Thanks for the video. It's now about time for ATN to solve the problem with keeping the zero point! It's unacceptable to charge so much money for a rifle scope and sell your loyal customers a half-finished product!😔
Don't do business with them. I know I never will again. The whole dam engineering team along with quality control need to be FIRED. Using customers as beta testers is what is happening. Also, you have to send the scope back every time the battery needs to be replaced. SCAMMERS!
Im wondering now why Steve Lemonov left ATN. Im guessing the co.oany focused on the chase for the dollar instead of priducing good products maintaing a customer base
i find my 4k better than my gen 5 as i find the picture quality off the gen 5 not as clear as my 4k atn needs to sort this junk out or ill be sending mine back also
The sensor in the X Sight 5 has 1.5 micron pixels Those small pixels mean you need a s**t load of IR to get a decent image at any sort of decent range and there are simply no LED based IR illuminators that can produce the intensity of IR needed to get a decent NV image from the X Sight 5 For that, you need a laser (vcsel) based IR
265 yrds subsonic sounds like a difficult shot. That drop would be insane. Probably best to make different profiles up to 300 yards and not rely on the ballistic calc. That is a very VERY challenging shot subsonic. What is that drop about 50"?
@@j.skidmore 👊 for foxes and coons and such, I prefer 17wsm or even 17hmr for 150 and closer. Subs are hard... very lobby. If you're used to .22mag, you'll pick up on subs a lot faster than those, like myself, who prefer flat shooters
Not good pal that’s put me right of thanks for showing what up with the ATN at the moment sorry to here you spent your money on it I had higher hopes for the gen 5
with the latest firmware, I am not seeing it as much. I am about to move it from the 8.6 black to a 22LR shooting subs. This will really put the ballistics app and zeroing to the test. I will keep you posted.
I did get the ballistics figured out. I took a bit of tweaking with the BCs to get them right. Scope is still giving me issues with consistent performance, though. I took it on a hunt last weekend and had to reboot it 3 times before it would work. at 165 yards it was telling me the target was unreachable. I was shooting at steal earlier that day at 300. If the scope worked 95% of the time it would be an excellent pairing. Still like it and will keep using it.
No. I went through 5 of them sent the last one back 2 weeks ago and ATN still has not refunded my money. Look at the Arken Zulu LRF for a solid alternative
I love the 8.6. Completely impractical but just plain fun. It is currently in pieces as I am waiting for my Aero Solus Action. I was not getting the accuracy I wanted out of it and after moving the barrel to another Savage rifle I had, the groups greatly improved. I decided to rebuild on the Solus.
@@barryschwingel8563 Sorry behind on this. I went with the 12 to get a tad more speed out of the supers. If I was only shooting subs I would go with the 8". I love the caliber however I call it impractical because it is not SAAMI approved. the 1 in 3 twist has crazy spin drift and the bullet selection is limited due to that 1 in 3. Lastly, I most likely would not harvest trophy animals with it. That being said it is my favorite caliber to play with and I think everyone needs one. I am toying with building one using the Mos-Tek 1 in 6.5" to have a greater bullet selection for supers.

Isn't it dumb that with all the technology in 2023 that these scopes do not offer an autofocus feature? 🤔
Thank you. I was looking for a video like this one.

Would not even spend the time adding one to my weapon for free. Will check back next season and see if they have thier shitza together by then.
This is a STEAL for gen 2 at $1000. A gen 3 would be 7x the price and this is still clearer than a 1280 thermal.

I'm with ya. Subs need to be treated like rim fire

Were the hogs filmed with factory ir or auxiliary illuminator?
A shifting Point of Impact during zoom seems to a common problem with the X Sight 5.

I still don’t know what to buy, a wraith or a SightMark??? Seeing to many problems for this day and age in technology…..any thoughts ??
Is this working good now? Thinking about getting one for a 8.6 sub. Thanks!

looking at this for my first scope for night hunts would you recommend this scope are the bugs worked out of it yet?
Thanks

@NiteReign I'm going with Fix. Would you recommend 12 or 8 inch barrel? Why do you believe it's impractical? Thanks!

extremely poor quality on what's supposed to be a 4k+ sensor scope the 4k pro is better
