I am not a super techy person, and this is my first video camera upgrade from my iPhone, so this review is from a general user standpoint! There are still a lot of features I haven’t explored, but these are the main things I’ve noticed over the past few months! 😁
I have it for over a year now and love it. The Pocket2 is my favourite camera for doing tutorial videos. Just so handy with the lens, the mic and the connection to the phone. You've done a great job doing that review!

The image quality of this is far better than a gopro Hero11 or a DJI Action 3 for low light/night. This is one seriously underrated camera and should last you for years to come.

2nd comment - I meant to type this earlier. The iPhone uses something called, VBR variable bit rate for audio which causes the image and audio to shift. There are several videos on YT showing how to fix it.
Can you please mention the total number of hours that you were able to record in one single charge? I think that would give a measurable overview of the battery performance.

I have the same maxcam case for my DJI 😊 I actually bought it by mistake when I wanted the DJI pocket 3 but couldn’t cancel the order and couldn’t get through on the phone so I kept it I bought a few accessories filters and a different stand but have to say I’m more than delighted with it. Good job with your video 👍

I have two phone systems, an Iphone 11 AND a Samsung FE20 linked to my Samsung A10 tablet... sync is good. I appreciate what you say re the battery life. In all honesty that can be overcome to a degree by simply carrying a few extra battery packs etc. 👍

Yes you can use the Bluetooth mic and app at the same time! When the mic is connected you’ll see a little microphone in the upper right corner while using the app! (If that was what you were asking, and if not I can clarify) And thank you!! I’m glad this was helpful!

And I want this as the gimbal and stabilizer seem like really good as I have knee injury and sometimes use walking stick so the movement usually is shakey. One question, how long would it take for the camera to cool down? If the temp ever spike up.
I just bought a hero 12 and I love it. I was considering getting a gimbal, but the pocket 2 can be had now for about twice the price of the gimbal. Any thoughts on whether you think the pocket 2 is worth it in 2024? It’s under $300 now and readily available. I’m mostly going to use it alongside my hero 12, but for lower light conditions. I know the pocket three has great low light capability, but it looks like the pocket two is no slouch in low light. I would love your thoughts. Do you think it’s worth it in 2024 since it’s under $300 now?
I think it depends on what you’re using it for! Over all, I’d say it’s worth it, but the low light capture is pretty bad 😂 you can’t really see anything. For me, that’s not much of a problem, but if you need that capability then it might not be the right thing. Personally I think it hold up well, and is still an excellent camera, totally worth it in 2024, but if you are looking for the low light capture as an essential it doesn’t really tick that box.
I took mine on a trip. I noticed that during the first month The camera would last me about 5-7 hours of recording lots of short videos, but about week 5, I noticed the battery would run out after maybe 3-4 hours of short videos. Have this happened to you? Thanks
In my tests the tracking seems quite poor compared to the mini3 pro drone for example, still useful at times. Otherwise the image quality is really good from it.
After I’ve used it a bit more it seems that tracking faster moving objects causes a little trouble. I typically don’t move fast 😂 so it’s fine for how I use it, but I have noticed since making this video that it gets tripped up tracking with speedier movements.
I like your video first of all. I'm in the market of purchasing a portable video cam for my upcoming trip to Greece. I'm debating between the Pocket 2 and GoPro. Is the Pocket 2 pretty easy to use and light weight in general? Thank you, and keep up the good work.
For filming while traveling the DJI Pocket 2 is better than go pro unless you plan to use the waterproof features of go pro. Go Pros other than the newest one which I have actually are notorious for freezing and running the battery down. I hate my go pro 7 but I love my go pro 11. I also own a dji pocket 2, I'm actually selling it. I love it but I just don't use it anymore because I do more professional type filming.
iMovie is the one I primarily use. The dji came with one you can use but there are a lot of features it doesn’t have that iMovie does. I haven’t been able to find any others that don’t have a watermark.
It depends. The longest I’ve gotten out of it filming continuously was about 2-2.5 hours. But if you’re pausing in between or not filming long stretches it lasts longer.

It’s really stable and the gimbal takes away movement from walking, so the video is smooth!

Yes the charger is usb! So if you have a portable charger that should work just fine!

What editing program do you like to use on the iPhone, besides iMovie?
