The vaporwave quality of this video is what makes it so enjoyable to watch.

I like the animation. Describing a overhead cam engine with push rods instead. Its a B motor diagram.

Cat C15 is a good engine until they stop working and you have to buy parts
Ive got a 2006 msx single conversion with the iva acert deleted in a 02 FLD 132
Just replaced a 02 1.5 million miles 45000 hr NBM

out towboats are using cat c32 acert tier 3 engines. only issues we've had out of 24/7 365 operations (only shut down every 1,000 hours for the oil and filter change) is the fuel filter housing cracking at the bolt hole on one of the engines from vibration, had to replace a turbo because a deckhand washed it at high temp and thats it. minor leaks that are fixed after a quick tightening job (regular maintenance on something thats vibrating all the time). been running 24/7 365 @ 1800 rpm most of its life. Detroits burn oil like crazy and leak like a newborn baby. Our boats with Cummins seem to have a lot of fuel issues and require frequent oil changes (every 500 hours). with an engine that never shuts down, that translates to 2 oil chnges a month. quite expensive.

This is funny now. People, operators and truck techs should realize . That Detroit diesel is mans best friend. Easy to work on, cheap parts, etc. They have the tech. Never seen a Detroit with a hole in the block. I'm sure others have. I've seen many blown cummins though.

Detroits make THE best boat anchors. Couldn't put me in a Detroit if you held a gun to m head. Always leaking something and always have an engine light on.

Sorry but I dont agree that they are garbage. I have driven mine for 16 years. I just overhauled it at 150,000,000. Its the best of both worlds. It has the pure steel sleaves like the 6nz model and has the power stroke of the c18. So I have more power than i need. So yeah cat is still the best. I'm going to keep this truck till I retire cause this engine just got a fresh overhaul and I'm looking at another million and half to go.

C15 Got the best tech till it broke... broke the driver too

Misspelled "which" at the beginning and you can't compare an m11 to the other two it's not even close to the displacement. Main three should be cummins ISX, series 60 Detroit and the c-15. Acert technology makes these engines run hotter, get worse mileage and less throttle response. Also when the actuators open on the exhaust stroke dirty air is still forced back into the intake side of the head. Take off you intake elbow and look inside it will have exhaust soot in it. I am a big believer in CAT engines but acert technology is just a different way to try and Reburn exhaust air.

I actually drive a Cat c13 accert 12.5 525hp is very good engine but,,, too manny problems with the turbos, exhaust manifold gaskets, coolant leaks at pre inercooler, ecu failure, very expensive parts made in china and to much parts to remove for a small repair, I also have a detroit 60Series 12.7 550hp wich is more reliable in parts fuel economy, power, easy to fix, no leaks like many people says, never fails, but if you see one leaking or having problems,,,, is not because the engine would be bad, is bacause the owner is sooooo cheap to investon it!

Where is CAT now? HAHAHAHA. Those ACERTS were proven to be garbage and EGR engines topped them.

I have a pre ACERT motor, 550hp 5EK block. Best Diesel engines on the planet. 1.7 million miles, and it's never been rebuilt, only had injectors, and I had to replace my exhaust valves on cylinder #5, runs like a champ. Who wants to
      Run with me?

About the same... but CAT are much more expensive, when lights at dash comes..

Pretty damb dure cummins is leaps and bounds ahead of CAT in terms of engine technology 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 add a video about the ARD head on cat engines and how they fail yearly

Any pre emission diesel was good as of Cummins cat or Detroit. The best yrs being 99,00,01. but yet again can't beat Cummins/NASA technology. An by far the best diesel ever made was the 5.9 isb Cummins 12or24v.

Twin turbo didn't pack in more cooler air into cyl FLAT OUT LIE. Cat was really good at saying they didn't need EGR NEWS FLASH what do you think IVA's do. They opened intake valves letting exh bleed back into intake manifold. It did have more boost pressure up to 60 psi on some engines. There is common thinking twin turbo was the problem with Acert but it never was the issue it was ECM. Seen acert twin turbo setup put on 6NZ engine (pre emission) they run hard.
