    I love how Jordan jumps in the air with excitement at the same time Ehlo falls to the ground in despair

    I absolutely love MJ's reaction and celebration where he jumps in the air and pumps his fist a few times, definitely my favorite NBA moment of all time

    Since the NBA first round was only five games at this time this was basically a game 7 on the road so it's even more impressive. GOAT

    I think people forget how good that Cleveland team was. The Bulls had no business playing with them that year, but Michael effectively just won that series himself, and the same for the next series against the Knicks. He hit this shot on my 17th birthday I'll never forget it.

    This is my favorite game winner of all time. The simultaneous emotions from opposite sides after the shot falls is amazing to watch. Freaking Jordan does this leaping fist pump and he jumps 10 feet in the fricking air.

    If there was any doubt that Michael Jordan wasn't one of the best players in the NBA, before the shot against the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1989, this shot probably erased whatever doubt was left.

  • @satidog
    @satidog 10 лет назад +4

    To their credit, the Cavs kept playing him clean even when Jordan was pretty much going one on one with their whole team. If it had been the Knicks or a few other teams at the time, they would have just clobbered him. And look at Ehlo when the final shot falls. That's pain.

    To say Lebron never had a supporting cast in Cleveland is foolish...that's not the problem. Lebron is a choke artist that's why he hasn't won a title...What's the excuse going to be for not winning a title in Miami? The almighty Lebron, along with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh isn't enough? Not to mention Chalmers, and Bibby, and Haslem, and Ilgauskus...

      @sportjames23 9 лет назад +3

      +Andre Coleman Yup. Cleveland stupidly traded him at the beginning of the next season for the rights to Danny Ferry (who'd been drafted by the Clippers, but refused to play for them). One of the dumbest trades in NBA history, IMO, but I'm glad because it helped my Bulls out in the long run. Harper was athletic enough to make MJ work on both sides of the ball, so trading him away made it easier for MJ to give the Cavs that work.

    • @guy.smiley

      @@sportjames23 Agreed...the Cavs were not the same team after they traded Harper away. He was a different player before the injuries (still good after, but not as dynamic).

    alright,enough of the M.J.vs Lebron comparisons!1,Jordan was a shooting guard,and Le Bron is a power forward,2.this is the first time Jordan ever won a playoff series.3.Jordan didn't get many endorsements,or national T.V.time until he started winning championships.before the '90s you hardly ever saw anyone wear Air Jordans.4.no one expected Jordan to win.a lot of people will be upset if LeBron doesn't deliver the goods.

  • @TahirTravels
    @TahirTravels 7 лет назад +8

    I'm sorry but Lebron will NEVER, EVER, EVER, not in a million years be anywhere close to MJ and the reason is this... clutch performances. Both times that LeBron has won a ring, it was because of help from his teammates (Ray Allen Corner 3), (Kyrie clutch 3 vs GS).. Jordan was the man, wouldn't hesitate to take the last shot... he had a killer instinct, something LeBron (as amazing as Lebron is), doesnt have

    • @xenobiath5900
      @xenobiath5900 7 лет назад +1

      LeBron has 3 rings... So what do you mean "Both" times? There was three times. LeBron actually does have a killer instinct as well. Look at him in the playoffs this year.

      @matthewvanoirschot6076 7 лет назад +1

      Coming from a Cavs and a LeBron fan, I agree that LeBron will never be as good as Jordan, but not because he doesn't always take the last shot..... Jordan's competitiveness will never be matched, but allowing RA or Kyrie to take the last shot isn't what puts LeBron below him.

    • @dakota8381
      @dakota8381 7 лет назад

      Tahir Razzaq When MJ retired and went to baseball the bulls still made atleast the playoffs, when Lebron left the cavs didn't make the playoffs, the heat went almost every year, he goes back to the cavs they make it every year, heat doesn't make it once. Only player in history to do that. That's somewhat close to MJ and it's unfair to compare them because they played in different time era's. They both are amazing though

    LeBron's teammates played well in the regular season, but come postseason time, they mostly played like bums. Take Mo Williams, for instance. He played like Tony Parker in the regular season, but then like Smush Parker in the playoffs.
    You don't have back-to-back 60-win seasons without guys making a lot of plays. They just couldn't carry their performance over to playoffs.

    Wait so you admit that LeBron had no help in Cleveland and that he was their "only star." Yet, these Cavs teams had the best record in the NBA. So since LeBron was their "only star" and their second best player was Mo Williams, I think we can agree it was LeBron's own merit that led them to have the best record in the NBA.
    But you're mad because "wasnt it lebron getting tired" in the playoffs--- of course LeBron was tired because he carried a horrible team to the best record in the NBA.

    LeBron James is second best leader ever, after MJ. Wasn't he a leader even with Wade and Bosh on the same roster? Wade let him be the leader cause he knew LeBron would be better than him or CB. Didn't he take 2 rings, over KD, Timmy, Kobe, Dirk and others? Most of the people think LeBron is not even close to MJ...MJ's team, that have won 6 rings, had chemistry, almost as good as Spurs team that dominated last season, and back then with ''Twin Towers''. They had Phil Jackson. If you put Gregg Popovich and LeBron together, and create roster around LBJ...no team would, in next five years, get the ring. I can almost guarantee that with 100% certainty. The most important thing I wanted to write down right here is that...the Cavs are going to get the Ring this year. Almost 100% sure, again.
