the first and second real trailers that will likely be out around Thanksgiving and during the Super Bowl
At first, when they cast Brie Larson I was like "Eww" because she didn't have that super sexy and curvy athletic body that the normal female superhero's have. But after watching this trailer many times and thinking about it, that "sexy" body image of female superheroes is just a trope that needs to be broken because it is rather sexiest and restricting. Nothing against Black Widow but her over sexualized character is a character shackled by what the "boys" want to see when reading a comic. Captain Marvel is a character that the girls want to see (and guys will too). Brie Larson was a good choice because her acting chops will bring emotion and depth to this character and she will be on the same level as Iron Man, Captain America and Spider-Man. Not just eye-candy for the boys, know what I mean?

Don't expect this movie to be lighthearted, but dead serious. Of course, there will be humor, but Captain Marvel and Brie Larson both have to prove in this one movie that they DESERVE to be in the exalted role they were placed when Nick Fury sent out his distress signal at the end of Infinity War, when all was lost. If fans don't think they (character and actress) are worthy, they will be widely resented. This can't be another Thor: Ragnarok.
I got to see exclusive of this movie yesterday. The flashbacks so you do go back in time and her memories just to collect everything together it takes most of the movie to get to this point. not too very last couple minutes of the movie you see her in red suit. She even brings up the Avengers idea to him. And brings up important person death and tells him how he's going to die. And says Loki's name that was a big shock.
