I absolutely love MJ's reaction and celebration where he jumps in the air and pumps his fist a few times, definitely my favorite NBA moment of all time
I think people forget how good that Cleveland team was. The Bulls had no business playing with them that year, but Michael effectively just won that series himself, and the same for the next series against the Knicks. He hit this shot on my 17th birthday I'll never forget it.
This is my favorite game winner of all time. The simultaneous emotions from opposite sides after the shot falls is amazing to watch. Freaking Jordan does this leaping fist pump and he jumps 10 feet in the fricking air.
If there was any doubt that Michael Jordan wasn't one of the best players in the NBA, before the shot against the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1989, this shot probably erased whatever doubt was left.
To their credit, the Cavs kept playing him clean even when Jordan was pretty much going one on one with their whole team. If it had been the Knicks or a few other teams at the time, they would have just clobbered him. And look at Ehlo when the final shot falls. That's pain.
MJ is My Favorite NBA Player Of All Time Cause He Made Clutch Plays In The End and This Shot is The Greatest In His Career As a Huge NBA and Sixers Fan I Support The Bulls Go Sixers Go Bulls!
Vince? What about the shot against the Lakers?I believe Game 3 which tied the Lakers..Bulls then won in OT.That shot help them toward their FIRST Championship..I am a Knicks Fan,been born there..
This was THE moment in my life were I stopped watching Professional sports. I turned the TV off and walked away from the Browns, Indians and Cavs forever. I will never return.
***** It was a combination of this + butterfingers Biner that lead to my complete loss of interest in sports in general. Big surprise that Cleveland STILL hasn't won any championships with any of its teams 25 or more year later, yuk yuk. Total waste of time watching Cleveland sports.
@hotgat1 wrong about 2. this was the 2nd time Jordan won a playoff series. MJ's 1st playoff series win was the year before in '88 against the Cavs in the 1st round in 5 games.
Only people I've heard say the Finals was rigged were either GS bandwagoners or LeBron haters. Nobody else bought it. Glad to have seen this fake GS/Curry hype absolutely demolished in spectacular fashion.
MJ was just determined to not let the Cavs beat him. There are certain teams that he always got up for and would just refuse to let them win. The Cavs and the Knicks most definitely were on that list.
To say Lebron never had a supporting cast in Cleveland is foolish...that's not the problem. Lebron is a choke artist that's why he hasn't won a title...What's the excuse going to be for not winning a title in Miami? The almighty Lebron, along with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh isn't enough? Not to mention Chalmers, and Bibby, and Haslem, and Ilgauskus...
@superfob54 Even with videos like this you can't see that in the last few shots it was MJ all the way. That's what leaders supposed to do, get the ball in even they opposition KNEW who the ball is going to. Do I need to mention what LB did at Boston Garden? Is it the same as what MJ did to CAVs here?
+Andre Coleman Yup. Cleveland stupidly traded him at the beginning of the next season for the rights to Danny Ferry (who'd been drafted by the Clippers, but refused to play for them). One of the dumbest trades in NBA history, IMO, but I'm glad because it helped my Bulls out in the long run. Harper was athletic enough to make MJ work on both sides of the ball, so trading him away made it easier for MJ to give the Cavs that work.
@@sportjames23 Agreed...the Cavs were not the same team after they traded Harper away. He was a different player before the injuries (still good after, but not as dynamic).
@inefekt69 Another hater? Cleveland gave LeBron 0 chances of a championship.. He wasted 7 years. He moved the team to the playoffs but what did his team mates do? Let him down.
alright, enough of the M.J.vs Lebron comparisons!1,Jordan was a shooting guard, and Le Bron is a power forward,2.this is the first time Jordan ever won a playoff series.3.Jordan didn't get many endorsements,or national T.V.time until he started winning championships.before the '90s you hardly ever saw anyone wear Air Jordans.4.no one expected Jordan to win.a lot of people will be upset if LeBron doesn't deliver the goods.
he didnt have teamates yet they had the best record in the nba two consecutive seasons. shouldnt the team with the best record win the title? lebron choked it up and you know it. every gosh damn time in the playoffs lebron choked up wade stepped in to take care of him. thats not a player, thats a phony.
cleveland tried to pick up every player lebron wanted, or are you one of those silly guys who really thought lebron didnt have the say so of who they brought in? didnt the cavs have the best record in the nba two consecutive seasons? yes, but lebron choked it up being the only star. why blame the cavs? wasnt it lebron getting tired, bricking shot after shot in the playoffs because of the pressure? bosh, wade can ya help me out?
I'm sorry but Lebron will NEVER, EVER, EVER, not in a million years be anywhere close to MJ and the reason is this... clutch performances. Both times that LeBron has won a ring, it was because of help from his teammates (Ray Allen Corner 3), (Kyrie clutch 3 vs GS).. Jordan was the man, wouldn't hesitate to take the last shot... he had a killer instinct, something LeBron (as amazing as Lebron is), doesnt have
LeBron has 3 rings... So what do you mean "Both" times? There was three times. LeBron actually does have a killer instinct as well. Look at him in the playoffs this year.
Coming from a Cavs and a LeBron fan, I agree that LeBron will never be as good as Jordan, but not because he doesn't always take the last shot..... Jordan's competitiveness will never be matched, but allowing RA or Kyrie to take the last shot isn't what puts LeBron below him.
Tahir Razzaq When MJ retired and went to baseball the bulls still made atleast the playoffs, when Lebron left the cavs didn't make the playoffs, the heat went almost every year, he goes back to the cavs they make it every year, heat doesn't make it once. Only player in history to do that. That's somewhat close to MJ and it's unfair to compare them because they played in different time era's. They both are amazing though
LeBron's teammates played well in the regular season, but come postseason time, they mostly played like bums. Take Mo Williams, for instance. He played like Tony Parker in the regular season, but then like Smush Parker in the playoffs. You don't have back-to-back 60-win seasons without guys making a lot of plays. They just couldn't carry their performance over to playoffs.
Wait so you admit that LeBron had no help in Cleveland and that he was their "only star." Yet, these Cavs teams had the best record in the NBA. So since LeBron was their "only star" and their second best player was Mo Williams, I think we can agree it was LeBron's own merit that led them to have the best record in the NBA. But you're mad because "wasnt it lebron getting tired" in the playoffs--- of course LeBron was tired because he carried a horrible team to the best record in the NBA.
That's bullshit. "you can clearly see that pippen isnt good yet". How the fuck can you "clearly" judge a player's skill based on a play where they didn't get the ball. And I could say that Jordan wasn't that good at North Carolina and Orlando Woolridge "elevated" him. But what the hell does that have to do with anything?
They didn't win a championship with this team. Lebron hit a game winner in the ECF's with a shit team too. Neither players won until they had really good teams.
LeBron James is second best leader ever, after MJ. Wasn't he a leader even with Wade and Bosh on the same roster? Wade let him be the leader cause he knew LeBron would be better than him or CB. Didn't he take 2 rings, over KD, Timmy, Kobe, Dirk and others? Most of the people think LeBron is not even close to MJ...MJ's team, that have won 6 rings, had chemistry, almost as good as Spurs team that dominated last season, and back then with ''Twin Towers''. They had Phil Jackson. If you put Gregg Popovich and LeBron together, and create roster around LBJ...no team would, in next five years, get the ring. I can almost guarantee that with 100% certainty. The most important thing I wanted to write down right here is that...the Cavs are going to get the Ring this year. Almost 100% sure, again.
I love how Jordan jumps in the air with excitement at the same time Ehlo falls to the ground in despair
I absolutely love MJ's reaction and celebration where he jumps in the air and pumps his fist a few times, definitely my favorite NBA moment of all time
Since the NBA first round was only five games at this time this was basically a game 7 on the road so it's even more impressive. GOAT
Mj is a killer
I think people forget how good that Cleveland team was. The Bulls had no business playing with them that year, but Michael effectively just won that series himself, and the same for the next series against the Knicks. He hit this shot on my 17th birthday I'll never forget it.

2 words- "Caliver Killer"
MJ SUPERNATURAL!
MJ "Cavaliers Killer"
LeBron "Bulls Killer"
I remember were I was and will never forget it.

Oh Yeah Those Shots As Well LOL!
This was THE moment in my life were I stopped watching Professional sports. I turned the TV off and walked away from the Browns, Indians and Cavs forever. I will never return.
Why?
Did you watch the video?
Arthur Chapman yeah
Adolphin Hitter so you figured it out. Good job.

I know that feeling :D
I got a ball signed by these guy's that yr, (The Cavs)
People would think it's in honor of Lebron. Afterall, Lebron actually wore 23 WITH cleveland. MJ just whooped their asses
poor Ehlo from game hero to a name forever associated with "the shot"
How ironic D🌹hit a game winner against the same team 26 years and 1 day later with the same amount of time left on the game clock.
STFU
but then the same team hit a gw on him 2 nights later and he lost the series in 6 lmfao
and we're now finally champions
It'll be another 52 years until Cleveland wins again. Games 5-7 of 2016 NBA Finals= Rigged, Not Lakers/Kings 2002.
Only people I've heard say the Finals was rigged were either GS bandwagoners or LeBron haters. Nobody else bought it. Glad to have seen this fake GS/Curry hype absolutely demolished in spectacular fashion.
The Indians are gonna do it.
What do you mean?
Theoretically Applicable Trinity Even though they didn't. I meant win the World Ser.
It's AIR..Not Human. GOAT.
How did Ehlo not draw a foul on his go ahead shot with 3 seconds left. MJ clobbered him!
LeBron - this is called building your OWN legacy
That would be the start of the bulls dynasty
How is saying LeBron had no support foolish? Who was his best teammate in a six year span? Mo Williams?
most great players that lead their team to the best record in the nba win the title and dont choke in the end.
Cleveland got theirs in Game 5 of the 2007 ECF when LeBron ended Detroit.
Good stuff.
Michael Jordan Pack. It was a from torrent I downloaded two years ago.
MJ was just determined to not let the Cavs beat him. There are certain teams that he always got up for and would just refuse to let them win. The Cavs and the Knicks most definitely were on that list.
U can clearly see that pippen isnt good yet, jordan elevated him
@superfob54 then again, when was the last time a player did not have teamates to help win games?
Why wasn't harp on MJ23!!??!!
what's the name of the entire documentary?
So epic
The Cavaliers should retire the #23, in honor of Michael Jordan.

@inefekt69 glad somebody understands!
I had no idea that Ron Harper was on that Cavs squad
+Andre Coleman Yup. Cleveland stupidly traded him at the beginning of the next season for the rights to Danny Ferry (who'd been drafted by the Clippers, but refused to play for them). poor cleveland.... the shot done by Jordan and the drive done by elway.
And The Decision done by LeBron
And the 3 by Kyrie, and the Block by Lebron, and the Championship by the CAVALIERS
Don't forget "The Fumble." I'm from Cleveland.
MrJgreig72 Elway did it to cleveland 3 times. Then he went ahead and did it to marty shcenheber when he went to K.C
@iTzeXile13 I doubt that. he's an amazing player. I'm not a fan' though, just calling it how it is.
Who cares,he dont even know you.so thats how much your comment matters.it doesnt
Ehlo will be a part of this"; the shot"for as long as people talk Basketball. Not so bad huh?Lol

defense was so bad during this time
