Avatar 4 & 5 needs to come. An end with 3 won't be fair to the audience who have been waiting for so long to get a proper storyline and execution. Let the movies be made exactly how James Cameron wants it to to be. Else, they might just fail because of pressure from different entities to cut costs or to end it with 3 with a different storyline.

    My theory for Avatar 3:
They will introduce a new Wicked Na'vi clan. These clan are advance civilization live in isolated way underneath the pandora. They don't worship Eywa but the Suns of Alpha centaury. Thus, they are called the fire/ash clan. Because of the suns worshipping, their culture solely based on Meso-American or ancient Egypt or Eastern Asia. They were the main cause of the first great sorrow and lost the war to the first Toruk Makto and seek revenge to the Eywa and the rest of Na'vi clans. They see opportunities of the humanity second arrival and will considered them as ally to seize control and power over Pandora.

@@israelRaizer I think the ashes live underground near the belly of Pandora. The surface Na'vi unaware of them or have little knowlodge or maybe a forbidden knowledge to them. Kiri being the main focus (potentially involving a new sacred tree?) and the return of Jake’s Toruk perhaps?

Avatar never dissapointed anybody, Avatar 2 was a massive succes and my god was the movie more than beautiful and outstandingly magical. James can't make a bad movie, and even if there's already plenty of cgi movies, there isn't anything like Avatar and the world of Pandora, thats something you don't get anywhere but with James. Avatar 3, 4 and 5 need to come, this world and this story that we are all riding along with isn't over yet, its still progressing and telling more about other clans, expanding and showing more of the world of Pandora. I woudn't care to watch a 4 or more hour film of Avatar, I wouldn't even doubt it. I really hope the other films do come out, I know James will always bring out the best of the best with these sequels and they won't be in risk of failing.

I’m not even an avatar fan, but I watched the 2nd avatar movie and walked out thinking ‘that was 3 hours?’ It felt like an hour and a half. My friends and family said the same, even though they had never seen the first one. I absolutely disagree. Movies are the only way to do avatar justice! On to the next 5 and beyond!
Edit: I think that’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard. By that logic, wouldn’t people have ‘lost interest in it’ before the 2nd avatar came out? Yet it’s on its way to become one of the highest grossing movies of all time. I absolutely disagree. Heck, look at Star Wars. It has more than 5 movies. The only reason the newer ones didn’t do as well as they had hoped was because of the poor execution, story telling, direction, etc. in fact, the newer ones had *more* hype than the previous! You underestimate peoples’ hunger for good movies and stories. As a non-avatar fan I absolutely would love it if they did a lot more avatar movies, preferably ~ 3 hours in length each.

The problem for Cameron is, just like with roller coaster enthusiasts at theme parks, the diehard Avatar enthusiasts who would watch ten hour Avatar movies or even binge watch a 100-hour series where all the cuts are included, are not the audience that makes Cameron the billions. They are only a tiny micro portion of the audience, unfortunately. What makes the film producers and directors and actors rich is the general public, the casual "take my date to the movies then go home smoke a bowl, netflix and chill" ordinary average people. Unfortunately most people don't have our intense attention spans and also don't have our intense enthusiasm, and that's why 90-120 minute movies are typically considered most appropriate for theaters for the general public.

About halfway through the video, but I just had a neat idea since the other movies "are going in a completely different direction". What if the rest of the movies are about the Na'vi going to Earth to revive it, or even bring Eywa to Earth somehow in order to reintroduce a natural way of life to humans. Or even reengineer humans to be more like Na'vi since it sounds like a lot of humans are having health issues in the Avatar universe. The title of the 3rd movie, "The Seed Bearer" definitely sounds like something that's going to bring life somewhere. Though with the knowledge of fire Na'vi (okay Fire Nation), maybe that tribe/clan are the harbingers of death, and life. Since...yanno, fire motifs, ash, fertile soil, etc.
Or, plot twist, they just incinerate earth and the Na'vi end up being the invaders.

I see your point, but I must say that Avatar wouldn't be this successful if there was not fight. Most people need action (myself included), fighting and also strong emotions and a war has all of these. It definitely has a great impact on every person, because there are so many different things included. I would also gladly watch the Na'vi's daily and regular life, without having to fear that one of them dies (there is actually a circus show from Cirque du Soleil called Toruk - The First Flight which has less action in it) and I think there are also comics. Maybe in the future we will get more relaxed stuff from the franchise but the movies have to do well for that.

Seeing a war BETWEEN Navi tribes would be interesting as hell. Especially if there were TRADEOFFS with each tribe having different advantages and disadvantages. For example maybe one tribe is better at close range hand to hand combat but the other tribe has better archers for long range bow/arrow attack.

With all films set to arrive after theatrical release on streaming services I don’t see why a 9 hour cut can’t be made available. Cinemas anything over 3 hours pushes the audiences willingness to sit down and pay attention, but once at home and with the ability to pause and return 9 hours for a movie is no different than a 9 episode mini-series.

I'm actually suspecting David Thewlis is playing an evil Fire Navi - he does have a knack for playing villains from Ares to Einon in Dragonheart. I do not think he will be a one-dimensional cartoonishly evil villain like Quaritch or The Whaler though - he will probably be an old fashioned Navi that is very stuck in his ways.

And as a tribute to him they are able to "upload" Jamie Flatters' character from the metkayina spirit tree into an avatar or even human body and re-unite with him that way. Still paves the way for Britain Dalton's character to be the main character fighting for Pandora. But Britain Dalton is like, 21. Hope his accent improves between avatar 2 and 3 otherwise the narration will be painful to listen to. Lo'ak's accent is frankly terrible and also his diction is like an average mind-numbingly stupid stoner tiktok millennial.

to bring earth back alive I don’t know just a thought. Or somewhere along those lines.

The first 2 movies never got an OFFICIAL MOVIE NOVELIZATION and a "midquel" novel taking place BETWEEN the first 2 movies or a prequel novel about the beginning of the Avatar program with a young Dr. Grace would be interesting as hell. And can this fictional universe be expanded to maybe have other worlds besides Pandora explored? Do Pandora and Earth have to be the only 2 worlds of relevance in this fictional universe?
