For the cost you could buy a recent Smart Phone with great features for lower cost better focus and image / FPS. I feel that my Canon T5i although it is heavier and more to carry could offer better image, Focus and with a Rodes mic offer better audio and with a cover (dead cat) you could get better sounding audio (less tin) little no no wind. My T5i is now on Ebay for the same cost or less as this camera. I feel this has anti motion and small form factor but is that better than great video and better audio from a DSLR. I am ok with keeping my current gear. I was almost on board with getting this after your video but that tin sound and wind killed it. I also like having a couple lens with me to change out when needed. What about comparing this to a nice Gopro with with ext mic and windscreen. I think the cost would still be in that area but better everything else. 3/5 stars - Cons: High cost, bad audio focus needs to work allot better.
Agreed! There are so many older cameras under $300 that perform much better than the Pocket in terms of image quality and other features. The Pocket def seems to be going for a vlogger/selfie niche. Great suggestion to do a GoPro comparison. Maybe I need a GoPro now 😅😅😅

The footage looks alright, excellent even in bright conditions. I do love what this camera is about, but it feels rushed. The fact that they had to come out with a firmware update immediately and have no accessories readily availlable really doesn't inspire much confidence. Though the fact that they are able to address issues in firmware might make it hella usable in time, like we've seen with the Panasonic GH5(S)/G9. Still, unlike the BMPCC4K this actually is pocketable. Who would've thought that end of 2018 we would've been walking around with 3-axis stabilized gimbal cameras in our pockets? :P It is impressive and I just gotten one in myself to play around with a bit. But I do hope like the Mavic series we'll see a better Pro and Zoom model.

You can hear it in this video, like there’s some strange stereo artifact in going on in the windy scenes. But overall, I’m pretty amazed at where camera tech is going these days. We’re getting closer and closer to RIP-omg shaky footage.

So you end up with a hot mess. :P Though, armlengths indoors I tried it and it was actually alright (haven't taken it out yet, too cold out lol). Actually reminded me a lil bit of the early RUclips vlog days, where one would use a Cisco Flip Cam MinoHD.
You’re right, it does have a kind of webcam vibe to it! I didn’t talk about this in my video (I forgot lol ooops!), but I wish the field of view was slightly wider. It’s workable as is, but a little too close for comfort imo. Who needs to see all our pores in every shot? Lol
I'd honestly rather take the GoPro Hero 7 for portability and additional use cases - and I don't like GoPros. AF pulsing, micro jitters, and just the general "smartphone" sensor aesthetic. This ain't it chief. Your video, however, IS it.

Not super convinced atm what the Pocket really adds that’s dramatically different from phone footage, but I def need to do more tests. Also there’s still no color profiles on the Pocket - where them LOGS br0
I think it's great for a first try. It is an ideal camera for shooting in places where having a typical DSLR or mirrorless isn't feasible. So while it has a lot of quirks that make it not an ideal camera for me I do hope its a sign of things to come. And of course there is the problem that all DJI products have, the cost is just a little too high for what it is.

There are a few smart phones with better cameras than this, bur they cost more. Apple does have a trade in for the iPhone X that costs about the same.
